For context, if you use the progressive stack award, your posts are (temporarily) treated as if they have 2x their actual upmarseys. This was thought of as so powerful by the jannies that it costs 1500 coins for just 6 hours. Now, if you make a post that gets 140 upmarseys, and at the same time someone makes an 
effortpost that gets 30 upmarseys, or chud ragebait that gets 50 upmarseys, your post will actually be below them on the front page. In fact, since upmarseys are basically normally distributed (getting 30 upmarseys is pretty average, getting 90 makes yours one of the top posts of the day, getting 150 would make it the top post of the day), any sort of multiplier would change the content of the front page immensely, let alone a multiplier so large it treats mediocre effortposts and slightly above average chud ragebait as superior to the actual top post as chosen by users.
The fact that /h/chudrama is blocked by default is irrelevant, because most active users have it unblocked, so even if you block /h/chudrama every post you make is still effectively being deranked. GENEVA, Feb 7 (Reuters) - More than six million people could die from HIV and AIDS in the next four years if U.S. President Donald Trump's administration pulls its global funding for programmes, the United Nations AIDS agency said on Friday.
Although a waiver was placed on HIV/AIDS programmes in last month's U.S. foreign aid funding freeze, many concerns remained about the future of treatment programmes, the deputy executive director of UNAIDS told reporters in Geneva.
"There is a lot of confusion especially on the community level, how the waiver will be implemented. We're seeing a lot of disruption of delivery of treatment services", Christine Stegling said.
Trump put hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of foreign aid donations on hold for 90 days upon taking office on January 20. In the following days, the U.S. State Department issued a waiver on the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) - the world's leading HIV initiative - for life-saving humanitarian assistance.
While welcoming the waiver, Stegling stressed the situation remains chaotic.
Amid a broader decline of funding, Stegling warned there would be a 400% increase in AIDS deaths if PEPFAR financial support is not re-authorized between 2025 and 2029.
"That's 6.3 million people, 6.3 million AIDS-related deaths that will occur in future...Any penny, any cut, any pause, will matter for all of us" she said, urging U.N. member states to step in.
"In Ethiopia, we have 5,000 public health worker contracts that are funded by U.S. assistance. And all of these have been terminated," Stegling said.
She highlighted that community clinics were facing the biggest interruption as they are "entirely dependent" on U.S. government funding.
She expressed concern that some people may not come forward for treatment, which could in turn increase new HIV infections.
U.S. donations account for the majority of global funding for the U.N. programme that operates in 70 countries, leading global efforts to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.
Trump's administration says it is reviewing all foreign-aid programmes to see if they align with his "America First" policy.

Yes, you have to escalate each report individually. No, you cannot fire them from the feed or the mod queue with your own account.
I use a very simple auto moderator script to alert the whole team when one mod is under attack, so that we can cover for each other.

I moderate /r/veteranpolitics. As you can imagine, everything you do is a lose/lose. Unfortunately, I have had multiple reports on my account for hate based speech across the sub. You guys are more than welcome to crawl through it and make judgement, but it's just on moderation comments. I've had people putting me in a position where rule 3 is possibly being violated as well as actual hate speech that I'm removing. It's happening over multiple posts at this point and is consistent. I know it's suggested to send a report through the report feature, but do I need to send every post/comment individually or can I send a report in general. The issue is I'm at about 10-15 hate based reports so I know I'm gonna get clapped by AEO at some poi

So I make breastmilk and memorial jewelry and there's a big company in China that manufactures the jewelry. There's actually even a really big well known brand that's I've seen that uses their jewelry and lots of smaller businesses do too. I've looked and looked and LOOKED to find something else but there's nothing like them.
My husband is a Trump guy even though he says he doesn't like him. We've had discussions about the tariffs and he's saying that it's corrective to bring jobs back to the US.

This is normal jannie stuff, but it was extremely dramatic. There are two separate themes to focus on:
1. Wailing and gnashing of teeth from deranged redditors personally affected by the apparent invasion of suburban Illinois from agents of the third reich. It's the same shit you see in any local sub so I'm not going to waste time on it.
2. The OP of the second bierstube post defending their honor. This also bleeds into the SRD thread I linked in the last section and leads to some very entertaining threads between a self-described maniaposter and legions of God's stupidest soldiers.
The post also seems to have struck a chord with our hero, who makes an impassioned plea to stamp out the nazi.
I was born in Chicago. I've lived my whole life growing up around here. There are a couple of issues being conflated here IMO.
There are a lotta fucking Nazis living in this place, and they need to be called out. There is no reason to associate your business or your person with the swastika, or "WWII-era German history". Posts calling them out are okay within reason (see examples 2 & 3).
Example 1 is a nazi troll. I'm not sure if they're some kid from the north shore looking for attention, or a Russian bot, or just one of the owners trying to astroturf, but that post was rightfully locked down.
Example 4 is a news story. I'm personally (probably) safe, but the a story about rich kid sociopaths from NT or GBN going out and committing hate-crimes is alarming, and should not be dismissed. Hopefully discussions about those stories can be productive and lead to positive changes for everyone involved.
I think that we should not be advocating for violence against anyone, nor do I even particularly advocate in favor of bullying. But if you're "just asking questions" over and over about "how much hitler is too much hitler" because you "wanna start a discourse," you deserve to be ridiculed and mocked on the internet.
But also ban these Nazis every time they show up, please. I can't fucking stand them.

Hi as a WSU student I want to apologize for how these other commenters treated you. I also want us both to remember that this subreddit is only the WSU students who use reddit regularly, not the majority of the university.
WSU is in a small town in a conservative area with a majority of white students and faculty. There are racists, xenophobes, and homophobes here. They are not the majority of students by any means. But because of the majority-ness of the whiteness, straightness, and cisness here, they are allowed to get away with a lot more than would be allowed at a different university in a different area. I love this school and have found a wonderful and large community of other students and faculty that have my back and that are anti-racist/anti_phobic, so I haven't experienced many issues here. But ignoring the problems of a PWI and brushing them off is also stupid.
