High in the rugged mountains of Central Asia, where the wind howled through rocky crevices and the air was thin and cold, a solitary manul named Tsuruoka prowled the steppes. His thick, grayish fur rippled in the breeze, and his piercing yellow eyes scanned the terrain for movement. Tsuruoka was a skilled hunter, patient and precise, but lately, he had felt a restlessness he couldn't quite explain.
One crisp morning, as the sun cast long shadows across the barren landscape, Tsuruoka caught a scent on the windβsomething unfamiliar yet intriguing. It was faint, but it stirred something deep within him. He followed the trail, his padded feet moving silently over the rocky ground, until he reached a narrow gorge. There, perched on a ledge overlooking the valley, was another manul.
She was smaller than Tsuruoka, with a coat that shimmered silver in the sunlight. Her wide, round eyes were fixed on the horizon, and her tufted ears twitched at the sound of his approach. Tsuruoka froze, unsure of how to proceed. Manuls were solitary by nature, and encounters between them were rare.
But then she turned her head, and their eyes met. For a moment, neither moved. Then, with a soft chuff, she leaped down from the ledge and approached him cautiously. Tsuruoka's heart raced as she drew closer, her scent filling his senses. She was unlike anything he had ever encounteredβgraceful, confident, and utterly captivating.
Her name was Nana, and she had traveled far to find a new territory. As they sat together on the ledge, watching the sun dip below the horizon, Tsuruoka felt a connection he had never known before. Nana's presence was calming yet exhilarating, and he found himself drawn to her in ways he couldn't explain.
Over the following weeks, Tsuruoka and Nana explored the mountains together. They hunted side by side, their movements perfectly synchronized, and shared the warmth of their dens during the frigid nights. Tsuruoka taught Nana the secrets of the landβthe best places to find pikas, the hidden crevices where the wind couldn't reachβand Nana, in turn, brought a new energy to Tsuruoka's solitary life.
One evening, as they sat atop a high ridge, the stars stretching endlessly above them, Tsuruoka nuzzled Nana's cheek. She responded with a soft purr, leaning into him. In that moment, surrounded by the vast, untamed wilderness, they knew they had found something rare and preciousβa bond that transcended their solitary instincts.
From that day on, Tsuruoka and Nana were inseparable. Together, they navigated the challenges of their harsh environment, their love a beacon of warmth in the cold, unforgiving landscape. And though the world around them was wild and untamed, they had found a sanctuary in each other.

Context: The guy from h3h3 recently posted his first video in three years attacking his former friend and cohost socialist streamer Hasan Piker. Did I watch it or care? Frick no. I don't really know what the video says but I came across this post where some other streamer points out how the video uses a doctored image from the Destiny subreddit to make a (false) point.
Anyways, the pinned comment I linked is this:
The clip in the post makes no mention of the word cracker, so on top of being aggravating janny "I'm serious" speak it is totally random. The replies to this comment point this out:
Calling someone a cracker isn't racist, but cracker is a racist slur. Or vice versa? It doesn't make sense.
Some people point out how the jannies of this subreddit b-word about flame wars but then pin shit like this which seems to exist purely to cause flame wars.
The janny double-downs and gets showered with downmarseys in response.
It's not okay to call someone Ritz instead of cracker because that is racist dog-whistling and just as offensive as saying cracker.
Someone mentions how they're leaving the subreddit and the janny responds cattily. Users point out how the janny felt the need to pin their thoughts on the word cracker when it wasn't asked.
Most of the replies look like this.
The janny says they are a social scientist working in race relations.
"I'm literally getting my PhD in this field. If you want proof, read literally the top most suggested and read book on racial relations printed in the 21st century."
Not white? Could have fooled me...
TL;DR: shut up, cracker

A Cal Fire captain was found stabbed to death inside of her San Diego County home on Monday and authorities are still searching for the suspect.
Deputies were dispatched to the 20200 block of Rancho Villa Road in Ramona at around 9 p.m. on Monday after learning of an assault that happened in the area, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds, deputies said. Despite attempted life-saving measures the woman was declared dead at the scene.
On Tuesday, the victim was identified by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, as Rebecca Marodi, 49, a 30-year firefighting veteran who was stationed in French Valley just north of Temecula.
Thus far into their investigation, Sheriff's Homicide Unit detectives have yet to identify a suspect or motive in the incident, but they suspect that Marodi "knew the perpetrator and are treating this case as a potential domestic violence incident."
According to Cal Fire officials, Marodi began her firefighting career in 193 as a volunteer firefighter in Moreno Valley. She then served as a seasonal Fire Fighter I from 1994 to 2000 in San Bernardino and Riverside before she was promoted to Fire Fighter II. In 2007, she was promoted to a Fire Apparatus Engineer and to Captain in 2022.
She was previously stationed in Perris, Home Gardens, Indian Wells, Menifee, North Rancho Mirage and Temecula before ending up with French Valley Station 83.
"Beyond her operational assignments, Captain Marodi was deeply involved in Peer Support and Hazmat, always prioritizing the well-being of her colleagues," the Cal Fire statement said. "Her legacy of mentorship, service, and dedication will be felt for years to come. Her passing is a profound loss to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside her."
Anyone who knows more is urged to contact SDSO homicide detectives at (858) 285-6330.
