We’re actually going to be doing stuff with Houses in the nearish future. Geese was supposed to make the House-specific awards I came up with MONTHS AGO but after he accepted it a couple weeks ago he vanished so that’s now on the backburner, sometime after the chat upgrades, hats (lol), and optional Sorting for new accounts.

Anyway while I have your attention, since @Saint_Nicholas claims that this

was confusing and unclear, I will now walk you through adding hidden Holes to your main feed. These are /h/Chudrama (5k truescore requirement), /h/braincels and /h/smuggies.

Let’s use Chudrama as an example.

1. Visit /h/Chudrama. You can do that without a link by just typing https://rdrama.net/h/Chudrama. Or, you can access it from the master list of Holes: https://rdrama.net/holes

2. Look at this yellow-highlighted bit:

Click there.

1. If done correctly, it will then change to this:

1. Chudrama posts will now appear in New and Trending for you. Well done.

You can also click the lower button in the first screenshot if you’d like a notification of any and all new Chudrama threads.

Before continuing with this post, I would like to assure everyone that CARP ABSOLUTELY IS not HOLDING ME AT GUNPOINT. Any concerns for my well-being are entirely unnecessary and misplaced. I am merely a humble codecel doing his humble job. I AM not UNDER DURESS.

As many of you know, the vile @idio3 recently thoughtlessly stole Carp's GVLDVN MARSEY from his flair. This not only caused more trouble than you can possibly imagine for the codecels who had to clean up the ensuing mess, but it brought our dearest and most beloved @carpathianflorist to the verge of despair and despondency.

There exist three ways flairs are changed at present. This patch modifies them for Carp in particular as follows:

• User Settings: this method remains unchanged. He can do whatever he darn well pleases with his own flair.

• Flairlock: if his deflector ever does happen to go down, flairlocks applied to Carp will disappear into the void rather than have any effect on anyone.

• Admin Tools: other admins can no longer edit Carp's flair. Yes, this makes him better than the other admins as far as the code is concerned.

Fuller minor patch notes about other, unrelated recent changes will be forthcoming in the next few days. Right now I am simply overjoyed to have been able to help Carp through his time of hardship.

You can disable the freaking profanity filter if you’re some kind of gosh dang a-hole poophead but I’d advise against it. Broaden your vocabulary instead!

The slur filter now supports regex or whatever so we can have RNG replacements. But a lot of my original replacements have become a thing so I didn’t add any besides for niglet I don’t think. I also replaced cute butch because whoever came up with “cute lesbian” was really uninspired and should be ashamed.

There are new cheeky replacements as well but we don’t talk about those. I will be adding more as time goes on.

This upgrade was inspired by the brilliant mind of Dr. Oaken

and we are now roughly 40% more inscrutable if you’re brand new to the internet, or are completely incapable of picking up on context clues to infer obvious meaning like her.

Next up is a boring revision to the clusterfrick that is the Settings pages. Given that simply blocking cuss words took Devrama down for like a half hour, I project that making settings coherent will bring down the main site for roughly 4 years. This outage will begin tomorrow, or possibly tonight if I can’t sleep.

Pic unrelated but far more important than any of this nonsense - look at this amazing new MT I scored. For the gay losers who don’t know what this means, allow me to explain:

This is an alien style rifle. That has the highest base damage output in NMS, for one thing. For another, it’s absolutely ridiculous looking which is excellent.

But the really important part is the supercharged tech slot placement. See those Scatter Blaster mods? Those are the 4 SC slots. Not the legendary 2x2 positioning, but one of those has yet to be proven to actually exist. The 3x1 layout is almost functionally identical to a theoretical 2x2 and better according to some schools of thought.

I grabbed two. The PVP variant obviously has Blaze Javelin modules in the SC slots, but here we have the PVE one where I don’t even need to use over half the available slots because that fricking Scatter Blaster can take out a mech with one volley and a walker with a single clip.

Incredible find.

In related news, my three day absence was absolutely brutal for the site. 23 hours after returning, activity has increased by 50-60% back to normal levels.

The badges listing page you've known and loved has NEW FEATURES.

1. You can see how many people have each badge and what percentage of the total userbase that represents.

2. You can click on the #/Rarity column header to sort by rarity.

3. You can click on the links in the number column for a list of users with that badge.

For esoteric technical reasons, badge rarity only recomputes once an hour, so don't be surprised if the person you just chudded doesn't show up immediately.

I am also told that @carpathianflorist has already used this new data to embark on the Night of the Long Badge. Thirteen Sigmas have been tossed off the grindset, and nearly all Artist Laureates have been found wanting. The reign of terror may continue sporadically at Carp's sole discretion.

There, I've preemptively made half the comments in the thread. And I have a rebuttal: THERE ARE NOW TAGS. On each and every one of the 700some Marseys. My hands hurt. But now, for example, you can search like "halloween" to bring up all the Halloween emojis. Or "schismatic" to bring up the Orthodox ones. Or "groomer" and "borpa" and the like for . Or "animated" for all of the animated ones. There are over 700 Marseys to date, but I think I did a pretty fantastic job of accounting for most common descriptors of most of them. Each one has multiple tags - sometimes quite a few - and you can just search a piece of the tag to get the results. So you don't need "pizza" for pizza; just "piz" is fine. Or even just p, though that will bring up every other emoji with "p" in it as well.

NEXT UP, @axolotl had the brilliant idea of adding a LOAD MORE button to long threads. I think it caps at 50 comments now? Or 70? Or 100? I'm not sure what we settled on, I was very tired when we were testing. Anyway, @Aevann built it this morning and it is PHENOMENAL. No more 10+ second loads on huge threads, they should be fairly instantaneous now. It is not retroactive (we can make it retroactive though, but the comparative speeds are fun) but everything is a million times better for future threads. It is now retroactive.

You may need to clear your cache to get the emoji picker updated. I'm not sure. Do it anyway though, it's been too long since you did it last.

Eight-Ball Fortunes: You can now put #8bαll in your comments for a random magic eight-ball fortune. Like #fοrtune but a less eclectic, more standard set of answers.

Leaderboard: https://rdrama.net/leaderboard now has a table of contents at the top so you don't have to scroll so much, plus a floating back-to-top button in the bottom right. We also now have a "Top 25 Most Blocked" hiscore table at bottom.

Confetti: As you likely noticed, confetti recently become less ghetto. It's not changing any more. If you want the (((coin))) shower back, beg hard enough and it might become a new award. No promises, though—the (((cabal))) is very restrictive about certain award themes.

Minor Patch Notes:

• Randomly chosen agendaposter PFPs are back—no more Astolfo only. We added a few more images too so our chuds can really feel represented in their pictures!

• User count on the sidebar is still undergoing formatting changes. The random flavor text ("x chuds currently agendaposting", etc) will be back soon.

• Chat is fixed.

• User profile pages now have many more HTML id attributes in the markup. This should make customizing profile CSS somewhat less of a pain. Feel free to ask if there's other elements you want a class or id on.

• More Marseys are still coming Soon™. Carp is very bad at computers.
