It's time to dispel the myth once and for all that there is any good faith concern for the well being these “innocent women” who are legal adults choosing to sleep with older men. It has been going on since the beginning of time, and I suppose bitter shrews always had something to say about it but suddenly thanks to the internet we all have to hear it.

They have come up with all of these bizarre talking points to support their fervid stance, yet they are all equally nonsensical.

• “we were that girl at one point, we know better and are trying to save them”

• “legal adult women's brains aren't fully developed and therefore they are incapable of making informed decisions. Only for this one specific issue though, they are perfectly capable of voting, smoking cancer causing cigarettes and going to war.”

• “men only target these women for aforementioned naivety and vulnerability, it has absolutely zero to do with this coincidentally being the time when they are at peak female attractiveness.”

However I'm black and I'm not sure how I would be treated in a smaller town. I wouldn't want to become a target for racist abuse. I've had quite a few racist encounters in small Alberta towns while passing through on road trips. Is BC similar? What are some towns to avoid?

This past weekend me (25F) and my boyfriend (36M) of one year

The security guard scans my boyfriend with a metal detector and my boyfriend told him he carries a knife on him for work and the dude was like “nah you guys can't enter with that” then this other lady security guard came out kind of aggressively saying things like “you gotta go” “where did you park” “we got cameras we'll be watching you” as if my boyfriend was about to stab someone right then and there. My boyfriend decided to tell the lady off as we turn around to leave.

As we keep walking the lady goes closer to the fence to watch us and keep telling us to leave and my bf was like “frick off don't fricking talk to me” gives her the finger and making a scene. I was like “babe chill out we're going so let's not get into more shit” then he goes off on ME like “stop being a kitty what are they gonna do”

He carries a knife and is quick to anger around a lot of people including security guards. That's a huge no for me.

This sounds like a heckin racism.

As a 33 year old construction worker and a guy that has carried a knife daily for the last 19 years, this dude has problems and I wouldn't trust him. I've lost a few knives to security checkpoints before because I just don't think about the fact that I'm carrying a knife. I've also talked to security guards and told them "hey I forgot about this, is it cool if I go put it in the car and you search me when I come back?" Generally, this works. Specifically, it's worked at six flags, busch gardens, the Kennedy center, and at a Marine checkpoint.

It's just a knife. Your guy is telling you what he's really like, and you need to listen to that before something bad happens. Carrying isn't for everyone. Sounds like this dude shouldn't have weapons.

I'm not questioning that moms do more with their kids at the airport/on planes…but I travel enough (heck most people travel enough) to think this person is being a bit hyperbolic.

I fly for work at least twice a month, and usually dads appear to be doing a lot of the kid stuff. They aren't just casually lounging on their own while moms do all the work.

Have this white male 30 yr old "friend" who loves to tote about how supports equal rights /black rights /women's rights and up until now 's honestly been pretty convincing. But lately 's been saying/doing some things that have me raising an eyebrow.

For one, almost exclusively dates black women , and and by "date" I mean casually has s*x with because 's unemployed /has no money and has essentially nothing to offer these women, but 's convinced that they want a long-term relationship with . says it's because they align best with politically and that 's "usually not into white women " because of that.

And then yesterday, I was talking to him yesterday about feminism and I told I didn't think it was possible for a man to be "feminist " while actively objectifying women by watching 6 hours of porn every day (which does). responded by saying, "well WE [feminists] don't agree with that . Do you know what a SWERF is?"
