Mental Redditor (oxymoron) decided to write his larp
Now this is no incel redpill bullshit but this thing happened again last night while I was on a date with a beautiful German girl and this time it really pissed me off.
I may have exaggerated a bit to get the point
I was at a bar with a gorgeous Chilean girl who had an amazing sense of style. Two blonde girls from Atlanta that were in NY that night for work started talking to us, and actually first said that "we were super cute together." We kept talking and eventually the conversation devolved into both of them saying that my date was absolutely stunning and could get any guy in the bar, and that they would never expect a woman like that to be with a guy that looks like me.
By the end of the night though, they were a little nicer and one of them even told me that "she could understand why my date found me attractive."
Though it might come across as a bit incel-ish
Absolutely not
I think it is important to point out that this has has only happened when I've been with women that are clearly foreigners.
WTF is even foreigner in NYC
Regarding what was going on during the date that might've "set some alarms" for the woman that ended up saying this to my date. I did say to my date that "I really wanted to kiss her," but I did it in what I perceived to be a respectful way. I told her that, she said not right now, and we kept having a good time. Eventually she kissed me there, at the bar, and then outside, and then at her place (we ended up spending the night together). She also texted me this morning thanking me for a wonderful time, so it really, really didn't feel like she took it the wrong way. Like I mentioned on the original post, she even stood up for me when this woman walked up to us. But yes I did tell her that I wanted to kiss her and she initially said no, and the woman next to us might've heard this which could've made her come to certain conclusions.
Seriously why do he even wrote that shit ?
The only time when people came to me like this is when I was 16, I asked a girl out to six flags on Halloween she said yes and the whole event she was showing me could shoulder so some guys came to me and told I can do better and should leave that b-word and focus on other girls.
And it was legit wired she would keep 6 feet distance from me and when we entered scary room I hoped she would hug me but she started hugging another guy who was with his gf and a b-word fight started I just ignored them and headed to the exit sadly then she found me and started bitching on me for not protecting her and leaving her. It was a bad day. And the b-word seemed had enjoyed it and even mocked me by writing to me if I came home and if I am not angry at her.
It was obvious to every one around I was hurt back then so it made sense some grown up men would come to me to try to cheer me up.
But this Redditor just writes poor bs.

Short answer: no
Long answer: noooooooooo
Detailed explanation: No, because definitely not.
If they think it's unfeasible (we don't have the tech currently to do it on a large scale) they should at least explain their reasons
No. It's mostly smoke and mirrors. Why are fossil fuel companies so interested in this technology? They use the captured CO2 to extract additional oil from wells. It's just another distraction to avoid the elephant in the room and continue business as usual.
The answer is No
This user is surely negative

I'm a chemist working on the (electro)conversion of CO2 into economically valuable products. In my opinion, making this process profitable would be the only way to convince big companies to significantly invest in the process. I can tell you that we are far from making the process economically viable
Edit: to clarify, I'm not defending that we should prioritize the economy. I'm saying that that's what policy makers/ big companies prioritize, so it won't happen until the process is profitable, which is far from now. We thus rely on different approaches to mitigate climate change
A sensible comment
Bonus on doomering about millions dying in India during heat waves just a few years from now
We are going to have a heat wave combined with power failure that kills millions by the end of the decade.
You get a wet bulb temp weather system that settles over a city for a couple days, and the power system goes down.
The opening chapter of the novel "The Ministry for the Future" is a description of just this scenario, and it is hands down one of the most horrifying things I have ever read.
Yup that chapter was sickeningly realistic
The heat wave deaths are then followed by a massive pandemic as millions of corpses liquefy in the heat. The whole city would be a biohazard for a long time
I just started this book yesterday and this post made me do a double take. I had a moment of like, โwaitโฆthat's too realโ

A leading academic no doubt thought she was making polite conversation when she mentioned her fondness of sushi to a Japanese colleague.
However, Nana Sato-Rossberg interpreted the comment as racist, accused Claire Ozanne of prejudice, then sued the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.
Now the judge chairing an employment tribunal has ruled that Sato-Rossberg, a linguistics and culture professor, was โhypersensitiveโ and โpredisposedโ to finding fault in her colleague. Jillian Brown dismissed Sato-Rossberg's claim, finding that Ozanne, the former deputy director and provost at Soas, was simply making acceptable and friendly โsmall talkโ.
Earlier the tribunal was told that Sato-Rossberg started teaching at the university in 2014 and five years later was appointed as head of the department for languages, culture and linguistics.
In 2020 Ozanne, an Oxford graduate and insect specialist who has appeared on BBC radio programmes and has since moved to Liverpool Hope University, became her manager.
The tribunal in central London heard that after their first meeting, Sato-Rossberg told a colleague that she thought Ozanne would be biased because Sato-Rossberg โwas not Britishโ and was an ethnic minority woman.
The hearing was told that Sato-Rossberg had said that โpeople like me โ a non-white female โ must constantly consider the possibility that they are treated unfairly because of gender or ethnicityโ.
There was also evidence that in 2021 Ozanne told Sato-Rossberg about a sushi restaurant near her home that her family enjoyed visiting, and that the professor took exception to the comment. Sato-Rossberg told the tribunal that Ozanne โwould not have said to a German person, โI like sausage.'โ
Sato-Rossberg told the hearing that if Ozanne โwished to make conversation, we had many commonalities through our work and professional academic endeavour. But [she] chose to speak only about topics directly relevant to my race: the liking of Japanese food and that her family like it and eat sushi.โ
In its report the tribunal said that in the six months following the sushi comment, Sato-Rossberg continued to complain about Ozanne. In 2022 she emailed a senior member of the university's administration accusing the deputy director of bullying and harassment. Sato-Rossberg asked for Ozanne to be replaced as her manager, claiming that she had exhibited โracist microaggressionโ towards her.
The university started an investigation into the claims, during which time Sato-Rossberg was promoted, but it rejected the allegations last year. In response Sato-Rossberg sued Soas for race discrimination, harassment, victimisation and unfair treatment for whistleblowing.
Rejecting the claim, the judge found that Sato-Rossberg had concluded, without evidence, that Ozanne was prejudiced against her from the start of their relationship.
Addressing the sushi remark, the judge said that Ozanne was aware that Sato-Rossberg was Japanese and took the view that she โwould receive this positively. She was making small talk and trying to establish a point of shared interest.โ
The judge added that Ozanne had said โnothing detrimental about Japanโ.

So I was sitting with a guy at work at lunch playing Mario Kart
He'd been blasting about his skill at Mario Kart for a while so I suggested we bring our Nintendo Switches in and settle things
He is a zoomer so has only ever experience Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch. He didn't even know it was a Wii U game first. He hadn't even heard of the Wii U lmao.
Me, being a pro at every Mario Kart since 64 (SNES version sucked), beat him easily, but I was still very happy in doing so.
As I'm smiling and doing a little victory dance, he goes to me "You look quite feminine when you do that".
He's quite blunt but not in a mean way. It's like he's got no inhibitions about talking to someone about sensitive subjects. Probably autism.
I asked him what he meant and he went quiet and just mumbled "Sorry just thought the way you laughed and smiled was a bit feminine."
Someone else chipped in with "Yeah it's your girly lips."
I can handle shit like this so I didn't get upset and gave them some banter back.
But I've been thinking all afternoon. Do they know?
I've got a beard, male-pattern baldness and am quite muscly. Basically look like a stocky manlet. But do they know? Should I care if they do?
