Over the last few days, we've seen an increase in content in several communities that violate Reddit Rules. Reddit communities are places for civil discussion and are one of the few places online where people can exchange ideas and perspectives. We want to ensure that they continue to be a place for healthy debate no matter the topic. Debate and dissent are welcome on Reddit—threats and doxing are not.

When we identify communities experiencing an increase in rule-violating content, we are taking the following steps as needed:

Reaching out to moderators to ensure they have the support they need, including turning on safety cowtools, reminding mods of our rules, or offering additional moderation support

Adding a popup to remind users before visiting that subreddit of Reddit's Rules

In some cases, placing a temporary ban on the community for 72 hours to enable us to engage with moderation teams and review and remove violating content

Currently /r/WhitePeopleTwitter is under a temporary ban. This means that you will not be able to access this community during this cooling-off period while we work with the mods to ensure it is a safe place for discussion.

We will continue to monitor and reach out to communities experiencing a surge in violative content and will take the necessary actions noted above to ensure all communities can provide a safe environment for healthy conversation.

After a little over two years since getting banned from IncelTear for the grooming allegations, St Doogycel attempted to return on his new alt account: Barleficus2000. That name alone exposed itself as Doogycel's alt. Detectivecels found an abandoned World of Warcraft forum profile belonging to Doogycel, where he mentioned his character name is Barleficus. However, the final nail in the coffin was when Lord Doogycel bragged about his old comics and lied about the circumstances he was banned for. As subtle as a brick, fellow IT users realized this was him and he was canned shortly after. Since he wasn't suspended for ban evasion (yet), Lord Doogycel is still active on that profile, acting like nothing happened.

Your opening few paragraphs do a good job of setting the stage, but there are a few places where the prose could be cleaned up. For example, you mention Starry Hallow I think three times right off the bat.

Context: The annual Tata Steel chess tournament is going on. It's generally the first big event of the year, and consists of two invitational tournaments (the Masters section, consisting of top players, and the Challengers section, consisting of younger up-and-coming players) as well as multiple tournaments for amateurs. This incident occurred in the challengers section, between Uzbek grandmaster Nodirbek Yakubboev and Indian grandmaster Vaishali Rameshbabu. When Yakubboev arrived at the board, his opponent extended her hand to shake (you do this before a chess game). Instead of shaking her hand, however, Yakubboev seemingly declined with a hand gesture and sat down. He also didn't offer his hand when he resigned at the end of the game (there's videos in the reddit post).

Here's what I did. I called my congressional representative (R) hoping to leave a message but instead his staff picked up. I awkwardly stumbled my way through why I think Elon Musk is insanity. The fishies look so anatomically incorrect and you can sort of see how they would one day evolve into the more common designs we are used to now. Evolution is so cool what's crazy is that those lifeforms took 100s of millions of years to get from what is in the animation to the life we see around us today.

Based on how much more complex life is today I believe the current era is the most complex in terms of the amount of diversity of life on the planet at a time. In my opinion evolution is also speeding up because look at how much more simpler life forms get the further back in time one goes.

I bet if humans went extinct, it would barely take 10 million years for the planet to evolve another life form as smart as humans.

I think that is a fascinating theory that most sci fi does not pursue often. That maybe there is a time period in a planet's evolutionary history where it can produce intelligent lifeforms, and once it gets there, it keeps pumping out smarter life forms over time forever until the death of the planet.

Like humans took 100s of thousands of years to evolve from their ancestor species. Perhaps the other apes that are still around will take far less time to get to our level, and the next group after them take ever less time, because evolutionary complexity and adaptability keeps going up the longer you leave a life form running till the heat death of the universe.

That's just a theory on my part though. Still cool.
