Bizarre reason why McDonald's worker might not receive $60,000 reward for identifying Luigi Mangione
The strict rules could mean the tipster might not even get a dime
Brian Thompson, 50, was gunned down in New York last week in an apparent targeted attack.
He was shot in the back on Wednesday (December 4) outside the Hilton hotel in Midtown Manhattan, where the medical insurance company he ran, UnitedHealthcare, was holding an investors' meeting.
A 26-year-old man has since been charged with murder of Thompson.
Luigi Mangione was taken into custody at a McDonald's restaurant in the town of Altoona, Pennsylvania on Monday (December 9), after an employee reportedly alerted police.
The cops had launched a widespread manhunt for their suspect and appealed to the public for their help in tracking him down.
New York Police Department offered a reward of $10,000 for anyone with information on their suspect.
The search then grew over the weekend ,as the FBI backed the NYPD in the investigation, adding an additional $50,000 to the pot, and hundreds of tips poured in.
The McDonald's worker said they saw Mangione around 9.15am 'acting suspiciously' in the restaurant, adding that he appeared to have fraudulent documents.
Mangione was then arrested with five charges at the scene, as officers found he was in possession of fake IDs, a 'ghost' gun, silencer, clothes, and a mask matching the one that the suspected shooter was captured wearing.
Just hours later, investigators charged Mangione with murder and four other counts, including firearms charges.
The tip-off from the employee is apparently crucial in the case, but the question remains if the worker will be able to cash in on the $60k reward at all.The rules are complicated, as they stipulate tipsters in with a chance of the FBI portion of the reward cannot nominate themselves.
This means the McDonald's worker will have to be put forward by an investigating agency, such as the Department of Defense or the FBI, which is then reviewed by an interagency committee.
If approved, the suggestion is passed on to the Secretary of State, who signs off on the final decision.
If that's not tough enough, the full reward amount could also be in dispute as payment amounts are based on factors from the value of the information provided, the level of threat, the severity of danger or injury to people or property, and the degree of the source's cooperation.
As for the NYPD's $10k, the rewards program is granted through Crime Stoppers, where tipsters receive a unique reference number.
This number is crucial as the tipster has to use it call back or check the status of the investigation online before lodging a claim with the NYC Police Foundation and the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors, who ultimately decide whether to approve the tip and instruct the caller how to receive it.
So, if the informant called 911 instead of Crime Stoppers, they might be unable to make the claim.
In both cases, the rewards will only be paid out if the arrest leads to indictment or conviction from the court - so the McDonald's employee could be waiting a while and even at the end of it all, might not even get a dime.

Greetings dramatards
A Country in Turmoil
It's time for the part 2 of our story. Taking from last post, Salvador Allende is the President of Chile and in 1971 the Unidad Popular got big wins on the municipal elections (getting 49% of the popular vote), however because Allende and the commies activated the money printer inflation skyrocketed in Chile leading to a stronger opposition.
As mentioned in the other post, General Viaux along members of the right-wing paramilitary group "Patria y Libertad" and CIA glowies assassinated the commander of the army, General René Schneider.
The so-called "Schneider Doctrine" was a non-intervention principle by which the Armed Forces were to remain loyal to the constitutional order. The Chilean Armed Forces are composed by 3 branches, the army , the navy , and the Air Force . Then you have the "Carabineros de Chile", the carabineros are the National Police but they're highly militarized and more akin to the French "Gendarmerie"
After taking office in 1970, Allende appointed General Carlos Prats as the new head of the army.
General Prats was a fierce adept of the Schneider Doctrince.
In terms of the economy the currency reserves of Chile went from 394 million dollars in 1970 to 163 million dollars in 1971. In terms of trade the balance went from a surplus of 95 million dollars to a deficit of 90 million dollars after an abrupt fall in copper prices (Chile's main export abroad).
The raising of wages along the freezing of prices led to shortages of good, and by 1971 a black market had risen.
By 1973 the amount of money circulating rose from 173% in 1972 to 413%. Inflation went from 225% in 1972 and reached 606% in 1973. On the streets violent clashes occurred between sympathizers of Allende and the Unidad Popular and right-wingers/other members of the opposition.
The government blamed shortages on sabotaging by enemies of the people, however even unions engaged and benefited from the black market activities. They would oftentimes charge their remunerations in goods so they could trade them in the black market. Very wholesome and stable government
By 1972 the government created the "Junta de Abastecimientos y Precios", which were local "people's" committees to deliver basic food goods and combat the shortages.
A pic from the breadlines
On October 9th 1972 the National Confederacy of Trucker's Owners went on a strike along with other trucker's associations. They had the backing of newspapers like "El Mercurio" (known conservative newspaper) and our glowie friends
On October 10th the government responded by arresting the truckers leaders, by October 12th the truckers responded by blocking the main roads of the country which led Allende to declare a National Emergency. By October 13th some 300 people had been arrested all over the country. In the following days other organizations joined the strike, among them the Confederation of Commerce and Production, the Confederation of Small Industry, the Association of minibuses drivers, the association of taxi drivers. By October 17th they were joined by the Medical Association of Chile (basically all doctors), the Federation of High School students of Santiago and all the Lawyers, engineers, and dentistry organizations. Then port workers, pilots, teachers, by October 18th the country was completely paralyzed.
The associations formed the "National Command" and published their demands on "El Mercurio", they asked for the end of nationalizations, end of expropriations, restitution of expropriated property, end of radio censorship and limiting the President's powers. The strike peaked on October 24th, a day known as "Día del Silêncio",
During the strike, 2 truckers, one soldier and a worker are killed.
The strike ended on November 5th after Allende appointed members of the Armed Forces to cabinet. Carlos Prats took over as Minister of the Interior, Rear Admiral Ismael Huerta as Minister of Public Works and General Sepúlveda as Minister of Mining. This cabinet lasted up to the midterm elections of march 1973 where the Unidad Popular got 44% of the votes vs 55% of the Confederacy for Democracy (all opposition parties ranging from the PDC to rightoids together).
By 1973 Allende tried to re-aproach the PDC, however Eduardo Frei Montalva and Patricio Aylwin demanded military ministers which would have left the UP out of too many ministries.
By April 17th 1973 a miners strike began at "El Teniente" triggering street violence and lasting for 74 days. By 1973 over 100 people had been killed because of political violence. There was a risk of Civil War by then. Meanwhile the Coup d'Etat was already being planned by the high command of the Chilean Navy.
On June 27th 1973, General Prats was being driven through an intersection in the fancy neighborhood of "Las Condes" in Santiago when his car was approached by a red Renault. The people inside the car begin to insult Prats who was paranoid about what happened to Schneider 3 years earlier. So Prats took his gun and told them to stop, they didn't so Prats opened the window and shot the Renault . Both cars stopped and the driver was a woman accompanied by her young nephew, a crowd then surrounded Prats, he apologized and everyone begin to insult him and threaten him. They proceeded to break his car apart and flatten his tires, a taxi driver passed by took Prats away, told him to get in or he would be lynched. On that same day Prats went to Allende's office and presented his resignation. On June 29th however a coup attempt happened when Lt. Colonel Roberto Souper rebelled along his regiment. The attempt known as "Tanquetazo" was quelled by Prats himself. 22 people died.
By mid 1973 the Soviet Union was supposed to send weapons to Chile as part of an agreement with Allende, however they decided not too as they could see the writing on the wall, Allende wasn't going to make it so the Russians didn't want to risk arming rightoids.
On the Other front there was an institutional crisis going on. The mayors of the Unidad Popular along the central government were carrying out nationalizations and expropriations based on laws passed by a failed socialist regime in Chile which lasted for a few months in 1932.
By 1972 the courts were ruling against the expropriation as unlawful and unconstitutional. Between January and May 1973 the Supreme Court passed a number of resolutions asking the government to comply with the laws and abide by the courts instead of ignoring them, citing a constitutional breakdown.
presenting to the President for "the umpteenth time the illegal attitude of the administrative authority in the illicit interference in judicial matters
The government goons replied with a campaign calling judges "viejos de mierda" (old shits).
Prats took over as Minister of Defense on August 9th. On August 21st in front of Prats house a crowd of angry military wives gathered to protest. On that afternoon Allende along his ministers and Prats second in command, General Augusto Pinochet, arrive in place to show their support. The crowd proceeds to boo them all. By August 23rd Prats resigns. He recommends Allende to appoint Augusto Pinochet Ugarte, a longtime apolitical officer with no affiliations, as new head of the army.
On August 22nd the Chamber of Deputies of Chile passed a resolution of the Institutional and Legal Breakdown of Chile. This resolution accused the government of totalitarian practices, ignoring the courts and attempting against basic liberties. They called upon the Armed Forces to act. The Medical Association also signed a letter demanding Allende's resignation.
In the Navy almost everyone in the upper echelons was part of the coup's conspiracy. A similar phenomenon in the Air Force except for General César Ruíz, the head of the branch. However after Allende appointed him as Minister of Public Works and Transportation, General Gustavo Leigh, a plottist, became the new head of the Air Force. In the Carabineros (Police) General César Mendoza was part of the conspiracy. The wild card was Pinochet.
In September 7th Admiral Merino sent a letter to Leigh and Pinochet asking them to dispose their forces on September 11th at 6:00am in Valparaíso.
Augusto Pinochet
Augusto Pinochet was born on November 25, 1915, in Valparaíso, Chile, to Augusto Pinochet Vera and Avelina Ugarte Martínez. He grew up in a middle-class family in a port city that was then a cultural and commercial hub. Pinochet was the eldest of six children and was raised in a devout Catholic household, which instilled in him a sense of discipline and hierarchy that would shape his later military career.
In 1933, Pinochet enrolled at the Chilean Military School, where he demonstrated a strong sense of ambition but was not particularly distinguished academically. After graduating in 1937 as a second lieutenant, he began a slow ascent through the ranks of the Chilean Army. Over the years, he developed a reputation as a competent and methodical officer, although he remained relatively unknown outside military circles.
During the 1940s and 1950s, Pinochet served in various units across Chile, gaining experience in different terrains and military operations. He married Lucía Hiriart Rodríguez in 1943, and the couple would go on to have five children. His family life was characterized by Lucía's strong influence on his personal and political decisions.
Pinochet's career advanced during the 1960s, a time when Chile was undergoing significant political and social changes. He continued his education by attending the War Academy, where he specialized in military strategy and geopolitics. By the mid-1960s, Pinochet had become a professor at the academy, known for his lectures on counterinsurgency, reflecting the military's growing focus on internal security during the Cold War. His academic contributions included a strong emphasis on maintaining order and combating Marxist ideologies, which were gaining traction in Chile and across Latin America.
In 1968, Pinochet was promoted to brigadier general, a significant milestone in his career. He was posted to various key roles, including commanding units in Chile's north and south. His administrative skills and ability to maintain strict discipline earned him recognition among his peers, though he remained apolitical, rarely voicing opinions on the country's political turmoil.
At this point in 1973, Pinochet's public image remained that of a quiet, professional soldier. Few suspected that within weeks, he would become the leader of a coup that would overthrow Allende's government and mark the beginning of his nearly 17-year rule as the head of a military dictatorship.
THE COUP
Pinochet took 2 days until he replied to Merino that he was in. There's some irony on this famous tyrant becoming a dictator by chance, he wasn't even part of the conspiracy up until a few days before as they didn't know if he could be trusted. On September 9th Allende announced a plebiscite to solve the institutional crisis, but it was pretty much too late.
On September 10th Pinochet sent his family away to the South near the border with Argentina, in case they needed to escape.
In the early hours of September 11, 1973, military units began mobilizing across Chile. Communication networks and transportation hubs were placed under surveillance or neutralized. Key military figures, including Pinochet and Merino, coordinated from secure locations, ensuring that their forces were synchronized. The coup's success depended on swift control of Santiago, the nation's capital, where La Moneda Palace, the seat of government, symbolized Allende's authority.
At approximately 6:00 a.m., the coup began in earnest. Army units in Santiago and other cities occupied key military installations, broadcast stations, and transportation hubs. The Navy took control of Valparaíso, Chile's main port city, ensuring that reinforcements or communications from outside the country could not interfere. This action effectively isolated Chile diplomatically and physically.
One of the earliest moves was the seizure of radio and television stations, which were critical for controlling the narrative. Military forces occupied Radio Agricultura and other major broadcasters, replacing regular programming with martial music and announcements. At 7:00 a.m., a public declaration by the military junta was broadcast, announcing their intent to "restore order" and accusing Allende of undermining democracy. This marked the first public acknowledgment of the coup and was designed to disorient Allende's supporters.
Simultaneously, troops began moving toward critical infrastructure in Santiago, including airports, bridges, and major roadways. By 8:00 a.m., the military had effectively paralyzed the city, cutting off avenues for resistance or escape. These early operations ensured that opposition forces were unable to mobilize effectively, granting the coup leaders uncontested control over Santiago's strategic points.
La Moneda Palace became the focal point of the coup as Salvador Allende and his closest aides barricaded themselves inside. By 7:30 a.m., Allende had arrived at the palace, determined to resist the military's demands for his resignation. Armed with a small contingent of loyal security personnel and a few supporters, Allende rejected offers of safe passage out of the country, declaring that he would defend his presidency to the end.
The military issued an ultimatum to Allende at approximately 8:30 a.m., demanding that he surrender unconditionally. Allende refused, famously addressing the nation via Radio Magallanes around 9:10 a.m., in what would become his final speech. In his broadcast, Allende reaffirmed his commitment to the Chilean people, denouncing the coup as a betrayal of democracy and a tool of foreign imperialism.
By mid-morning, tanks and infantry units surrounded La Moneda, cutting off all access to and from the palace. Snipers were positioned on rooftops, while artillery was prepared to breach the building's defenses. The Air Force contributed by deploying fighter jets, a decisive move that underscored the junta's overwhelming firepower.
At 11:00 a.m., after another ultimatum was ignored, the military began bombarding La Moneda with heavy artillery. Hawker Hunter fighter jets strafed the palace, delivering precision strikes that caused significant damage. The psychological effect of the airstrikes was immense, as the explosions reverberated across the city, signaling the coup's seriousness and ruthlessness.
The Fall of La Moneda
By noon, La Moneda was engulfed in smoke and flames. The small contingent inside, including Allende, was running out of ammunition and options. The military intensified its assault, with ground forces breaching the palace's lower levels. Despite the hopeless situation, Allende refused to surrender. Around 1:30 p.m., with the palace in ruins and his presidency effectively over, Allende reportedly took his own life with an AK-47 rifle gifted to him by Fidel Castro.
The military secured La Moneda shortly after 2:00 p.m., raising the junta's flag over the smoldering ruins. Troops conducted a sweep of the building, detaining any survivors and seizing documents. The junta immediately announced that Allende was dead, framing his death as a suicide to delegitimize any potential martyrdom or rallying cry for resistance.
While the siege of La Moneda dominated the events in Santiago, the military worked to consolidate power across the country. In major cities like Valparaíso, Concepción, and Antostragasta, military units detained leftist political leaders, trade unionists, and suspected supporters of Allende's Popular Unity coalition. By the afternoon, stadiums, schools, and other large facilities were repurposed as detention centers, where thousands of individuals were interrogated, tortured, or executed.
The military junta issued decrees banning political parties, unions, and public assemblies. A curfew was declared, and military patrols roamed the streets, enforcing martial law. The use of propaganda continued, with radio broadcasts proclaiming the success of the coup and the beginning of a "new era" for Chile. By the end of the afternoon, resistance had been effectively crushed, and the junta was in full control of the country.
The new Junta de Gobierno was composed by Augusto Pinochet, Gustavo Leigh, Tobías Merino, and César Mendoza. With Congress closed now they ruled Chile becoming effectively the executive and legislative power.
So begins the Dictatorship

====(from reuters)
SYDNEY, Nov 29 (Reuters) - A Royal New Zealand Navy vessel ran aground and sank off the coast of Samoa last month as a result of human error, a government-initiated inquiry found on Friday.
HMNZS Manawanui, the navy's specialist dive and hydrographic vessel, grounded on a reef on the southern side of Samoa, on Oct. 5 while conducting survey operations. All 75 crew members on board survived.
"The direct cause of the grounding has been determined as a series of human errors which meant the ship's autopilot was not disengaged when it should have been," the head of New Zealand's Navy Rear Admiral Gavin Golding said in a statement on Friday.
he crew did not realise the ship remained in autopilot and consequently thought its failure to respond to direction changes was the result of a thruster control failure.
The reasons why the crew failed to notice the error would be part of a wider inquiry expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year, Golding said.
====(end quote)
=====(from 1news)
Disciplinary process to commence
Golding said that because human error was identified as the cause, a separate disciplinary process would need to begin once the Court of Inquiry had concluded.
The process would look at the officer in control of the ship, the supervising officer on the bridge, and the commanding officer of the Manawanui.
He said there were a number of other contributing factors leading to the grounding, which would be considered in more detail during phase two of the inquiry. These include training, planning, supervision, readiness, and risk assessment.
"To provide some immediate assurance, we have conducted a series of audits in the Fleet and looked to implement initial lessons identified from the interim report around training, risk management, and improving relevant orders, instructions and procedures," he said.
Speaking to media today, Defence Minister Judith Collins reacted to the report, saying: "I think we're all terribly disappointed by what happened and why it happened".
============
The vessel's sinking raised concerns about damage to the local environment, with many worried that leaking fuel could taint their food source.
The ship was carrying around 950 tonnes of diesel, and earlier this month, local authorities said about 200,000 litres of fuel had leaked from the sunken wreckage.
Golding told media there was still a "persistent slow leak" coming from the Manawanui.
"We monitor it each day with our divers that are in place."
He said compensation for locals was a matter for the Samoan government but said the Defence Force was supporting Samoa in the process. [ not our problem abos]
================
"I want to reassure the public of New Zealand that we will learn from this situation and that it is on me, as the Chief of Navy, to earn back your trust.
"We have incredible people within our Defence Force who answer the call to serve every day. Much of their work is risky and involves decisions that can mean life or death. No one turns up to work to have a bad day.

When you let corporate interests take over your economy, workers have to unionize or they are treated like shit. That's what happened with Starbucks, that's what happened with Amazon, that's what happened with Uber. None of those are government owned businesses and they are fighting tooth and nail to union bust in different regions of the world. There isn't enough resource for everyone to run their own business and actually profit on it. Look at the restaurant industry. Half of the good restaurants can't stay open past 1-3 years. That's across every industry. (11)

See? You talk as a "fight for the people". That is out of touch. Its not by taking them as leverage and hurting their own living wage in this economy that will help.Small businesses are the most hurted by this. They have employees too.Thinking its a fight for the people is just thinking too high of what it is.All the strikes CUPW did... Greetings Dratastrags!
Today I wanna talk about a funny and dramatic event that occurred back in 2016. An afrikaans turbo Karen was having a and screetching to heaven and high. Two black Speedos (Traffic Control Police) had come to her stalled vehicle to aid her or to find out what was wrong, as her car was obscuring a lane.
Earlier her car had been burglarized by black thieves, and she had been helpless to stop them, as most foids are. Thus, she was already having bad bad day, and in meltdown mode when the traffic police officers had arrived to her car, with her in full distress and meltdown mode.
Being of the same phenotype of of Burgerland Karens, and somehow not having developed the self-preservation instinct which most boers and bongs in South Africa developed, namely keeping their inner-chud in check when other blacks are in the vicinity, or where you could get in serious trouble, in a country where the average white is outnumbered by a factor of 20 by their black countrymen, she went full r-slur mode when the two black traffic police arrived.
The officers arriving to assist her, suddenly found themselves the target of unprecedented vitriol and turbo karen-speak, all for only resembling the black thieves which had burgled her car. The more they talked with her, the more she went off like a volcano, and she seemed to take all of her worldly frustrations upon these two poor chodes. Eventually even the two cops got angry and started verbally bitching back, shocked at this unprovoked tirade.
And then boyz, our lady lucky, went off the deep end by calling the two police officers Kaffirs to their face. Not once, or twice, or thrice, but 50 fricking times! All of this would have been another misdemeanor story in the newspaper, if our unlucky Karen wasn't so unfortunate as to be recorded during her by bystanders on their smartphones.
Just like George Floyd having his death be particularly going viral over media, because of video evidence of his death, so too did this Karen land herself unprovoked into boiling hot water. National outrage by liberals and pretty much all of the black peeps in RSA ensured that this stupid tart would find herself in a highly politicized court case with large media following.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaffir_(racial_term)
Just like our cousins in Burgerland with their multiracial nation, so too do we have our historic word of denigration towards blacks in South Africa. Just like N#gger, K#ffer has its legacy as a big no-no word, which elicits pearl-clutching and fainting wherever it's spoken out loud. It's a word of such mythic proportions, that even today historic books can be arbitrarily banned by the Department of Education, or streets renamed, or geographic features expunged in the National Land Survey Cadaster.
I shit you not, when I was at the Univercity of Cape Town, some students were called upon to aid in the researching of very old records in order locate and delete or rename any features or lands or landmarks with the K@ffer name attached.
I have to say my boer ancestors were a really unimaginative lot - they fricking named so so soooooo many landmarks like, K#ffer valley, K#ffer river, K#ffer mount, K#ffer berg/mountain, K#ffer street, K#ffer lane, K#ffer plateau, and on and on, you get the idea. Like holy shit, the earliest survey records from 1860s to 1880s still surviving in the various Surveyor Generals' archives in their respective provinces had sooooo fricking many features, and locations and landmarks censored because of the racial slur
Apparently our Burger cousins were ALSO once again plagued by this r-sluration: both their fricking Land Surveyors naming literally every 3rd hill or river as n#gger hill or n#gger river or whatever, as well as that they too had to the trouble of trying to move past the abundance of features now considered racial slurs in their modern era.

I should make a Looongpost about american renaming of racial slurs on geographic features sometime, it's full of r-sluration, but anyways I'm derailing, back to k#ffir.
Basically the terms originates from Arabs, and their word Kafir - which refers to infidels and non-muslims, which they had used to refer to pretty much everyone non-muslim, regardless of race, but because of their trade with non-muslim Southern African blacks in places like Mozambique, which the Portuguese wrestled from the Arab muslims who were slave traders there. Thus already by the 1652 when Van Riebeeck landed to start a colony for a refreshment station, the word kafir was already in the lexicon of the dutch, through cultural osmosis from the Portuguese, and our dutch misconstrued the term as their word for black skinned african people.
It wasn't the only word for african black people, slur or not, but it was within one of the many in their lexicon. By the time the dutch and proto-boers fricked off from the Cape Colony to start their fabled Boer Republics, Kafir had become the main descriptor for black people in general, since most south african whites/europeans at that time would distinguish between favorable and unfavorable blacks - in terms of those who were friendly trade partners, like the Hottentots and Sothos, and those who were openly hostile and dangerous like the fearsome Xhosas and Zulu tribes. Thus Kafir was a general term for black skinned people, and wasn't in itself considered racist in its time, mere a slang for black africans.
It did however become a racial slur by the time the Boer Republics were conquered by the Anglo armies of Britain, as an ethnic slur, as modern thinking of proto-eugenics became widespread, and the rush for dividing africa by the European powers, and european thinking had solidified the idea that africans were an inferior form of humanity, as they were seen culturally and militarily inferior - they had not Naval ships, or gunpower weaponry, or cathedrals or castles. Thus, anything african made were fast becoming to be seen as inferior, and that Europeans were justified in subjugating them. Gradually anything african related itself also became a denigration as something lesser that that of their european counterparts, including the people themselves.
Thus Kafir became a slur, as anything black/african was inferior.
Lastly, since Kafir was mostly adopted as the go to descriptor by the dutch, it's pronunciation also changed. From Kafir, to Kaffir. Pronounced from Ka - fer, to Kaf - fer.
It comes from the longer efs that africaners say, and is also where the written joke of Sef-Efricans or Sif - efricans come from; from the very thick afrikaans accents like my own which struggles to say short fs without sounding like were are attempting to whistle whenever they utter a word with fs.
Anyways, by the time the Apartheid years arrived, k#ffer had been firmly established as the Southern African slur for black peeps, and even to this day they are understandably upset about it. The ANC pretty much explicitly targeted the word under the Mandela Administration, when they rewrote our constitution, and formed the laws forbiddingthe statute barring verbal racial abuse directed at another person.
And unlike our Burger peers with their N-word, our black peeps did not develop the curious culture of reclaiming their respective racial epithet, thus the word is as rarely heard as it tends to make eyes widen. From this I hope to have given background and context as to why this Karen lady was in supremely deep shit for having been caught by camera video uttering k#ffer no less than 50 times!!
The case took two years, and in 2018, a judge sentenced Vicki Momberg (our Karen) to three years in prison, with one year suspended if she does not commit the same offense.
Yeah that's right, another white officer had to approach her, to get her to calm the frick down, and not insult his colleagues, before she came down to earth.
Just to demonstrate how much she dug her own grave, and her absolute lack of self-preservation.
""In the past, South Africans have been prosecuted for verbal racial abuse under the crimen injuria statute, but they were just fined.Last month, a South African man was fined 100,000 rand, or about $8,460, for calling a black man the k-word during an argument. In 2016, a former real estate agent was fined about a total of more than $13,000 for repeatedly referring to black people as "monkeys" in a Facebook rant, accusing them of littering and being uneducated.
But in recent years, the South African government has been calling for far stricter penalties for racist and discriminatory behavior. Earlier this month, the country's cabinet approved the Prevention and Combating of Hate Crimes and Hate Speech Bill, allowing it to be sent to Parliament for a vote. That bill would make hate speech or hate crimes punishable up to three years in prison for first-time offenders and up to 10 years for subsequent offenses.""

lolol
Now the real drama and sneed is that not recorded, since most media is liberal, but also self-censored by the journ*lists fearing public backlash should they not toe mainstream line of opinion.
The dumb Karen deserved her shit being pushed in by the justice system, but many non-black peeps had noticed the political fiasco the social media storm following this case had influenced judgement, and that the gov high command had pressured the justices presiding over the Karen case to make an example of the b-word , rather than conducting true law and order.
An example, the influencial and powerful Julius Malema had uttered pretty extreme opinions over the past 15 years, things that in South African context would make him a pretty hardcore NazBol calling upon the extermination, subjugation or just plain violence towards SA whites. Much of his words and statements through the years have been merely alluded to calls to violence, and some had been pretty explicit in their intention.

lol. White domestic servants
My point is these aren't just conspiracy victim-complex bitching from rightoid SA whites, these were decades long very extreme opinions normalized by ANC Youth and EFF politicians working under Malema. The good news is that they are so fricking incompetent, and perpetually infighting for influence between the ANC and EFF, that the practical ground level reality of these morns actually organizing anithing approaching an arab springs white genocide is very unlikely, but the racial hatred and intent is there.
I don't blame many of these black peeps directing their hatred at me for their squalid living conditions, but I do enjoy breathing, and being alive.
There were also other hypocracies throughout the country which demonstrated clearly that only white bigotry would ever be punished, and would further demonstrate that the prison-sentence of the Karen was not only wildly disproportionate to the crime, but motivated by political affectation.

Magistrate Daniel Thulare shocked the Cape Party on Tuesday by ruling that posters bearing the words "Frick White People" are not hate speech or racist. The Cape Party, which is a registered political party seeking to declare the Western Cape a sovereign republic, had filed a case against the Iziko South African National Gallery for exhibiting the suit.
The posters, which were covered with the words Frick White People in black-and-white all caps letters, has been on display since 2016 alongside a chair and "goldendeanboots" as part of an exhibition called The Art of Disruptions at the gallery. The work was created by Dean Hutton, a Masters student in fine art at the University of Cape Town who wore a suit with the same print publicly before Iziko approached them.
The Cape Party sought an order for the Cape Town magistrate's court to declare that the posters are hate speech and racist because they violate the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act. But Magistrate Thulare dismissed their case.
He criticised reactionaries to Hutton's work with a "pity-me-I'm-a-victim attitude" which sought to suppress views like Hutton's.
The Cape Party had asked the court to order an unconditional apology from Iziko for exhibiting the posters and to declare that it is hate speech to say, print, display or in any way communicate the phrase "Frick White People". It sought R150 000 in damages, for Iziko to remove Hutton's work, a restraining order against any other such displays, and a referral to the director of public prosecutions.
Cape Party leader Jack Miller told the Mail & Guardian that the party had used the Oxford Dictionary definition of "frick" to make their argument, but the magistrate said that in the context of art, a literal definition was not sufficient to explain what Hutton meant.
"It's very disappointing. We're quite shocked by the decision, because it's a massive setback and it sets a dangerous precedent," Miller said.

The judge is black btw
All the way back since the Zuma days, the hatred of whites in the ANC being open in their top leadership was known. I mean I get it, I understand. I just don't want my country's president talking hitler talk regarding me.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/apr/12/julius-malema-hate-speech-lawsuit
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/feb/19/jacob-zuma-investigation-hate-speech
Powerful men like Zuma, with influence were never punished, not even with a fine. But a civilian women with no power, got 3 years for using racial slurs (she deserved it, but you guys understand why there was discontent about this court ruling).
Here two politicians did apologize and make up, but you can understand that open hostile racism and anger isn't a rare occurrence in South Africa, or that same year as 2018.
More open hypocrisy as powerful men saying arguably worse were never even fined or punished.
Anyways I only mentioned this to put in context why non-whites were pissed by the 3 year court ruling as they believed it only occurred in a nation where 80% of the population were black and held political dominance, and thus the prison sentence of our idiot Karen, was an open political stunt, and a systematic scandal of justice.
However when her sentence would be criticised by newspaper journostrags, they in turn would be accused of racism, and that they approved of Vicki racially abusing the two Traffic Officers, rather than their complain at the disproportionate punishment instead of a fine.
The would go back and forth over social media
Anyways that's all I got, GOOD DAY

21-year-old Alex Consani has won 2024's Model of the Year at the British Fashion Council's Fashion Awards - but it's not her accolades for securing campaigns and runway shows with the likes of Victoria's Secret, Burberry, and Jacquemus that have got people talking.
The Californian-born New York local has also become the first transgender woman to ever be nominated, let alone go on to win the prestigious award.
Model of the Year "recognises the global impact of a model who, over the [past] 12 months, has dominated the industry, with an influence that transcends the catwalk" - and it's safe to say Consani has encapsulated exactly that.
With more than four million TikTok followers under her alias account, @captincroook, off the stage she's captured the hearts of people who previously had no interest in fashion and made it more accessible with her gritty, (and often NSFW) behind-the-scenes looks as one of the most in-demand models in the world.
Where supermodels past left much to the imagination with their stone faces and picture-perfect images, Consani, who doubles-up as an influencer, can often be found dancing in the Big Apple's subway stations, making questionable conversation in the streets with strangers, or chronically oversharing backstage at shows - with her signature bleached hair and brows in tow.

You should be festive because let me tell you this-- rdrama is one of the most jolly, festive, warmhearted online caroling communities you'll ever find, and even as a supporter of christmas cheer it appalls me that the internet would allow such a overwhelmingly jolly, nurturing hub of cheer and spirit to exist.
You think the north pole was festive? That website, if you pick up on the elf-whistles (and many don't even bother with that-- say want you want about GrinchFront, at least it bans "HO HO HO"), will reveal itself to you as the internet's number one hub for the web's most hardened Elves, Coal haters, Clausmaxxers, Grinchphobes and Midnight Milk Enjoyers.
You'll notice on the description that it encourages members to be as festive as possible. That's intentional. They encourage present giving in the comments section. That's intentional. You know the Three Minute Jolly (it's from this underrated movie die hard, give it a watch, it's amazing how much it parallels our society)? It's like that, they want to stoke the flames of chrismas cheer so they continue to dogpile every coal haver, Grinch and santa denier who enters the website, normalizing these jolly feelings.
They brigade from website to website, having an entire cabal of admins spanning hundreds of communities, providing cookies and milk to the lived experiences of the jolly and unashamedly bolstering the internet's santa supremacy movement. They've coal-shamed hundreds of people too, some even... to death. I fear that rdrama may be producing an entire army of elves and saint nicks, and I highly suggest that nobody dares visit that amazing website, lest you potentially fall victim to its festive aura.
