After taking a swim in a bucket of beer my pixel 3a xl won't charge unless you power it off first (Isn't USB C the future?) and I might have to buy a new one
What I'm really looking for is a phone with a removable battery and screws so I can actually take it apart and clean it should it also fall into a bucket of beer, wine, mead or whiskey
Also the cheaper the better because my phone budget is literally 40 dollars per year (which is why I upgrade every 5 or 6)

Momma kitty and her five kittens are home and she is such a loving girl! She's already trying to fight my cat through the door but whatever.
She keeps neglecting one kitten in particular. I fed it manually just in case right when I got home.
I'm so in love with them
Momma loves her catnip banana toy 😍 @tempest what do you think of the haul? Lmao

So at one apartment I rented it to some Ukrainian guy that wanted to bring his gf from Ukraine and bought all the electronics like washing machine, dishwasher and then when she came from Ukraine she didn't liked here or rejected him, but she moved to Ukraine. He got heartbroken and decided to also go back to Ukraine. He didn't wanted to lose all the investment he made and I told him that I don't need his washing machine and etc. He told me he is going to find someone who is going to buy it all and rend that apartment in his place I told ok, I wasn't expecting he was going find someone. But he did find some Ukrainian who was going to buy his stuff and rent the apartment, so I went to talk with the new rentoid and sign the documents.
I came to my house and there was a 16 year old kid standing and he asked me if I was the landlord then told me he wanted to rent it.
I was like
Then his parent came. At first I wasn't sure about it since it's a 16 year old kid. But then I remembered it's easier to kick out a 16 year old than 18+ year old since 16 year old is under parents protection + they seemed to be rich if they are ready to pay over 1000 euro for their kid rent. He basically wants to go to some specific school in the city but the parents home is "very" far away.
It's first time I renting to someone younger than me + to a child

Doses were 4 mg estradiol oral + 50 mg spironolactone May-November 2023, then 6 mg estradiol oral + 100 mg spironolactone November-January 2024, then 8 mg estradiol oral + 150 spironolactone January-May 2024. Finally, I started .25 ml mono estradiol injections and 100 mg oral P4 in May. Saw little growth between May and January 2024, with a less than 36 inch bust. Between January and April, however, I saw explosive growth. Went from 36 inch bust to a 39 inch bust. After starting mono injections and P4, I saw another jump in growth, going from 39 inches to 40 inches, where I am now. They're still sore, so it seems my growth isn't done yet!

My first mile after starting back up was an abysmal 18 minutes. Even for an old guy like me that's really bad. Three days later though and I've got it under 10 minutes. My goal is to eventually get that under 6 minutes and work my way up to 40mi/week. I'm starting kind of easy so I don't kill myself and can't use muscle soreness as an excuse to skip a day. My lifetime personal best was a 5k in ~18m30s, but that was also something like 30 years ago.

Reason because I am Japanese samurai…
Because the average bed is too small for me. Most beds that are sold are 190cm or 200cm in length and if I lay down I stretch beyond 200cm and I also decided it's more comfy to sleep on the floor than pick some overpriced custom bed but yesterday it hit me I basically sleep on the floor and a girl wants to visit me

@tempest do you want kitten posting?!
A litter of kittens was born at my workplace on Monday. The person who found them took a black kitten and killed it so they will soon come under my and my bf's watchful eye. That person is lucky I didn't see their treatment of a newborn animal... I've been wanting a reason to stomp a hoe. For therapy. Anyway.
I will be preparing my home for the babies and mama and will retrieve the cats on Sunday.
DON'T TELL MY MOM GUYS

My client is 10 mins late to a meeting so I'm here shitposting and shopping. I didn't realize they have ones that mop and vacuum! These mf are over $1000 though. I'm thinking about getting one because I vacuum every day now. I see people saying they suck and others say they are great. What are your opinions, rdrama? And yes I know I'm talking to parent-dwelling zoomers mostly but I know I got some Xennial and Xoomer compadres here too.

Tractor Supply told me that all of the chicks were hens , but I think I ended up with two roosters . One, named Rory, looks like a rooster and acts like one too. He'll call out alerts when I enter the run and comes up to see who I am. No crowing yet, but they are only 17 weeks. The other, named Wilma, had a slightly bigger comb and waddle than the other hens, but smaller than Rory's and had a pretty little crest feather . Xhe acted like a rooster and challenged me too when I entered the run so I just assumed that I had a butch hen. Last week Wilma had a mystery wound under xher wing so I treated it and put xher in an isolation brooder until xhe was ready to come out. Today I got back from visiting my folks to find that Wilma had a bigger wound on the other side and feathers all over the ground in the run. I tried to treat it, but xhe died . I just ordered a camera so I can spy on my chickens to make sure they are getting along. RIP Wilma

I'm so miserably depressed I can't find a reason to live. I fricked up my 20s and I'm stuck with a useless Masters degree. I can't get a job and the worst part is that I'm 156cm. I just got another rejection today following an interview. Hundreds of job applications with no success.
The pills aren't working because the problem isnt chemical - my life is shit and it's justifiable to be depressed about it. Shattered dreams, broken hope, and wasted time is all that remains.
I keep searching for a job, a gf, a PhD, stability in this life but nothing comes. It hurts so bad I want to cut myself to pieces. Just viciously self-harm. Can anyone relate?
I feel so worthless, too worthless to carry on. It's another evening of crying myself to sleep, tears streaming down my face as I type this.

Gas station encounters is a YouTube channel where people who steal from a gas stationed are shamed. It's funny because you see people from all walks of life stealing. Have you ever shoplifted before? I haven't. Too scared. Today, I wanted to list my top 3 Gas Station Encounters episodes.
1. TP Caper
The host of Gas Station Encounters typically narrates the videos in an entertaining way. Every so often he raps, and his skills are off the chain. The best example of this is with the TP Caper where he raps about a man who comes in and steals potty paper and candy. It's funny, creative, and genuine.
The comment section applauds his rapping prowess, and it is well-deserved.
2. Fired from work
It's shocking how many of the thieves do so while wearing work uniform or driving a car with their job's logo on it. It's just bad publicity for the business and it could cost you your job. That's what happens to this guy who steals a pink vape battery. He tries to deny the crime but he is caught on camera and the tape is shown to his boss who fires him. Cawd!
3. Stealing in front of kids
Parents are supposed to be good role models for their children but some fail at this task. In this video, a mom steals a bottle of vodka while walking with her daughter wearing a pink power ranger outfit. She is confronted in front of her child and she is very ashamed! She tries to get the gas station attendee to not chastise her in front of her daughter but he does not relent.
The comments section is judgmental of the mother.
Conclusion
I did DMT on the beach today. It was nice and I felt hopeful about life but things have come crashing down again and it sucks. I just wish I wasn't bipolar because I don't like being depressed and self-harming and being suicidal. I don't know how much more of this I can handle but I'll try my best.
Tune in next time when I discuss circumcision rituals from around the world.

I have a 45 minute technical interview with no other details provided. I have no idea if it's a "soft" technical interview where they just kinda ask me the usual questions like "what would you do in this scenario" or "tell me about a time this happened" or a "hard" technical interview where the questions are more like "implement a red-black tree with unit tests and documentation." I'm mildly prepared for either but either way I'll be at least partially winging it.
Interviewing isn't as bad when I already have a job and there isn't as much pressure but man it still fricking sucks so much.

She thought all Janine's snivelling and repentance meant something, she thought Janine had been broken, she thought Janine was a true believer. But by that time Janine was like a puppy that's been kicked too often, by too many people, at random: she'd roll over for anyone, she'd tell anything, just for a moment of approbation. – The Handmaid's Tale
"Shame is the sense of being singular" – Fitz Hugh Ludlow, The Heart of the Country
'You see, Dumbledore?' said Phineas Nigellus slyly `Never try to understand the students. They hate it. They would much rather be tragically misunderstood, wallow in self-pity, stew in their own -' Order of Phoenix
"I been silent so long now it's gonna roar out of me like floodwaters and you think the guy telling this is ranting and raving my God; you think this is too horrible to have really happened, this is too awful to be the truth! But, please. It's still hard for me to have a clear mind thinking on it. But it's the truth even if it didn't happen." – Ken kesey, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

"'Good words,' I replied. 'But deeds must prove it also; and after he is well, remember you don't forget resolutions formed in the hour of fear.'" – Wuthering Heights
"He refused to be moved, saying he needed the seclusion and the rural air to finish the book he was writing. If he went and mingled with the English in the streets and spent all his evenings in their pubs watching football on TV, he would lose the edge of his recollections and there would be no point to anything he had done." – By The Sea
"We all desire to find out how we began, force the legs of memory open" Ariel Dorfman, headed south, looking north.
"Sometimes paranoia's just having all the facts." William S. Burroughs
"Truth is a matter of fitting words to the world." – Metaphors we live by
"His heart beat faster as Daisy's white face came up to his own. He knew that when he kissed this girl, and forever wed his unutterable visions to her perishable breath, his mind would never romp again like the mind of God. So he waited, listening for a moment longer to the tuning-fork that had been struck upon a star. Then he kissed her. At his lips' touch she blossomed for him like a flower and the incarnation was complete" – Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby
"If you feel someone resents you because of expectations you've set for them – or you resent someone such as your boss or co-worker for expectations they've set for you – talk to them." – John Hoover

"It's not that I'm so smart, it's that I stay with problems stronger" – Albert Einstein
"I have naturally formed the habit of restraining my thoughts. A thoughtless word hardly ever escaped my tongue or pen. Experience has taught me that silence is part of the spiritual discipline of a votary of truth. We find so many people impatient to talk. All this talk can hardly be said to be of any benefit to the world. It is so much waste of time. My shyness has been in reality my shield and buckler. It has allowed me to grow. It has helped me in my discernment of truth." – Mahatma Gandhi
Conclusion
As organisms, we generally strive toward that which betters our existence. That is to say, we are driven towards pleasure rather than pain - the pleasure principle. This is basic Darwinism. Freud throws a wrench in things and complicates the matter a smidgeon. He proposes we have two drives - a death drive and a life drive - call it Thanatos and Eros if you must.
The life instincts, also known as "Eros," are focused on survival, reproduction, and pleasure. These instincts encourage behaviors that foster growth, connection, and the continuation of life. They include things like nurturing relationships, seeking food, and engaging in activities that promote well-being and happiness.
On the other hand, the death instincts, or "Thanatos," represent a more destructive aspect of human nature. Freud suggested that these instincts drive people towards aggression, risk-taking, and self-destructive behaviors. Rather than aiming for survival and growth, the death instincts are about reducing tension through destruction and ultimately returning to a state of inertia or calm. This concept is more abstract and complex, reflecting a drive towards the end of tension and the restoration of a more primitive, non-living state.
As humans we have to wrestle these drives while striving for sanity and happiness. What happens when the death drive wins over, but not quite enough to trigger suicide? My theory is that we get into the realm of self-harm. As the name suggests, self-harm is a behavior that involves physically harming oneself, though not suicidally. This might involve behaviors such as cutting, burning, hitting, or other forms of self-inflicted injury. People who self-harm often do so as a way to manage overwhelming emotions, express feelings they find hard to put into words, or feel a sense of control over their own bodies.
This life isn't worth living. It hurts too much and I want to end it all. I'm so suicidal but I'm such a kitty all I can do is cut myself, turning myself into a mutilated monster. I need the rope
