In Madiba's modern rainbow nation there is a lot of intra-racism between the various races, and often it is forgotten how non-black-vs-white racism is still prevalent, and thus when such altercations does rear its head, the fireworks
starts to fly, like it did this Christmas holidays.
During a FlySafair (an air passenger company which started in 2014) flight during 26 December, from the city of Durban to Cape Town, a black woman had a massive altercation with air hostesses, which was recorded on cellphones by other passengers.
The flight crew onboard a FlySafair flight didn't want to serve her more alcohol, in response she physically assaulted the air hostess and verbally abused passengers and the flight crew. Nobuntu "Nobs" Mkhize was then arrested for being unruly, once the airplane landed.
Now this happens about once every 6 months, but what made this particular incident riling up the Coloured population was what was specifically said by the black woman, to the Coloured flight attendant during the recorded altercation: "You're a coloured from Mitchells Plain, all these gold rings but no degree. Right now when we land, I'm going to take an Uber home. You don't even have a [driver's] licence. You don't even have a car."
Combined with the fact that she was an arrogant high level SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation) employee, throwing her weight and position around, like typical ANC high level arrogant members, this really rustled the jimmies of our coloured population!!
====(from timeslive)
In several videos that have gone viral on social media, the woman is seen in a heated altercation with flight attendants who are trying to calm her down.
In one of the widely circulated videos, she is heard allegedly making racially-sensitive remarks against the coloured community.
"You're a coloured from Mitchells Plain, all these gold rings but no degree. Right now when we land, I'm going to take an Uber home. You don't even have a [driver's] licence. You don't even have a car."
The SABC released a statement on Saturday acknowledging the woman was an employee and condemning her actions.
"The South African Broadcasting Corporation has noted with concern audiovisual material circulating on various social media platforms featuring a staff member travelling on a South African airline."
The woman also allegedly threatened to get the airline employees fired and the incident broadcast on SABC news channels.
====(end quote)
Now during her drunken spat, the Mkhize said a shitload of racist stuff, including coloured women are only good for "spreading their legs"
Thus the DA intended to take her to the SAHRC (South African Human Rights Commission) for racism.
"Mkhize, who is reportedly the brand manager from SABC, caused a stir when videos taken aboard a FlySafair flight to Cape Town went viral on social media as she was filmed labelling women from Mitchell's Plain as uneducated and unable to drive or own motor vehicles."
This incident went so viral, that even the Patriotic Alliance ( the new ethno-nationalist party for Coloureds in Safrica, which was created last year during June 2024's election) submitted a complaint to the SAHRC (South African Human Rights Commission), to have her jailed.
Also completely fricking hilarious for me in this incident, was this one interview for the Deputy President for the Patriotic Alliance, who appears to me to be a Xhosa/Zulu dude, and lmoa this guy is fricking thirsty for coloured chicks, the way @Sneedman is for Holly
I don't know if the guy is 1st generation coloured, or if he was just raised in a Xhosa upbringing but he speaks in a total Xhosa accent.
During the interview he says "a beautiful Coloured Lady" which is so bizarre cuz it had zero bearing with the situation lmoa
Anyways comments sneed.
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=925489679785507&id=100069734502518
For further context, in the past 2 decades there had been friction between Coloureds and mainstream ANC black peeps, for many reasons, but primarily due to BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) policies which promoted and gave preferential treatment of black peeps over coloureds in government positions or tenders, in a country with 25% unemployment this causes lots of friction. Whilst many whites are in the very least middle class, most coloureds are not, and thus this government mandated affirmative discrimination, which can only exist in which one racial group vastly outnumbers the others, have actively screwed over coloured populations, which in turn voted overwhelmingly DA for the past 25 years, and since the Western Cape the province of Cape Town, is dominated by the Bong and Coloured demographic, they have remained an island of DA, instead of ANC
Other sources of friction between coloureds, and especially ultra pro-ANC black peeps, have manifested itself when previously poor black women especially have lorded their power and status over coloureds. It must be understood, that while ultimate political, demographic and social power had transferred between whites to black peeps since democratization, coloureds have remained relatively as poor and 2nd class via sheer economic momentum in the Western Cape/Cape Town, and have not been enfranchised as drastically as their black peers, who they feel have excluded them deliberately through tribal wingcuckery.
A common theme is that coloureds feel they were too brown for the Union apartheid days, and now too light skinned for the ANC, so a powerful & influential black woman, lording her SABC job over an air hostess, a relatively meagre job, REALLY reinforces that salt in the wound of modern Coloured-VS-Black relationship in modern
Also of other hilarious note, is during the video of the altercation, the drunk woman, Nobuntu threw coke at the hostesses and other passengers trying to detain her in her drunken unruliness (cuz it was during a fricking plane flight mid-air), and this coke throwing is being sighted as ASSUALT by many publications and reports, which i find fricking hilarious!
OMG this racist b-word threw coke at me, this is assault ASSAULT!
Here's a chud-adjacent safrican griftoid commenter, making a massive mountain out of a molehill of the event
Interviews of DA coloured officials, and basically everybody is super upset.
"This Nobuntu must be arrested because what she did in that plane was pure terrorism. Imagine people fighting right inside the plane ." Lmoa
"As a white south african i am absolutely appalled at this element of racism that still exists in our country. Shocking"
"Me too😢" HAHAHAHAHA
"This is another clear demonstration how money, education and political privilege don't equate to intellect, etiquette even humanity. This coming from an whole brand manager! How tacky indeed.🚮🚮🤮"
"You can take them out of the bush but you can't take the bush out of them." random Boer boeing along
And Uh, the IRL plane jannies perma-banned her from flying on the FlySafair airline.
And uh that's about it. ANC spokesmen condemned her, and lots of peeps were typing very angery comments on Facebook.
Meanwhile my dad was like: "as long as they are
each other, they'll leave us alone for a bit" lol

i'm at my big firm corporate girlboss job and one of my coworkers said something about grad school - i missed a deadline last month, guess that's a sore spot for me - and i just started crying. tried to hold it in but all i managed were tears silently sliding down my face. had to slip out after a minute when it didn't stop.
literally been slinking around the office and hiding in the bathroom for an hour trying to stop crying. once, i thought i was in the clear, but when i put my hand on the doorknob to the meeting room it started up again.
i'm so annoyed because i'm a totally competent person otherwise. i'm not even really ""emotional"", like i stay pretty girlboss professional eloquent deadpan all the time - which makes it even worse when i turn into a blubbery red-eyed swollen-faced mess.
all my life i've been someone who cries at the drop of a hat - in elementary school, during ballet class, at parties, etc etc. one of my exes would get so mad at me when i cried and accuse me of doing it to derail whatever stupid fight we were having and make him feel bad. i kept swearing i wasn't doing it on purpose and i tried my best not to cry but he never believed me. i do try!! i hate crying. it's embarrassing and it's a waste of my time. i'm missing an important meeting right now :( i have to go collect my laptop that's been sitting there abandoned. what do i even say? nothing? say my tummy was upset?
Good lord this woman is a MESS. Someone casually mentioned grad school and it caused her to cry for the rest of the fricking day.

No it's not about ketamine.
Introduction
In the west, Kpop is typically derided. Oftentimes this is because it is creatively bankrupt and consists of cookie cutter songs and artists. Other times it is hated for the immaturity/insanity of its western fan base (teenage girls, trannies, and neets.) Still more people hate it because of the oppressive nature of its industry. Whatever your reason, it is clear that kpop is slop. Goyslop, if you will. However, it is Goyslop of the highest order. Made to be agreeable to the largest audience possible's most base instincts. This combined with the nature of the industry (more on this later), means that it is ripe for drama; and yet I very rarely see kpop drama on this site.
Typical kpop fans
Now I don't like Kpop, but the drama potential of kpop became apparent to me a few weeks ago when I stumbled upon the news of Newjeans trying to cancel their contract. I spent 3 days gorging myself upon the news and it's associated buildup. To be frank with you, I became addicted to kpop. Not the music of course, but the drama surrounding it. I had a desire to post about Newjeans and share that delicious drama with you all; However there was a massive amount of background information to sift through and organize. I realized the full deets would require a series, and when I realized that, well, I started seeing DC in my eyes.
However, I am lazy. I don't want start a full series if it won't pay off, so I figured I would create a prototype, a pilot episode if you will. If you all enjoy this post, and I get my goombling funds, then I'll begin work on the Newjeans saga in earnest (with a few filler episodes thrown in, of course)
First off, a few warnings and disclaimers:
1. A lot of kpop groups have minors in them. I will be posting images and videos of various kpop groups throughout this series. If you see next to an image or video, that means it contains someone who is CURRENTLY a minor. You have been warned.
2. Kpop sucks from a musical standpoint, but it has ear worms. I will link to songs, concert performances, and music videos as part of this series, but I would avoid listening to the music if possible. Otherwise you'll end up like me and have Crazy by Le Sserafim stuck in your head for two weeks, a fate worse than death. Songs that I think are a big risk for this will be marked with a next to the link.
An example of these two points:
(Pictured above: 5 Korean shaman perform a sissification ritual on their unsuspecting male audience)
(The shaman's evil chant)
3. As I said earlier, I just started my research about a month ago, so I'm very likely to get things wrong. This will be compounded by the fact that the really juicy shit is found on Korean sites and forums, so I will either use Google translate, or the translation of random freaks on the internet. if I do get something wrong, don't worry, it's working as intended
Without further adieu,..
...Let us go down...
... The K-hole
The Drama
If you've made it this far and know anything about kpop, I'm sure you're wondering why I used an image of Twice. It's because they tangentially relate to this story. How? Well to understand that you need to know who/what JYP is.
Background
Jin-Young Park
JYP stands for Jin-Young Park, a South Korean singer who rose to prominence in the 1990's and parlayed his success into his own media conglomerate, which he humbly named JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYPE). JYPE is one of the 4 major companies that dominate the South Korean music industry. Their most successful artists are Twice, Itzy, and NMIXX (no not the sex cult).
For years JYPE has tried to break into the American market, with only middling success. Their most recent attempt was actually about a week and a half ago when Twice released a comeback that featured Megan THEE Stallion on the title track. One of their recent schemes has been to launch Kpop style American groups under a brand new division, JYP USA.
Strategy - Twice feat. Megan Thee Stallion
Now something you need to understand about the kpop industry is that in a weird way, it's almost like professional sports, having the following things in common.
1. Opportunities and success are largely based on God given talent. (If you're not a slim rice foid who can dance/sing/rap better than everyone else you don't have a shot.)
2. The window of opportunity is very slim, If you don't make it big by 30 you probably never will.
3. At the highest levels, there is a LOT of money at stake. (For example, the exclusive contract Newjeans is trying to get out of likely has a penalty of $200-400 million.)
For these reasons, kpop idols go through a sort of training period before they actually are put into a group and debuted. The idols essentially drop out of school and join a training program, where they learn how to sing, dance, rap, and be charming in front of a camera. Just like young athletes and their coaches trying to make it big, these schools have a very "whatever needs to be done attitude" to training, with horror stories abounding. This is considered standard practice in the industry, meaning that almost every kpop groups you see was carefully planned out years in advance.
JYP USA planned to continue this proud gook tradition with their flagship girl group VCHA, a group formed in 2023 from the winners of a web show A2K (America2Korea) on youtube, where JYP himself selected members to form an American kpop group. However, they ran into one small problem: The breakable American spirit.
The Lawsuit
Kiera Grace Madder, 17, (stage name KG Crown) was one of the lucky girls who won A2K and had her dreams come true of becoming a pop star. At least, that is what she thought before entering into the Korean style training system. In May 2024, after enduring months of abuse, KG decided she couldn't take any more, and requested out of her contract. JYP USA refused, citing. that she owed them over $500,000 for training and production costs. Seeing no other option KG filed a lawsuit on December 7th in the state of California to terminate her contract. The complaints of abuse are summarized below:
Now the interesting thing here is that none of this is illegal in South Korea, where JYPE is based. A court there ruled that idols were contractors and not employees, meaning that they were not entitled to protections granted to employees under South Korean labor laws. However, VCHA was based in California, which not only has strict labor laws, but EXTREMELY strict child labor laws, due to the history of child actor abuse in Hollywood.
The general consensus online seems to be that most of the allegations of abuse will go nowhere, but the complaints regarding working hours, denial of profits, and the $500,000 debt are likely to be decided in KG's favor due to California Labor laws.

— JYPE FILES 📌 (@jypefiles) December 9, 2024
Outro
How this will all play out remains to be seen, the most likely course of action in that JYPE realizes that this whole thing is poison to any future attempts to gain a foothold in the American market and just cuts the mayofoid loose without retardedly trying to recoup its "debt".
If you enjoyed this post let me know and I will begin work on the Newjeans saga.

Introduction
Y'all remember the smash hit One Punch Man (OPM) in the mid to late '10s? The persiflage of the entire shounen genre as an invincible but bored superhero defeats all enemies with just one punch? Filled with other nonsensical characters like the strongest man on earth who's essentially the weakest man alive or the guy whose basically just a male feminist (male feminist) in real life? Anyways, that shit is still going strong but I've to elaborate here, OPM is based on a shitty drawn but sovlful webcomic by ONE, which in turn got adapted into an official (tm) manga with much better art by MURATA. The thingy got picked up as an anime and rose to immense popularity. Naturally, the original tone of the comic has been lost as it essentially became what it was making fun of - but that's a given for japanese "writers" as they're all whiny or talentless hacks or a combination of the aforementioned - except Fukumoto he's bae(sed). Anyway, OPM has always had a terrible release schedule but lately it's gotten so disgusting that even long-time fans are dropping the series.
Context
To reiterate, here's the release schedule of the original comic (ONE):
while lazy he managed something
Here's what Murata has managed to draw after late 2023:
You may notice the Retconned tag after some chapters. And yes, it's exactly like you are thinking. He draws those chapters, releases them, and then later decides he isn't happy with the chapter (or the entire arc) and revisions all of it while making slight adjustments. Anyway, the latest chapter is a redraw of an already redrawn chapter originally released in 2023 featuring a filler side story of a filler arc. So basically the entirety of chapters released in 2024 are retconned - people don't like this ... at all:
Drama
/r/OnePunchMan
I love OPM, I love all the stupid drama over which wiafu is best (they're cartoons and y'all are weird), I love the characters and story, I love the art. But the thing is we are getting a product for free here, and early. We don't have to wait for the Manga to get released, we don't have to wait for the finalized product to be able to read what's going on. We literally get a look behind the curtain as this is being made. And part of that process is fixing work that they felt needed to be fixed. Who's to blame? Murata? One? Who cares. It's their work. I'll complain about redraws when I have to rebuy my physical mangas because there's an updated version. It's not done until it's been printed and released. It feels like people are acting privileged and entitled because One released his content online, and now they assume they deserve access to finalized and completed content at our convenience. It will be done when they say it's done. Can we just enjoy what we have in the meantime?
I'd argue that trying to pretend that deleting 14 month of progress out of nowhere is completely fine is far more insufferable.
This isn't a look behind the curtains. It's officially released chapters that also gets official translations. No other series even remotely com close to this mess so of course there is nothing wrong about pointing it out.
Another moment of silence for the poor fools read the official version of OPM on VIZ's app. Because VIZ doesn't translate redrawings.
It is fine? That's how the creative process works sometimes
Literally no other manga series does that.
why make us wait a whole year for a promised move forward in this story and then throw it all away? Its not us being ungrateful but if Murata truly wants quality for this manga he ought to take his time rather than rush and give us half-assed butchered storylines and retcon it constantly
What you don't understand is you're not the audience.
He is getting it right, and the version he wants is what will actually make it into the volume.
He is the audience. Fans like him are the reason why OPM got an official English physicals in the first place. His opinion will be valid if he says it in Japanese or so? That's just silly. He's still a supporting fan, and he could buy the physical manga just like any Japanese fan could. That's a narrow way of looking at it. Every fan contributes to the series' success.

DISC One Punch Man Chapter 195 - 2nd Revision
Ngl the constant redraws have killed my excitement for this series. Doesn't help that I personally think the story gets worse with each version (just my own opinion)
Simple redraws or changes to the pacing is one thing, but changing the literal plot or direction is too far. It feels like that they don't have a vision for the manga and is just drawing whatever they feel works, which they then don't stick to and subsequently and in my opinion wastes my time and attention.
This manga fell off so hard, it really needs to be studied. Being so utterly clueless in what direction you want to take the story that you have to rewrite an arc for a third time. Just copy paste the webcomic at this point.
The funny thing is the defenders of the comic on the main subreddit
Well, it's easy to find defenders when the powertripping mods on there will parma ban anybody even remotely stating something negative about the manga.
OPM is genuinely starting to feel like an afterthought with both of its artists at this point.
I know Murata has that animation project he's working on, and ONE seems occupied with Versus and Bug Ego.
Deleting an entire year's worth of chapters, after having already done a complete 180 on the direction of the climax of the most pivotal arc of the series, is actually mental.
What's the point of reading any of this if it can just be retconned whenever ONE or Murata feel like it?
And the people that are on maximum strength copium trying to justify this shit by saying it's some sort of meta-level 4th wall interference by God to prevent his will from being hindered by the plot are just hilarious. Yes, it's totally that and not just blatant mismanagement and confusion by the creators as to where they want to take the narrative.
