Eli Roth made a boom boom. Mike and Jay talks about Borderlands. What a misfire! Odd casting choices. No one want to make. Adult professionals pretend to "care" about characters in video game they never hear of so they can make a check to pay for their yachts and shrimp. The behind the scenes interviews where these clowns pretend to care might be the most cringe rizz eva. Jayme Loins Curtis (daughter of Bill Curtis son of King Arthur of Legend) is so old even Michael Myers is too old to kill her. Even Activa won't eat her old gut rot. She pretends to love and care about her character, Rizzo McPizzo but don't give none shts. Her net worth is 197 million dollars. Why she even work anymore? Just be grandma and let others have roles. Poor Cate Beckenblachett. Is it that hard to find good project? Tar 2: Back to the Tar Pits? You're much better than to play Ronald McDonald's sister. Kevin Hart like cash. We all know that. He sell out super bowl to tell jokes to audience of mongoloid farmers and city-folk who laugh at man on stage. He take role for cash and babbles about how he's learned so much and loved working with other actors, blah blah blah. Hart has over 500 million dollars in his bank now. Little girl who play Tiny Tim cry when she sees Rotten Tomato score. "Am I rotten?" she asks her mommy and daddy. Did I ruin the movie? No. EVERYONE ruin the movie. Especially Eli Roth. Craig Mazin said, "Take my name out you're f**king mouth!" before he slapped this film on live TV. Eli Roth left the set in a jet pack when the filming was done. The second he called action for the first time he realized it was a horrible mistake to cast numerous old ladies in the film who players of this game have never ever heard of. Should have made the cast of TikTok stars or YouTubers like the clown MrBeast. "What have I done?" he say! I ruined the legacy of this game no one has ever heard of! Whoopsie! Off to shoot Thanksgiving. Maybe making this film was a bad dream? Maybe they fix it in post. Doesn't appear to be so. This movie cost 110 million dollars to make. Sad to think that you could have made 110, one million dollar movies. So many interesting stories and ideas and Borderlands is a result of the old school Hollywood bloat and dinosaur thinking. You could have made 200 million dollars uploading a video to YouTube called "I tried all the fast foods and guess which one made me sht the most" so many people would have watched that. I'd watch that. End the madness. Art is dead.

Twisters had an 8/10 from me until the last 30 minutes of it made House of the Dragon Rhaenyra look like a basic b-word with no utility.
Girlboss. Gaslamp. Gatekeep.

Quick fun fact: Planet of the Apes is actually known in here as "Planeta dos !Macacos", which basically means "Planet of the Monkeys", for "Apes", as in, tail-less hominids, the more correct term would have been "Planeta dos Primatas", since Ape means Primate in English, but we do not have specific Portuguese words for Hominids other than Primatas or Símios, but well, "Planeta dos Macacos" is a much more catchy and marketable title! !kino

Joaquin Phoenix was shooting an independent NC-17 film in Mexico about some gay detective romance. He left the project days before shooting began.
Wow, this is such a shit move. Especially knowing that the whole film's existence was dependent on him. Unfortunately, everyone other than the star suffers consequences.
I just feel terrible for the cast and crew, imagine thinking you'll have income for the new few months only for ONE person to ruin it.
This is so incredibly selfish, like I understand not every project is a good one but…two fricking weeks before filming started? It's just insane.
I mean we have no idea the reason behind him dropping out...
idk if it's a good source, but someone close to the production told variety that he got "cold feet"
Cold feet because he was worried about portraying a gay man correctly? The graphic s*x scenes? The script? The direction? The time commitment (he has a newborn)?
Still pretty darn vague.
I'm sorry you don't drop a project two weeks before it, while knowing you are literally the only reason it's being made.
YOU CANNOT LEAVE THIS EXPLICIT GAYERINO PRODUCTION THINK ABOUT THE PRODUCTIONCELS AND SET WORKERS!
This is crazy unprofessional and haynes, like many like him, has a hard time funding his movies - no doubt the funding for this one was entirely reliant on Joaquin. This is unfair to Haynes, the crew I wonder what really happened, I don't think he's one to get 'cold feet' like variety reported.
It may be unprofessional but giving independent-cinemacels a middle-finger like that is kind of based, ngl

I'm like 20 years late but I watched this last night. It's p good. The first 2/3rds is a satirical takedown of horror movies from a mockumentary perspective and then the last third it transitions into an above average horror movie that uses all of the tropes they made fun of. It stars literally nobody who went on to do anything noteworthy but the main cast is still surprisingly good.
Highly recommend

Kate Blanchett has played some pretty kickass women in some of her movies.
A bit older then in the game but I don't see that as an issue.
today
Madame Web must be relieved that it'll now have competition for the Razzies this year.
For those unfamiliar, the entire movie had to be shot on a green screen in a nursing home because all of the main cast are over 85. It currently sits at 5% on Rotten Tomatoes, up from 0% after the embargo lifted
