Background
Chris Watts (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watts_family_murders) is a family annihilator who murdered his pregnant wife Shannan and two young children 2018. They were a striving middle class family in a mcmansion, with Shannan being a a stay at home mother/MLM scammer/influencer, and Chris earning relatively large sums on the oil fields. They had no recorded domestic violence history, no real criminal history, and were famously white attractive. Case got a lot of attention because the police released a lot of information, including bodycam footage of the moment Chris is confronted with evidence that his wife couldn't have run away with the kids in the way he claimed. After a day or two of telling the media he misses his disappeared family, he confesses to the crime and hundreds of hours of true crime content is born. He gets fan mail from crazies in jail to this day.
The defenders
Who would defend such a man, you ask? To answer that, we have to understand the volumous internet presence Shannan had on social media up until her murder. She posted several times a day, including livestreams, in order to shill her MLM product and present a curated picture of her 'perfect' life. These posts and streams are a morbid curiosity to people because Chris featured often, and people say you can tell he seems disinterested and disengaged even back then (to me he just seems like a guy bored by his wife's incessesant posting and filming, tbh).
Here is a compilation of relevant social media videos from Shannan to give a sense of her tone online:
Because of how widespread this is, it's near impossible to gaze upon any discussion of the topic without noticing how many people seem focussed on how unlikeable Shannan is, how hard Chris must have had it. At least until recently, reddit had snark-style subs dedicated to pooping on Shannan's online presence (which seems like a dead end considering there is only so much content she will ever produce). Shannan's personality on social media is so fundarnetally annoying and unlikeable, apparently, that hordes of people are more compelled by that than the cold blooded triple murder by her husband.
From the comments of the video above:
(this refers to the fact that Shannan's loved ones got police involved mere hours after her middle-of-the-night murder simply because she hadn't yet posted an obnoxious video or livestream on FB that day lol)
And so on. This isn't even one half of it. And these comments are about a woman who was violently killed by her husband while she slept.
Anyway, Reddit somehow has allowed a large community of Shannan Watts (murder victim) snark subs to thrive. Some key posts:
https://old.reddit.com/r/WattsFree4All/comments/16zkuoe/shannon_watts_and_the_ridiculous_shirts/
In this post, redditors mock her for tacky t-shirts and clothes she put on the children (before their murder)
https://old.reddit.com/r/WattsFree4All/comments/1g1s63h/lupus_shmupus/
In this post, Shannan is mocked for at one point saying she might have lupus but posting things on facebook that indicate she may not have lupus.
https://old.reddit.com/r/WattsFree4All/comments/1cigxc2/having_no_balls/
Redditors theorise to what extent did Shannan emasculate Chris, prior to her murder.
https://old.reddit.com/r/WattsFree4All/comments/16t49mb/i_thought_it_was_just_me/
A redditor rejoices at finding a sub of like-minded people who, like them, also hate the murder victim:
Lmao OP saw the coverage "woman and her two kids murdered in cold blood" and really laser focussed in how irritating the victim was.
Anyway, you can explore the sub yourself - search by top posts for most dramatic and angry redditors.
The point
I never promised I had a point. I suppose I find this drama-worthy because it's truly fascinating to me that this woman was apparently so annoying, and hit on so many of reddit's sore spots (fake disroder cringe, influence life) that it overrode the normal reddit instinct to find a female victim of her husband murdering her and her kids sympathetic. To be clear, none of these people met Shannan while she was alive or even saw her posts prior to her death. They have created an image of her post-mortem they find so infuriating they are posting about it six years later. Majority of the reddit users are women, which further excludes inceldom as a
primary motivator.
I, for one, strive to be such an annoying person that my eventual death by murder is the least interesting thing about me.
Happy hannukah!

[Started as a reply to some zoomer saying something stupid and spiraled out of control.]
Kennedy and his brother were really into telling the CIA to assassinate people overseas and do that kind of covert action in a dirty way. Everything you think is bad about glowies is probably something they ordered. Which makes it especially hilarious when tards claim that he, the least likely person on a planet of 3 billion people, was shot by the CIA because he didn't want them to assassinate people.
LBJ is responsible for getting us into Vietnam in the stupidest way possible, where it's treated as a crisis in the daily news cycle, not a war we're trying to win. And yet he keeps reinforcing failure, sending more and more guys there, dropping more and more bombs, killing more and more civilians. Drip by drip, make sure we're defeated in detail. Because we're not trying to win, we're just "sending a message" to them. Sorry b-word, but the guys fighting there, the Americans, the ARVN guys, the civilians, the NVA guys, they deserved to have more with their life than "sending a message" for him. The response from Hanoi was always "no frick off, we're trying to actually win the war." And LBJ was like an neurodivergent male feminist redditor hoping that maybe if he fed more guys into the meat grinder that she'd reply.
All this for a war that he doesn't believe we can win. And every time any adult points out that we might win if we go into Laos, he pisses his pants and says that's too scary for him. There's gotta be at least half a million people killed because of his moral cowardice. Sending the guys there with zero plan at all of what that they were doing except killing and dying to "send a message".
I still see r-slurred children today saying that "Henry Kissinger was a war criminal" because that was some hippie mantra. WTF does it even mean? I think originally it was trying to deflect blame from Pol Pot onto him or something. I guarantee you none of these tards know what it even was supposed to mean.
I never hear any kid today point out that we could have avoided this huge war and all the people killed on both sides and between them if Johnson had made literally any other decision. Either get out or go big and invade North Vietnam. He was too much of a kitty for the former because it would mean admitting a mistake. The latter would be risky but probably would be like 100,000 killed instead of the millions killed in the war and the genocide in Cambodia, and the next genocide in Cambodia when the Vietnamese did it. But he was too much of a kitty for that too.
The last one is ironic (Ed: BECAUSE IT'S THE OPPOSITE, IT'S A REPUBLICAN GETTING BLAMED FOR STUFF A DEMOCRAT DID): Reagan catches all this shit for sending weapons to Afghanistan and El Salvador. You know who started that, dumbass? Jimmy Carter. The Soviets decided to throw away detente, the attempt to lessen tensions between the superpowers in the 1970s, and just go back to full Stalinist map-painting mode like they're playing goddarn Hearts of Iron. Starting huge wars in Angola, Ethiopia, Nicaragua/El Salvador, invading Afghanistan, keeping their satellites going with Vietnam constantly fighting somebody. Those weapons weren't sent because Reagan, the actor who gets his face painted for his job, was more masculine than Carter, the nuclear submarine guy. It's because the Soviets started chimping out and you had to respond. But now leftoid kids think this was a bad thing so they assign blame for it to Reagan instead of Carter.

This is going to be a post where the one guy from New Mexico on rDrama gets really mad, like when Texas people get pissy because you added some kidney beans to your chili or whatever. Hey hypothetical future New Mexico angry guy, it's all good, you should be mad. I am literally raping your culture on purpose.
This post is about making something that's relevant to the state of New Mexico where they venerate a specific type of non-spicy pepper called the Hatch Green Chile. New Mexicans have made this product a point of cultural pride for their state and have done a pretty good job of exporting it all over the country during the brief window they're harvested (late August through part of September if you're looking for some). Now I said "non-spicy" but nowadays clever growers have created new varieties that are pretty spicy, although not much more so than a Jalapeno or something similar. If you want your green chile stew to be spicy, you can either look for those hot varieties, or just add some other peppers for heat. Personally, I don't like using the spicy Hatch peppers in this recipe because you need to add a LOT of peppers (like 30 or 40) which can get INSANE if you use the really spicy ones. It's up to you and your colon, though.
If you buy fresh peppers during the harvesting season, the grocery stores will roast them for you on site. Whole Foods likes to do this in some places. Otherwise, somebody in your town will probably get on the bandwagon. They bring a big roaster out in front of the store and sell the peppers by the pound. You'll probably need in the area of 1 - 2 pounds of peppers to make this recipe. If you go nuts for these things and buy a whole 25 pound case, make sure you have a vacuum sealer and a big freezer because these will not stay good in your fridge for more than a week. They're very wet after roasting, so you can only imagine how fast they're going to grow mold.
On to the stew. This recipe is dead simple to make. It's all just prep work. Hope you enjoy cutting things. You'll need:
1 to 2 pounds of pork shoulder, cut into 1 inch cubes (actual size of the cubes is up to what you like to eat, but if you make them too big you'll have to cook everything longer)
1 to 2 pounds of green chiles (I didn't weigh them or count them when I made this last night, but it looked like there were 25 - 35 peppers)
A big russet potato or a couple red potatoes
2 big carrots (not traditional, but my favorite version of this had them so I use them too)
A big white onion
Lots of garlic
Chicken or beef stock
Onion powder, cumin, oregano, black pepper
MSG in the form of Sazon Goya (totally optional)
Plenty of salt
First, you need to process the chiles before cooking them. You need to chop off the seed pod that's on one end and scrape the skins off. The skins aren't exactly inedible, but they have a bad texture that will make you look like an idiot in front of your guests while they try to pretend they don't hate you and your lousy dinner. You don't need to be careful about removing all the seeds, they really won't hurt anything, you just want to remove the seed pod because it's hard as a rock.
You could scrape the skins off the peppers using a fork or a butter knife, but I suggest you use the back of your relatively new, extremely sharp chef's knife. That way, you can talk on the phone with a friend while you're doing it, get distracted while turning the knife over in your hand again and again (using the sharp side to cut out the seed pod and the dull side to scrape, naturally) and then nearly cut the end of your index finger off when you grab and squeeze the sharp side of your knife.
Once you get back from the emergency room, start by browning then removing the pork cubes, then saute the onions, garlic, and chiles a little with the dried spices, before adding back the meat, potatoes, stock and everything else. Cook for about 2 hours (45 min covered and the rest uncovered). If you want to cook longer, don't add the potatoes right away or they'll turn to mush. Add the MSG right at the end or it will lose some of its potency.
Real New Mexican recipes I found online don't have carrots, but the first place I ever had this stuff at was in Provo, Utah (Black Sheep Cafe) and it was so good that I have always tried to imitate it.

saw a screenie of the original post from two years ago and had to see if it was real
mildly entertaining
Anyone else try to show nearby black people that they're listening to Kendrick Lamar?
Today i was on standing the train, listening to the new album and i noticed that there was a black guy standing behind me.
I wanted to show him that i'm not racist and am in fact all for black rights, so i opened spotify, put brightness on max and held my phone up (discretely) so he could see me jamming it to the ๐.
On the train ride back there was a black man sitting across from me so i did one better. I chucked on To Pimp a Butterfly, held my phone flat so he could see it and gave him a small nod.
I like to believe that i'm on the right side of history. I feel like they probably respected me for that.
Anyone else do this?
Comment section is mostly Shoah'd. Can't tell if bait or r-slurred.

It all seems to add up to something big. On a daily, sometimes hourly, basis, Elon Musk claims that his team of fiscal commandos has found yet more government fraud, terminated another wasteful contract or even scrapped an entire agency. Mr Musk's supporters believe that, through tech wizardry and sheer willpower, he is slashing the federal deficit in a way that has eluded politicians for years. But this narrative has a glaring flaw: our review of official data shows that Mr Musk's efforts have scarcely made a dent in spending.
Every working day the Treasury publishes a statement detailing withdrawals of cash from its primary deposit account, providing the best high-frequency indicator of government spending. Since Donald Trump took office a little more than three weeks ago, outlays have averaged $30bn a day. Compare that with the same period last year under Joe Biden: federal spending back then came to about $26bn a day. Outflows from the Treasury have actually risen since January 28th, when Mr Musk first claimed his "Department of Government Efficiency", or DOGE, was saving the federal government $1bn a day. Looking at the bigger picture, the government's spending trajectory in the current fiscal year, which began in October, basically resembles that of the past two years.

SINGAPORE: An 18-year-old Singaporean student who identified as an "East Asian supremacist" and was radicalised by violent far-right extremist ideologies has been detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA).
Nick Lee Xing Qiu, who is of Chinese ethnicity, had aspired to conduct attacks against Malays and Muslims in Singapore. He believed that the Chinese, Korean and Japanese ethnicities were superior, the Internal Security Department (ISD) said on Monday (Feb 10).
Lee was issued with a detention order in December last year. He is the third Singaporean youth with far-right extremist ideologies to be dealt with under the ISA.
The first case involved a then 16-year-old detained in December 2020 for planning machete attacks on mosques. The second case also involved a 16-year-old who was issued with a restriction order in November 2023 after authorities found that he identified as a white supremacist and aspired to conduct attacks overseas.
ISD also announced on Monday that a Singaporean housewife who was radicalised after the Israel-Hamas conflict has been put under ISA restrictions. A Malaysian man, who worked as a cleaner in Singapore, was repatriated for supporting Islamic State.
SELF-RADICALISATION PROCESS
Lee first started developing hostility towards Muslims in early 2023 after encountering Islamophobic and far-right content on social media. He spent several hours a day searching for and consuming extremist online content, according to ISD.
In June 2023, Lee searched for the livestream video footage of far-right terrorist Brenton Tarrant's attacks against Muslims in Christchurch, New Zealand, on Mar 15, 2019.
He watched the footage repeatedly and came to idolise Tarrant. He then downloaded video game modifications and role-played as Tarrant killing Muslims at the Al Noor Mosque in Christchurch.
By early 2024, Lee's radicalisation deepened and he had developed a strong enmity towards Malays and Muslims, as well as other ethnicities traditionally targeted by far-right extremists including Jews, Mexicans, African Americans and Indians.
"He was also supportive of white supremacy because he felt that Islam was a threat to white culture," ISD said.
He had come across ethno-supremacist ideas that made him believe that Chinese, Korean and Japanese were superior ethnicities, resonating with them given his Chinese ethnicity and antipathy towards Muslims.
In September 2024, Lee got a tattoo on his right elbow of a sonnenrad, a symbol that was seen in Tarrant's manifesto and on his rucksack during the Christchurch attack. He also purchased T-shirts with custom printings of symbols associated with neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other far-right groups.
ENVISIONED STARTING A "RACE WAR"
Lee aspired to carry out attacks against Muslims in Singapore with other far-right individuals that he spoke to online. Although he claimed that he was too afraid to conduct an attack alone, he admitted he would have participated in attacks together with those he met online.
"His attack aspirations included conducting a Tarrant-style attack on Muslims at a mosque in Singapore using homemade guns, knives and Molotov cocktails," ISD said.
Lee had hoped to livestream the attack online, dedicating it to Tarrant.
He also thought about throwing Molotov cocktails at his Malay-Muslim neighbours during a religious holiday to maximise casualties. But apart from enquiring online on how to make a Molotov cocktail, he took no further preparations towards this.
The ISD also said Lee was deeply convinced by the Great Replacement Theory, which claims that white populations in the West are in danger of being replaced by non-white immigrants.
He believed that violence was necessary to prevent the Chinese majority in Singapore from being displaced by what he perceived to be a rapidly growing Malay population.
Lee envisioned starting a "race war" between Chinese and Malays in Singapore, by creating anti-Malay and anti-Muslim propaganda to post online, hoping to create animosity between the two races.
He started a social media account in late 2024 to instigate others to conduct attacks against Malays and Muslims. This account was used to repost far-right extremist videos, and he uploaded about 20 self-made videos glorifying far-right terrorists and containing anti-Malay and anti-Muslim rhetoric.
Lee's family, teachers and schoolmates were unaware of his radicalisation and there is no indication that he tried to influence them with his violent extremist views, ISD said. His attack plans were aspirational with no set timeline and investigations into his online contacts have found no imminent threat to Singapore.
"Far-right extremism is a growing security concern globally, and Singapore has not been immune to this threat," ISD said.
Although the movement is often associated with white supremacy, its broader messages of ethno-religious chauvinism, racism and xenophobia can appeal to non-whites.
"ISD will take firm action against any individual in Singapore who supports, promotes, undertakes or makes preparations to undertake armed violence, regardless of how they rationalise such violence ideologically or where the violence takes place," it said.
