Some people are frustrated that such a small simple game (solo dev) is nominated instead of a more traditional 3rd person story driven game. Just check out the past winners, basically all in the same genre (Action-adventure) except for Overwatch (Waifu sim).

My opinion? I think it is a good thing that Balatro was nominated and I hope more like it get nominated. Though Wukong should probably win this year if it's as good as people say.

I knew it would be low budge and strange but it was actually unredeemable. The game didn't even try to be funny, how the frick do you make a porn game about hitler and take yourself seriously. The dialog had that cringe everyone is trying to be badass and snarky style of writing emblematic of a tween who loved sonic powerscaleing fan fiction 2 weeks ago but is totally so much cooler than that now.

Can't accuse the art of being ai, even when ai didn't know how many fingers were on a human hand it didn't produce shit like this.

Anyways I bought the game to stick it to shlomo for bitching at steam and I don't regret it.
