What's going on?
A handful of subs are collaborating to protest mass immigration in Canada on July 1st.
The subs are /r/takebackcanada, /r/stopindianimmigration (lol) and /r/CanadaHousing2
The first two have been banned from preddit (duh)
The pushback
A bunch of currycels from /r/SouthAsianMasculinity created a sub, /r/MapleMaga, to mass report anyone talking about the protest
They have been appealing to /r/canadaleft and other commie subs for support of their "movement"
They privated /r/SouthAsianMasculinity after it was revealed that their sub was full of incels
Despite setbacks, the movement continues to grow
Information regarding the protest was recently shared by True North journ*list Harrison Faulkner on xitter
A counter-protest against the indian intl. students protesting in Charlottetown was organized by two guys and reposted by PPC leader Bernier
The opposition are shooting themselves in the foot
- Recently, in response to the success of protestors in Winnipeg, poos have organized in Browntown to demand extended work permits. Just because, you know, they want them.
This has obviously not been well-received by Canadians who are experiencing the side effects of several years of increasingly unregulated immigration
The response of many jeets to online criticism has been what one would expect of the typical ego-inflated thirdie:
I better see all of you kkklanadians out in the streets on July 1st.

!bookworms !classics come check this out
Plato. Not particularly fond of him.
Lmao
Freud, Sigmund. A figure of fun. Loathe him. Vile deceit. Freudian interpretation of dreams is charlatanic, and satanic, nonsense.
Why should I tolerate a perfect stranger at the bedside of my mind? I may have aired this before but I'd like to repeat that I detest not one but four doctors: Dr. Freud, Dr. Zhivago, Dr. Schweitzer, and Dr. Castro. Of course, the first takes the fig, as the fellows say in the dissecting-room. I've no intention to dream the drab middle-class dreams of an Austrian crank with a shabby umbrella. . . . The Freudian racket looks to me as much of a farce as the jumbo thingum of polished wood with a polished hole in the middle which doesn't represent anything except the gaping face of the Philistine who is told it is a great sculpture produced by the greatest living caveman.
Also @JimieWhales someone agrees with you on Hemingway and Conrad
Hemingway is certainly the better of the two; he has at least a voice of his own and is responsible for that delightful, highly artistic short story, βThe Killers.β And the description of the iridescent fish and rhythmic urination in his famous fish story is superb. But I cannot abide Conrad's souvenir-shop style, bottled ships and shell necklaces of romanticist clichΓ©s. In neither of those two writers can I find anything that I would care to have written myself. In mentality and emotion, they are hopelessly juvenile, and the same can be said of some other beloved authors, the pets of the common room, the consolation and support of graduate students, such asβbut some are still alive, and I hate to hurt living old boys while the dead ones are not yet buried.
Or
As to Hemingway, I read him for the first time in the early 40s, something about bells, balls and bulls, and loathed it.
Then on Dostoevsky
Dostoevsky, Fyodor. Dislike him. A cheap sensationalist, clumsy and vulgar. A prophet, a claptrap journ*list and a slapdash comedian. Some of his scenes are extraordinarily amusing. Nobody takes his reactionary journ*lism seriously.
The Double. His best work, though an obvious and shameless imitation of Gogol's "Nose."
The Brothers Karamazov. Dislike it intensely.
Crime and Punishment. Dislike it intensely. Ghastly rigmarole.
Then Camus, Sastre and Faulkner
Faulkner, William. Dislike him. Writer of corncobby chronicles. To consider them masterpieces is an absurd delusion. A nonentity, means absolutely nothing to me.
Sartre, Jean-Paul. Even more awful than Camus. Nausea. Second-rate. A tense-looking but really very loose type of writing.
on the last one, but I like Camus.
What about the authors he likes?
He likes James Joyce, Kafka, Tolstoy, Borges and Bely.
He names βUlyssesβ, βThe Metamorphosisβ and βPetersburgβ as the greatest pieces of literature of the 20th century. βPetersburgβ looks quite interesting by the way.
Pasternak, Boris. An excellent poet, but a poor novelist.
Doctor Zhivago. Detest it. Melodramatic and vilely written. To consider it a masterpiece is an absurd delusion. Pro-Bolshevist, historically false. A sorry thing, clumsy, trivial, melodramatic, with stock situations and trite coincidences.
!anticommunists thoughts on Dr. Zhivago? Even if only the movie?

CNN announced the rules and additional details for its June 27 presidential debate, setting the stage for the event less than two weeks away.
Notable details include the absence of a studio audience, muted microphones except when a candidate is given time to speak, and each candidate's presence at a uniform podium. No props or pre-written notes will be allowed on the stage, though candidates will be given a pen, a pad of paper, and a bottle of water.
The moderators, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, βwill use all tools at their disposal to enforce timing and ensure a civilized discussion,β according to the network.
The network also mused about who will qualify for the debates, saying it is unlikely for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the independent presidential candidate, to qualify for the debate, saying βThough not impossible in Kennedy's case, it is less likely that candidates other than Biden and Trump will meet those requirements.β
The network says RFK Jr. has three of the four required qualifying polls and has ballot access equivalent to 89 of the 270 electoral votes requirement. He has until June 20 to add another poll showing him at 15% or higher and an additional 181 electoral votes through ballot access in those states.
The most notable requirement is the absence of a studio audience, which is unusual for presidential debates in the general or party primaries. The detail was the Biden camp's idea, with campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon saying they wanted to avoid raucous crowds for viewers' benefit.
βThe debates should be conducted for the benefit of the American voters, watching on television and at home β not as entertainment for an in-person audience with raucous or disruptive partisans and donors, who consume valuable debate time with noisy spectacles of approval or jeering,β Dillon wrote in a May letter.
President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have already agreed to the 90-minute debate rules, and will be allowed two breaks amid their likely verbal combat. As for the other details, muted mics was a stipulation included in a 2020 debate, and Trump has pushed for the candidates to stand at podiums, in a likely assumption Biden will be more uncomfortable, against the Biden campaign's suggestion to sit.
There will be at least one more presidential debate as ABC is hosting a debate on Sept. 10, not long before early voting begins in the general election. Trump leads by 1.1% in 538's national polling average.

I've seen a lot of posts lately about people talking about their NextFest or Summer steam event experiences. The vast majority of people saying it does nothing, but when I look at their game, it legitimately looks worse than the flash games people were making when I was in middle school.
This (image) is one of the top games on a top post right now (name removed) about someone saying NextFest has done nothing for them despite 500k impressions. This looks just awful. And it's not unique. 80%+ of the games I see linked in here look like that have absolutely 0 visual effort.
You can't put out this level of quality and then complain about lack of interest. Indie devs get a bad rap because people are just churning out asset flips or low effort garbage like this and expecting people to pay money for it.
NextFest is a Steam event where they highlight upcoming indie games and devs release demos of their games so people can try them out. Every other post on the subreddit has been "why isn't my shitty game getting any attention" and their game looks like this:

Context
/r/AlternateHistory is exactly what it sounds like on the tin, a subreddit for alternate history scenarios.
We start this drama with the OP posting the first part of their oddly-conservative alt-hist series titled βThe Second American Civil War According to Reddit Part 1: Electionβ, which tries to detail how Reddit would react to Trump being forcibly taken off the ballot due to an executive order made by Joe Biden that would bar felons from running for office.
This post gets taken down, as it was originally considered to be not alternate history.
This causes lots of folks to come out of the woodwork in AlternateHistory, pooping all over the moderators, which can be seen in theseposts, along with the latest posts on OP's profile.
The matter does get solved though, with the mod Coniuratos explaining that he removed the first post because they thought it was made to just politically mudsling, with the top mod of /r/AlternateHistory removing succeeding posts in the series, which got undeleted by the mods as well.
TL/DR: OP of a conservative alt-hist series got most of /r/AlternateHistory on their side due to questionable mod actions.

The problem is online dating. Men are now competing with a much much higher number of men. Meaning after a few swipes, women will always find men who are above average tall. 5'9 is a fine height, you're very likely to be taller than a woman anyways, but if you can decide between 5'9 or 6'1, women are most often going to just give the 6'1 guys a chance. If it doesn't work out, they keep swiping until they find the next one. This combined with the fact that social media praises the magic number 6'0 and tells women to "not settle for less than your standards" is enough to make them chase only above average men in online dating. I advise anyone who is looking for a serious relationship to go outside and touch grass so you don't have to compete with a whole city of men, especially when you're short (14)
