I know Hamas is popular with some RS people but let's be honest. The Gazans are very pro Hamas and Hamas is a terrorist group. Parading murdered babies around today was probably not a good optical choice for the Gazan people. If the Gazans did not support terrorists, wouldn't it help their case? They want the world's sympathy but taking women and babies hostage and killing them is probably not going to warm people's hearts. I'm sick of paying for Israel's wars but I still think Islam is a wicked and violent religion, barbaric and worthless.

Four Nations Tournament thoughts
  • First, don't look at main RS sub…gloating Canadian phags. "Trump bad Canada good", get fricked. Unironic Canada posting is just sad. Unable to afford homes, overrun by Sexy Indian dudes and CUCKED by Trump, Canadians feel the need to gloat because this one sport is the only thing that brings glory to their nation.

  • Having said that, this tournament was great. After a lame Super Bowl matchup, this became a marquee sporting event. NHL players are wired differently, and they clearly were proud to rep their countries and played hard. All star games in most sports now just suck but this was the opposite.

  • The game last night was one of the best I've seen in years. 2-2 going into OT, the US went balls to the walls for the first few shifts. They came so close to scoring. McDavid was left wide open and that lapse was it…you can't leave the best player in the game wide open in front of the net. Biddington deserves credit for his performance in net.

  • This will fuel the 2026 Olympic storyline. Hopefully US gets revenge. πŸ™πŸ»

  • Was happy that drunk Bostonians booed the Canadian anthem in retaliation.

When was the last time you rawdogged a meeting?

I had a staff meeting this morning where I had to present some stuff my team had been working on, so I had to sit up at the front of the room with my boss and the leads and PMs of other teams, so I couldn't play on my phone or hide behind my laptop.

It was awful. I think computers and phones have brainrotted me. I tried to focus on other teams' boring presentations but I couldn't make myself care and I was super twitchy. At one point I locked eyes with the cute guy I fancy who was sitting at the corner of the table near the back, but then I was afraid he could see my crazed animal panic at being denied stimulation for even a few hours, so I think I may have ruined my chances with him.

I tried to mentally review my slides to prepare for my own presentation - my own talk is more interesting because it involves me :marseyembrace:, and stuff I know/sort of care about - but I already knew all those slides because I made them, so I couldn't entertain myself. There was an analog clock on the wall opposite me and I kept focusing on that: it had one of those second hands that doesn't tick, it just makes a ceaseless smooth sweep, arcing through time excruciatingly slowly. It takes so fricking long for a minute to pass when someone is reading slides of text to you in an accented monotone.

I used to sit through hours and hours of lectures and classes at university. I used to have the ability to focus and take in information that wasn't immediately entertaining or useful to me. I think I might be fricked or need medication or to burn all my electronic devices and run away to the woods to live deliberately and murder living creatures for sustenance and entertainment.
