honestly it's kinda mindblowing hearing stories about japanese teenagers like, ages 12~14 just. quitting school, leaving home, and just traveling the country following their favourite bands, being supported by their online friends and other people in the community, and just spending their time faking their age hanging out at bars and adult clubs that they aren't supposed to be at. cause it's like. from an american perspective the immediate reaction is "holy shit how are these kids not in serious peril" but then it's like.
