We do not shoot cats, we don't poison cats, we don't have coyotes patrolling the area. I see a cat plastered on the road literally every single week. I literally only travel the same roads (2 miles) ever. So this one single path has around 30-60 dead cats a year. I had an outdoor cat get killed right in front of my house as a child by a car at night. The cats fight each other, they are killed by cars, diseases, etc. I'm not sure how old the outdoor cats live because usually one day they're just gone, don't really have any bodies to find. The statistics tell the same story, so for every 15 yo outdoor cat you know, I know 50 dead young cats on the street.
