In a bizarre turn of events, a university dormitory in China went up in flames after a student, in a moment of panic, set fire to his s*x doll to keep it hidden from his roommates. The incident took place at Hefei University of Technology in Anhui province on February 10, when the student, fearing exposure, made a rash decision that nearly resulted in disaster.

Huge time investment, by the way.
It's a huge time investment you have to invest the time.
Technical.
Technicals.
It's technical. Technique. Technical technique technicals.
You have to invest the time, invest huge time, to learn the technical technique.

Nothing says 'I'm not an antisemite' like spouting Holocaust revisionism completely unprompted.
I think she thougth me saying 'Ashkenazi' was a reference to Nazis because she doesn't know that that's how it's actually spelled.
She also believes that Trump is Jewish because only jews are allowed to wear a kippah

AITA for continuously triggering her trypophobia?
(Trypophobia is an intense and disproportionate fear or disgust for holes, bumps, or patterns that are clustered together or repetitive)
(aka r-slurred)
I (19F
) have had acne for so long that I honestly can't remember my skin without it. I used to wear a lot of concealer to cover it up, but that only made things worse. Eventually, I realized my skin was controlling my life (and draining my bank account 💀), so when I started at a new school, I decided to stop wearing makeup
. My skin still isn't great, but I'm on medication, so I have some hope that it will improve.
Here's the problem: There's a girl in my class, let's call her Callie (18F
), who has trypophobia [is r-slurred]. I had no idea until we were put in a group together. The moment I spoke to her, she started crying. Naturally, I asked what was wrong, and she screamed at me that my face was triggering her trypophobia
. Her friends immediately jumped in to comfort her
while I just sat there, confused, wondering if I was supposed to apologize for my skin, something I obviously didn't choose to have
.
When I tried to speak again, she told me to shut up and leave because I was "
drawing attention to myself by talking.
" I asked what she expected me to do about it, and she said I could at least wear concealer. I explained that it wasn't an option because it's expensive
and just worsens my acne. Her friends glared at me and called me selfish
.
That was just the first incident. Ever since, anytime I sit near Callie or have to present in front of the class, she starts dry heaving or crying
(having a panic attack?)
. It's disrupting lessons so much that my teacher pulled me aside and asked if I could just wear concealer for the sake of keeping the peace. She admitted it wasn't fair but said she couldn't think of another solution.
I already feel like such a freak because of my skin. I know my skin is horrid,
but why am I the one expected to cater to Callie? I didn't choose to have acne any more than she chose to have trypophobia. I can't help but feel like I'm being unfairly treated here, but at the same time, I know she can't control her reaction either.
So… AITA? Should I just wear the darn concealer?

I couldn't even tell you the names of any of them. I've never even played as Donkey Kong in Smash or Mario Kart because he's the BIPOC of the Mario universe and sucks.
Carp doesn't want you to know this, but this is what Donkey Kong actually looks like
We should get rid of Donkey Kong December. We should get rid of White Women Wednesdays and just have Wario Wednesdays instead. Look at him

These don't have to be explicitly political. Just something that can be applied to our politics. Unfortunately while the writing in Madoka Magica is top tier and the story makes me feel in ways that few other forms of media can, it does not do politics very well which is why I took my favorite quote from a series that is actually based around geopolitics.
In a way this quote truly encapsulates the condition of our current political system, and in a way it mirrors the shinobi world quite well. For example we don't get to choose our sides. People act like we get a choice but there just are not many options. For example like the shinobi, we are given a village, a country. And that country can be segmented down into clans, families, and many other forms of allegiances. All of these are decided entirely by the nature of our own birth, rather than our own choices.
We are guided only by the necessity to make the most prudent choice. We are expected to be part of the group and sacrifice our entire being for its benefit. Like the shinobi each one of us is little more than a tool to be discarded when we are no longer useful. Is that not the way things should be?
Anyways, I'm excited to see your favorite anime quotes that can be applied to political systems! If anyone finds away to do this with the Madoka Magica series please let me know! I have been trying to find a way for years but it just doesn't seem to fit.

I bought a 400/5.6L which will give me long reach to shoot wild raccoons, birds, butts, cars racing and boats. On my Canon R5 I can also shoot in crop mode which will give me a 1.6x multiplier without losing light like you would using the 1.4x teleconverter.
But here's the stupid part.
I've been really getting into video lately and most of my lenses aren't geared towards that. I have the following.
TS-E 17/4 - Manual focus, ultra wide architectural lens. Smooth focusing but you have to do it by hand.
TS-E 24/3.5IIL - Manual focus, wide architectural lens. Smooth focusing but you have to do it by hand.
EF 16-35/4L IS - Ultrawide zoom, great for video but with a stiff zoom ring which sucks because the camera ends up twisting when you try and pull a zoom
EF 17-40/4L IS - My first "expensive" lens, great sharpness and smooth but light zoom ring.
TS-E 45/2.8 - Manual focus, normal architectural lens. Smooth focusing but you have to do it by hand.
EF 50/1.4 - A really great, normal lens if you're shooting stills, but has an archaic autofocus motor that's too slow to keep up with video.
EF 85/1.8 - Great short telephoto lens with fast focus and great low-light capabilities.
TS-E 90/2.8 - Manual focus, telephoto architectural lens. Smooth focusing but you have to do it by hand.
EF 70-200/4L IS - Great for shooting video but only for tight spots. The largest lens I can balance out on my gimbal.
I had the 17-40/4L first and when I got into video, I thought I should have an ultra wide zoom with image stabilization, thinking it would work in concert with the cameras in-body stabilization. I was wrong. It's one or the other. So the upgrade to the 16-35 was for naught. In fact, I like using the 17-40 more, since the zoom ring is very low resistance and it's much lighter weight (not that I'm a kitty, it's just easier to balance on my gimbal).
Some of the more photography-knowledgeable people here are going to realize what I'm missing - a good mid-range zoom lens, like a 24-70mm. Especially since I've been doing a lot of documentary style filming and plan on continuing my Geezer Group doc this summer. Otherwise I have to be constantly switching lenses while trying to capture things in the moment, between the 17-40, 50, and 70-200. So what I'm saying is, I should've bought that. However, it still feels kind of redundant being a focal length I already have covered with other lenses, while the 400mm is something fresh and new. Especially after running into the limitations of the 70-200 during my recent trip to Florida while trying to film boats from the shore.
Was buying the 400mm a mistake? Probably in the short run, but I can always save up and buy a midrange zoom sometime this spring. I have money, but I can only access a little bit of it each month and there are a lot of things I want and need.
I dunno.

I'm a petty beefy guy. Have been for most of my adult life. I'm changing my eating and hitting the gym again to get healthy, but I don't think I'll ever be super thin again.
There seem to be a decent amount of men who find plus size women sexy, which I think is fantastic. But as a man, I can't say that my experience has been proportional or at all similar. Outside of fetish communities, I've not encountered a woman who was sincerely attracted to someone with my body type, and thats... hard.
I don't want to be a fetish. I don't want to be in a feeder-type relationship. I want to be healthy, but I also accept that healthiness for me might still be a hefty body type. The BHM communities I've found on reddit are very sexually oriented. I'm not here to kink shame anyone, but that's just not me.
I'm a man with a deep capacity for love and connection. I'm very connected to my feelings and really would like to find a meaningful relationship based on mutual interest, attraction, and compatible personalities.
I just don't know where to find women who would be interested in dating a guy like me. The apps are out. So are the popular dating sites. I just feel like modern dating isn't made for the plus sized man.
Does anyone have some good advice for me? I'm a 46 year old man, who at this point, is kind of at a loss.
