Everytime I enter REM state during sleep I experience nightmares and immediately wake up. So despite sleeping 8 hours with excellent deep sleep which allows me to recover physically, mentally I feel like worse waking up than going to sleep.
Only cope thus far has been dude weeding it up before going to sleep cause I usually don't dream when I do that. Any other suggestions how I keep myself from bullying me in my head every night?

Don't exercise right before you sleep r-slur. You should have an hour to wind down post work out before you sleep.

According to a study, exercise right before bed every day is STILL better than a life without exercise. Still the worst form but you've gotta move around.

Every dream of mine ends up being some sort of abandonment scenario. I don't need a fricking psychiatrist to tell me I'm afraid of dying alone.

Nightmares are fun as frick you should try them sometime, I get to experience something exhilarating like being a fugitive wanted for murder or fighting off monsters, then in the next instant I'm comfy in bed and realize all my problems were made up

Find a therapist who specializes in EMDR, it will help you get over whatever is waking you up and help you learn how to simulate REM sleep

Yes!!! Me too. I think it's because I'm not learning or relaxing enough. We need to have mentally engaging things to occupy us during the day and make us feel hopeful. It would also help with the desperate desire for love too I hope. No totally sure of a path to get there. good luck to you, I'm doing my best too.
