It's not dramatic to mention it, but if you actually check the thread, they're students, and this was basically a school project that got turned into a commercial release. That alone actually explains a lot of what went wrong here, there's a lot of mistakes you'd probably not encounter in a proper dev studio.

yeah, I was about to post that I think he's depressed too and likely will be extremely depressed at 40. This place makes fun of females for never getting married and having kids and then being sad, but men can go through a really depressed stage at 40 if they are unhappy. I think he's feeling older and would like to have a nice gf and such but has no motivation to fix things.
But like you said, the problem is intensified from his likely social anxiety. He has a ton of money so isn't fricked financially. Has celebrity on Twitch. Has a lot of what people want but is missing a whole nuther side of life that he probably would like to have but won't ever get if he doesn't get motivated to fix himself and his house.
Also, I notice it in xqc too. Xqc is trying desperately to stay cool with the 15 year old kids, but he's aging and hasn't let it go yet. I feel like admitting to being paid to shove shitty indie games down their viewers' throats would be more headaches so they avoid it. Even xqc hasn't openly admitted that he only streams on Kick for his contract and likely he gets a bonus for a stream count when he does.
