US Vice President JD Vance has warned Europe not to adopt "overly precautionary" regulations on artificial intelligence as the US and the UK refused to join dozens of other countries in signing a declaration to ensure that the technology is "safe, secure and trustworthy."

The two countries held back from signing the communique agreed by about 60 countries at the AI Action summit in Paris on Tuesday as Vance vowed that the US would remain the dominant force in the technology.

"The Trump administration will ensure that the most powerful AI systems are built in the US, with American-designed and manufactured chips," Vance told an audience of world leaders and tech executives at the summit.

"America wants to partner with all of you... but to create that kind of trust, we need international regulatory regimes that foster the creation of AI technology rather than strangle it."

The summit declaration calls for "ensuring AI is open, inclusive, transparent, ethical, safe, secure and trustworthy, taking into account international frameworks for all."

There's a bunch of private security forces hanging out around the building where our office is located, and guarding the Workforce office (where government officials try to get peeps work based on whatever meagre qualifications they have; one of the few decently useful organizations to the public)

The reason: because fricking they received massive threats on facebook from unions, for not hiring peeps part of that union. Despite the fact that Workforce comes on a 1st arrived, 1st served principle and towards relevant qualifications (like actually having finished Matics; which is why so many peeps were rejected )

Additionally, the reason why peeps are taking random Facebook threats seriously, is because for the last 3 years, countrywide, lots of taxi Union-mafias have issued threats to schools via facebook, after schools in black districts (which are poor and therefore carless) for not hiring THEIR specific fricking taxi companies/union

Let me explain: many taxis usually have like a route they follow which is economically viable - but often a school lays outside their routes from residence zones to the business-districts where peeps have their jobs, so schools often hire taxi-fleets/companies, to specifically wait outside schools after school-closing hours, that the kids may have ways home

Or additionally the schools barter for a flat monthly contract wage, so that the school kids ride for free, and this contract is paid from the school yearly fees or whatever. This is cheaper and more worthwhile for both parties on large scale, and in massed minibus-taxis, rather than one taxi going outside its way for just a few kids, thus having to ask very high fee for those kids. so again beneficial for both parties involved.

The taxi-mafia-unions want in on these types of contracts, because it's stable reliable work, but even black safrican peeps actually love their kids, so often only the most reliable taxi-companies are hired by schools over time, or at least the taxis which drive the least like hooligans, and put kids at risk lol

Basically taxi-unions force or try to force schools black dominant schools to hire THEIR companies, even after the school-Master had told them no, and for many schools these past 3 years had been threatened by Facebook! And then fricking put their actions to validity, after their threats11!!

The minibus taxi associations appear to be demanding that we allocate transport contracts to them without following tender processes, which we cannot and will not do. It is simply illegal.

Canada, as it turns out, isn't broken. That was the message coming out of Pierre Poilievre's big rebrand rally, where he tried to reposition himself as a champion of Canada's virtues rather than just another critic of its failures. And while Liberal partisans will look skeptically on this attempted political metamorphosis, the biggest doubters might actually be some of his erstwhile fans: the freedom convoy.

Right out of the gate it clearly is a hit piece on Pierre.

Check the social media accounts of any prominent convoy participant, whether it's Tamara Lich, Pat King, or their dedicated transcriptionists in the alt-press, and their sympathy for Donald Trump and antipathy towards Canada becomes immediately apparent. "Your sudden, newfound, fake patriotism is truly indicative of how stupid you think we are," Lich said. "The entitlement of certain Canadians is humorous," fellow organizer Chris Barber wrote. I don't know who else to tell about this but I feel the need to tell someone. For reference I'm a 25 year old guy who hasn't shit himself since he was a kid. Anyway I got up this morning as usual, left the house to go to work and as I was approaching the train I felt the sudden urge to shit. I searched around for a cafe or something with a bathroom I could use but couldn't find anything. It happened in that moment of complete defeat. For a split second I thought I was farting, but no. Naturally I ran home as fast as I could, trying to hold my pants up as much as I could for fear of the shit (diarrhea) dripping further down my legs, and washed up, washed as much off of my butt, pants, thermal underwear, underwear and sweatpants I was wearing under my regular pants to protect myself from this horrible NYC cold. I texted my boss saying I "had a problem at home" and was gonna be about 45 min late. I put all my dirty clothes in a trash bag and will do laundry when I get home tonight.

I kinda need help coming up with an excuse for being late. I don't really know what to say and I do not want to tell them what actually happened.

Six months ago I wrote about Redditor /u/itsbarbieparis in [BARELY DRAMA] There's a really annoying disabled /r/waltdisneyworld trip reviewer who visits the parks several times a month and complains about everything.

She has POTS (likely a mental disease):

i have pots and have syndromes that make my joints prone to pain and injury and use my "at home chair" locked into place. i can stand just not much. i use an electric wheelchair for most public outings

She lives near Disney World and visits often. For some reason she likes to constantly complain about her trips for ways that she deems Disney haven't looked after her disabilities. These reasons are always spurious at best. As we covered in the last post, reasons include:

• Park photographers not including her wheelchair in some pictures

• Complaining about the gluten-free food options

She's an interesting character - she goes by they/them even though she's got a male partner and child (who she of course calls kiddo), she collect Carebears unironically in 2025, she loves to talk about her various undiagnosable ailments and her service dog is absolutely not a real service dog:

Evidence about child's picky eating helps convince immigration tribunal that being forced to leave UK would be unduly harsh

An Albanian criminal was allowed to stay in Britain partly because his son will not eat foreign chicken nuggets, The Telegraph can reveal.

An immigration tribunal ruled that it would be "unduly harsh" for the 10-year-old boy to be forced to move to Albania with his father owing to his sensitivity around food.

The sole example provided to the court was his distaste for the "type of chicken nuggets that are available abroad".

As a result, the judge allowed the father's appeal against deportation as a breach of his right to a family life under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), citing the impact his removal might have on his son.

The case, revealed in court documents, is among a record 34,169 outstanding asylum appeals. The number represents a five-fold increase in two years from the 6,386 appeals outstanding at the same point in 2022.

The legal challenges, largely on human rights grounds, threaten to hold up Labour's efforts to fast-track the removal of thousands of migrants with no right to remain in the UK.

They also risk undermining the Government's efforts to appear tough on immigration in the face of the rise of Reform.

The revelations come as the Government launches a campaign to counter claims that Britain is a soft touch for migrants by announcing the results of a blitz on illegal working.

Data to be published on Monday show there were 609 arrests last month for illegal working, 73 per cent up on January 2024, and a 48 per cent rise in raids from 556 to 828.

The Home Office will also publish pictures and videos of migrants being deported from the UK and forcibly placed on planes.

It comes as both Labour and Tories are trying to head off the electoral threat from Nigel Farage's Reform UK, whose hardline "freeze" on non-essential immigration and turn back the boats plan has helped his party overtake both Tories and Labour and top the latest opinion polls.

Commenting on the chicken nuggets case, Robert Jenrick, the shadow justice secretary, said it was "mind-boggling" that food was being used as an argument to prevent deportation.

"It's ludicrous that a judge would entertain it. Cases like this make us a laughing stock.

"It's an insult to the British public that our immigration laws are being abused in such an outrageous way," he said.

Chris Philp, shadow home secretary, said: "This case shows how bogus asylum seekers and foreign criminals are ruthlessly exploiting human rights laws and weak judges to stay in the UK when common sense clearly shows they should be kicked out."

A Home Office spokesman said: "Foreign nationals who commit heinous crimes should be in no doubt that we will do everything to make sure they are not free on Britain's streets, including removal from the UK at the earliest possible opportunity.

"Since the election, we've removed 2,580 foreign criminals, a 23 per cent increase on the same period 12 months prior."

Sir Keir Starmer and his Attorney General have said that they will not withdraw from the ECHR and that the Government is committed to upholding the rule of international law.

Albanian Klevis Disha, 39, came to the UK illegally in February 2001 as a 15-year-old unaccompanied child. He used a false name and falsely claimed to have been born in the former Yugoslavia.

Although his asylum claim was rejected, he secured UK citizenship in 2007 after being granted exceptional leave to remain, and then indefinite leave to remain.

He met his partner, another Albanian who had gained UK citizenship, in 2006, with whom he had two daughters and a son.

However, in September 2017, he was jailed for two years after being caught with £250,000 cash, known to be the proceeds of crime.

Dame Priti Patel, then home secretary, ordered he should be deported to Albania and stripped of his UK citizenship as it had been acquired through deception.

Disha appealed and was backed by a judge at a lower-tier immigration tribunal. The judge ruled that it would be "unduly harsh" for his 10-year-old son -- known only as C -- to remain in the UK and be separated from his father, or to be forced to go with him to Albania.

The case centred on C's "additional" needs, which were supported only by evidence from a trainee educational psychologist for whom, the court noted, no CV had been supplied, as well as evidence from a neighbour and a family friend.

The court was told there was no formal diagnosis of special educational needs for the boy, but he did have an educational plan to deal with his "emotional regulation, independence; reading and writing."

Child has difficulties with socks

Disha's lawyers said that the needs of C, whose first language was Albanian, also included "sensory difficulties" with some clothing, such as socks in particular, and certain types of food which meant he would seize up and "refuse to do anything."

Disha's appeal was granted. However, a judge in the upper tribunal disagreed with the assessment that his additional needs could not be met if he was returned to Albania.

The judge, David Merrigan, said the only example of why the boy could not go to Albania was that he "will not eat the type of chicken nuggets that are available abroad".

"We are not persuaded that the addition of this sole example approaches anywhere near the level of harshness for a reasonable judge to find it to be 'unduly' so," he said.

He remitted the case to be reheard by a different judge in a lower tribunal to decide the "sole issue" of whether the consequences of deportation would be unduly harsh on the 10-year-old boy. The case is ongoing.

Women with my particular issue sometimes struggle to find their one and only. I gave up this endeavor before even starting, doomed to a life of ao3 scrolling and liveleak watching. I've actually known him for more than a year, and you wouldn't believe where we met. Our relationship is something straight out of a Shoujo romance... If you've ever read Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai you know what I'm talking about. He's like a beautiful flower I found and keep locked in my garden, of course I ensure he's well taken care of. He wants for practically nothing with me, and I truly believe that he'll never need another person in his entire life ever again.

They warned him about me. Some people fear me, but I know it's because of the demonic presence that have taken up residence in their souls. I have the cunning ability to expel these demonic spirits. I always carry a pocket knife in my bra, for safety and utility reasons, and I honestly just couldn't help myself. He was in a deep sleep, but not even snoring or drooling. Perfectly laying on his back, soft hair tumbling over his forehead in an angelic fashion. The temptation to bite him until I drew blood was overwhelming but even better ideas flooded my mind.

Slowly, I knelt over the bed, careful not to wake my perfect sleeping flower. My movements were as delayed as they were precise- can't frick this perfect opportunity up. The knife was removed from my bra and I flicked it open with a singular, smooth motion. He doesn't even notice the sound of a pocket knife flipping open inches from his face while he's sleeping (can you imagine how lucky I am?) I quietly warm the blade up to body temperature by pressing it against my forearm, enjoying the view from beneath me. Like I've been possessed, the tiny but deadly sharp blade is moved up to his neck. At this point, I'm not even myself anymore- someone completely different. An "out of body experience" would be a massive understatement. My flower isn't awoken by the blade at it's vulnerable stem, the control is all mine- so is he. 'Is he having a nice dream?' I wonder. This control is intoxicating. After withdrawing my pocket knife from his neck, I take this opportunity to check his driver's license for valuable information on him. It's always good to know more about those you love.

Anyways, I think that despite my many faults, I've really found the one for me. He's perfect in every way and I will never let him go. Do other girls with BPD struggle finding long-term romantic partners? It would be nice to talk about this issue with some other BPD sisters :)
