Meet Kayla Ann Bridges or Kayla Davison the OF whore that scams magic players. She sounds like a real piece of shit that's scammed and fricked with dozens of people. Apparently she fled to Europe and is laying low.

I (Rodney Bedell) sold her a mox pearl ($3000). She claimed it was an onlyfans customer gift for her. Refused to pay me for a couple months, claimed paypal was broken / cashapp was broken / would pay me cash at future event, etc. she did eventually pay me

(Harrison Bates, California) Kayla and I met on FB, she drove down to meet me and we started dating in Oct 2018. I was crazy broke during the relationship but Kayla was more than willing to offer and pay for things we did or food we ate etc. In Feb 2019, she moved in with me & my dad in Los Angeles. For a month, everything was ok but my dad got extremely sick, March 2019, and was put on life support until September 2019. I was a mess during this time, emotionally and financially. Kayla offered to help me with money stuff so I wouldn't have to stress about bills and things. In June 2019, I discovered that Kayla was cheating on me. In July 2019, I had discovered that my dad's bank account was heavily used, and I thought that was weird because the only thing that should've been pulled from the account was rent and other bills. I go to the bank, prove to them that my dad is in the ICU and can't come, they give me records of the past month. I notice a lot of the charges were for things Kayla and I were doing. Food, shopping, travel etc. I asked the bank for documents from the beginning of the year, and the statements say that in march, money had started to be spent by Kayla. In September 2019 I have to break the news to my dad that this has happened, and when he was able to come home, we curated a contract with Kayla saying that she will pay us back the amount she spent on things that aren't the bills etc. She strung us along, making excuses, fake accounts, and chargebacks of paypal etc. In 2021, my dad passed from a heart attack, I took over his debt, and Kayla hasn't paid much since. At GP Vegas 2019, I and a few others tried to approach the head judge and tournament organizers about my situation, and they said they couldn't do anything unless there was something legal about Kayla happening at that moment in time. (stole/used $24295.04, paid $12850 (( to date )), signed contract to pay) She also probably stole close to 2k worth of mtg at the beginning of our relationship, but I don't have proof of that.

(Riley Keane, maryland) While we were together we decided to open 2 credit cards to earn hotel/flight points. She told me her credit was frozen because her step mother stole her identity so we opened them in my name with her as an authorized user. She managed to max out both of them(15k total) in a few months around the end of our relationship. Getting her to pay me back was a huge pain over the next year or so but she slowly gave me back around 12.5k total. At some point she gave me a beta mox sapphire as collateral which was of course confirmed as fake when I had someone at TOA look at it.

Not sure if people already know but her legal name is Kayla Ann Bridges, Davison is her mother's maiden name.

(Mike Mckinney, of 95mtg in delaware) She owes me $2,080: At scg richmond she wanted to buy something/needed cash, said she would send me paypal but her phone was over on the charger. Has since made excuses, bailed on events, and ghosted.

(Ryan McKinney 95 MTG) I gave Kayla $1,000 the exact same time as Mike McKinney. Pretty sure it was SCG Richmond when we gave it to her and she claimed she'd get us paypal to pay it back. She has claimed to have cash but keeps bailing on events where she says she can give it to me.

Mikey (@CatanEthusiast) She did social media stuff for Topdeck briefly, but we were pretty disappointed with her performance. Would check in and there was always an excuse, so we ended up having to re-do a lot of her work. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and increased the pay for one month since I was assured we didn't originally contract for enough hours to have everything done that we wanted. Overall, after the pay increase, she was fairly non-existent and clearly just pocketed the money, which amounted to $600 for the month. Told her we were done around halfway through the month, since it was clear the money was gone and she wasn't going to do the job we expected. I also paid to have around 10 hours of footage edited from one of our events which came out to a few hundred dollars. Was told it was done several times and that the link would be posted, but it has been months and no link has been received. Even had other people on the team and people involved with footage ask for it and no one ever received the edited footage. At this point, I can only assume nothing was edited and just accepted my losses. Glad to have cut ties when I did, since it's clear this sort of behavior is rampant.

Also, a large reason that she was brought on was for her "experience" doing social media for several brands in the MTG space, most notably SCG. However, it has come to my attention that this was all a lie.

(Elliot R., VA)Don't have any personal stories about money, but she's demonstrably lied. She claimed at multiple judge conferences I was present at that she has played on the Pro Tour (she hasn't - https://www.mtgeloproject.net/index.php?search=Search&id=149611), posted pictures on her Facebook claiming to be a Stanford fellow (fake assertion simply by Googling the certificate in the photo). These are just the provable lies that immediately come to mind. I know personally of many others that aren't my stories to share.

(anon judge2) She was sent a bunch of judge foils to run conferences. She was supposed to return extras. Instead she kept the rest and tried to sell them in bulk to local game stores, who refused to buy them.

(Anon judge 3) She lied about attending Stanford. Also claimed she was accepted for Harvard law. She's recently made claims about being paid $5K+ to put on something secret for SCG, which I never believed. A judge saw her selling 80+ Animate Dead judge promos at LD Oakland in '23, which raised eyebrows because other judges claimed to never receive theirs from the conferences she ran. She has repeatedly used other TOs money like it has been her own without asking, and it has affected the events.

(anon, confirmed by Rodney) Convinced her ex to co-sign on a Tesla she found on a lot saying she would pay it off in full when she got the refund from the Tesla she had ordered. She didn't make payments and ruined his credit score, claiming her identity had been stolen and she didn't have access to her money. Paid off the car in full when threatened with legal action.

(Ben H., MD) Claimed repeatedly to have worked directly with Ravensburger on constructing the Lorcana Core Rules document, including stating that it would "definitely" be released by X date. It was not, and there has been no evidence that this work occurred, with an entirely different individual being hired as the rules manager for the game.

A few of us "gamed for the check", agreeing that whoever came in 2nd would get the cash from everyone at the meal who didn't want to game for it - I came in 2nd, Kayla never paid me for her meal.

She also claimed to be connecting judges to stores as the area captain used to do. This was entirely a lie. In reality, she was banned from judging from multiple MD stores for repeated lies to the TOs as well as suspicious behavior involving selling mass amounts of judge promos.

(MMG) I am the Marketing Director for Misty Mountain Gaming brands, which includes our Clash for Cash tournament series. Kayla was hired as my C4C social media marketing assistant roughly 3 months ago. She was interviewed by our company President and hired based on her impressive work experience in marketing and social media management within the MTG space which included working on the marketing team/running social media for Star City Games and Topdeck, among other reputable, established brands in the space. Over the course of the roughly 2 months that she worked with us, I met with her several times to resolve issues we were having with her regarding communication, dishonesty and assigned work not being completed. A very similar experience to the one given above by Mikey of TopDeck.

Prior to our event in OKC, myself and our Manager of Operations met with Kayla again to discuss our concerns regarding the quality of her work and other issues. In this meeting, we came to the understanding that Kayla would be removed from managing our Clash for Cash social sets and discussed her moving to something in the realm of ambassador and content creator for our brand, as we valued her experience and knowledge within the community. We brought her out to our OKC event as a member of our C4C team with the understanding that her role would be creating content around our tournaments, players and guests.

While Kayla was pulled aside several times throughout this event to discuss on-site issues, it was Sunday morning when we received confirmation from SCG that she had not and did not work for them in any marketing capacity that we decided to part ways immediately. I then sat Kayla down, with our TO present at the other end of the table only for mutual oversight, and explained that we had become aware that she had acquired her position with us by misrepresenting her work experience and would be ending our professional relationship with her because of this.

I got halfway, and my car broke down as i was leaving my stop and i had to drop $800 i didn't have to do a hasty engine repair that then spiraled out into me not being able to afford rent on top of having a super broken car, even after getting paid for the event and getting judge promos from the conference it kinda was the tipping point that financially ruined me and i'm still nowhere near recovering from it

We're finally ready to risk leaving the city and heading out into the countryside. But first, why would we even want to?

There's lots of things that we just can't get here in Duisburg. Remember how in part 2 I mentioned that knowledge of saints and alchemical formulas is going to be critical later in the game. We can't learn them all here. The shops here don't carry every product we might need. If we want an exotic weapon like a composite bow we'll have to search for a place that sells them. Also most items in the game have a quality rating and different cities are better at making different kinds of items. The best swords can be found in Nurnburg, the best hammers in Prag, and so on. Alchemy requires a lot of traveling to find the various components needed for making potions. If you want training, not all cities have a physician or alchemist who is actually skilled enough to teach you. And of course at some point we'll start doing quests which will send us all over the Empire.

Let's see if we can pick up a little knowledge here before we leave.

Saints

Remember that urban monastery where the nuns healed our wounds? That's not all they do. They have a library where one of our party can learn about a saint. There are many, many saints in the game, I think over 100, but this library gives us the choice of 4 of them. This is one of the things in Darklands that got a young Redactor to go into the real world library and read about these people so I could remember who they are and which ones to pick in the game. Let's see how my hagiography holds up:

• Edward the Confessor - This one is easy. He was a famous King of England.

• St. Jude - We just read about him earlier because coincidentally this happens to be one of the saints that Yuna started the game already knowing.

• St. Albert - I blanked on this one. Tried to look him up but there's a million St. Alberts. Many of the saints in this game are really obscure ones who were important to medieval Christians but forgotten today, not ones who are currently hip and trendy. I think the one referred to here is a king in early medieval England.

• St. Maurice - I used to know about this guy but forgot and had to look him up too. He was an Egyptian general in the Roman army. Long story short, he refused to kill civilians so he was martyred.

TW: If you're religious you might find what I'm about to say a little bit flippant and offensive because we're going to be comparing these saints based on what they can do for us in a video game. I totally get that, but I would argue that keeping them in mind even when doing frivolous things like playing games is a good thing. It never got in the way of me appreciating these peoples' lives and martyrdom. In fact it got me to learn who they were. In a later episode I'll go more in depth about how Christianity is depicted in the game, but for now just trust me that this is not atheist edgelords trying to take down God, either me or the people who made the game.

Having gotten that out of the way, let's ask ourselves, what can these saints do for us? Let's remember who we've already got. Redactor has St. Anthony, who does a lot of great things but is especially good for academics and dealing with people. Yuna has St. Jude, who can bail us out of desperate situations but isn't particularly focused on anything. So with that in mind, let's evaluate our choices.

• Edward - He was a king, so I'm guessing in the game he will help us deal with nobility or something. And IIRC he was a scholar who spent a lot of time studying. That overlaps a lot with what St. Anthony already can do for us.

• Jude - Even though Yuna already knows him, it's actually worth considering having Redactor learn him too. Having two people who can pray to the patron of lost causes would be useful.

• Albert - I have no idea who this is so that rules him out.

• Maurice - He was a soldier, so it's likely that he can temporarily boost our weapon skills. At this point, early in the game, that could give us a crucial edge in a tough fight.

Well that's not exactly what I was expecting. Sometimes saints end up being patrons of all kinds of places, jobs, etc. that are not immediately obvious. I gotta read more about this guy to figure out what he could possibly have to do with alchemy. Unfortunately, note the "Success: 0". He's one of the saints who doesn't just listen to every whiner. Yuna will need to earn the right to talk to him by living a virtuous life. In order to keep things simple for my loyal readers I haven't asked any saints to intercede for me yet, but in a later episode I will explain how that works.

What does this have to do with travel? Remember how the nuns healed us that one time but they're not going to just do it over and over again? Many things in Darklands are like this. It's intended to avoid the "water finds a crack" problem. You can't just always stay in the same place and do the same thing. The librarians here won't let you back in again for a long time, maybe 6 months. But there are other libraries out there.

Alchemy

Let's see if Redactor will be more successful. He knows three formulas for potions. We aren't going to actually make any of them any time soon because we first need to collect the necessary components which involves a lot of traveling and a lot of paying money, two things we haven't done yet. But maybe he can learn a formula now that will be useful later.

Notice that we only managed to find this guy because Redactor knows enough about alchemy. Let's try to trade formulas with him. If we're very lucky he'll accept and we'll get a new formula for free. But it's very unlikely. Redactor only knows those 3 formulas and with 13 charisma he is not, as Richard Nixon would say, a "personality boy". Alchemists aren't trying to be helpful like monks and nuns, they're neurodivergent neckbeards who need their ego to be stroked. Normally we would have Sasha handle a task like this as she has amazing charisma and knows how to speak well, but in this case it's got to be Redactor who does the talking. This is a really low-percentage shot like when I try to talk to girls but hey, it never hurts to try, does it? At least that's what I tell myself when I'm sexually harassing women on the internet.

It actually worked! He just gave us a formula for Stonetar. This is sticky goo, extremely useful stuff. You can use it in battle to slow down your enemies and it helps in all kinds of weird unexpected situations. Someday we will definitely be making this.

Why don't we just do this constantly in the hopes that we'll get lucky again and get another formula? It's like with the library. You can't pester these guys every day. If you want to discover new things you've got to go to new places.

Travel

Next episode: Actually I'm not sure what to do. So far I've planned these out really well to gradually introduce important gameplay mechanics, but at this point we're in an awkward stage. Backstory: Fidelity Investments has some account called a Cash Management Account. It's a hybrid of a brokerage account (account you buy stocks) and a checking account (can write checks, debit card, bill pay). It's been around for a while, but it became a pretty popular tool in the internet personal finance sector because the setup let you earn ~5% of your money at all times. But it's not a real checking account (important).

A few weeks ago, the Chase glitch occurred. But a glitch allowed to deposit a check (stolen or just their own), and instead of putting a hold and clearing it over a few days they got access to the funds immediately. So they would deposit a check for let's say $5,000, and then instantly withdraw the money. Obviously a super r-slurred thing to do with your account, but .

This was quickly fixed, but it caused some to wonder. What if other institutions did the same? Well they do. Banks have been operating on the clear first and ask questions later premise for a while, and brokerages even more so. This has brought to the limelight a type of fraud that's been around for a while. It's apparently coordinated through Telegram, and abuses mobile deposits not ATMs.

Fidelity was a nice target too since their mobile deposit limit was $100,000. Fidelity last week caught onto this and then decided to implement some combination of these measures onto most of the accounts:

• Reducing mobile deposit to $1,000

• Put 15 business day holds on mobile deposits and ACHs

• Cancel peoples billpays

• Randomly locking accounts

As with most things like this, it's hard to get the true story because you'll see a lot of posts where someone is depositing 30 checks a week and needs to transfer all the money instantly to 5 different bank accounts and then ghost

you when you ask what could they possibly be doing to justify it.

/r/fidelityinvestments mods setup a megathread addressing this and pinned it in the sub. They then answered basically no questions, and then unpinned it

Yep. I hope people look at these post before they think about opening an account with Fidelity. In my case they are holding my funds till 9th Oct (for deposits made on 16th Sept) . I had to make alternative arrangement to take care of my expenses.

The the worst part is that reddit is allowing Fidelity's moderators to delete posts on this issues and redirect us to this "megathread" which is more like a trash bin. Sorry if I sound frustrated as I really am.....

I recently transferred about $3000 into my Fidelity Cash Management account from US Bank on 9/15, and after 4 days, the funds were still unavailable. When I called to ask why, they explained that it was because I had pulled the funds from Fidelity rather than pushed them from US Bank.

They gave me a vague excuse about "industry trends" and "protecting Fidelity accounts" supposedly justifying the excessive hold. What makes this even more frustrating is that customer support admitted they never informed me about this extended hold upfront, and after reviewing Fidelity's terms, I wasn't able to find mention of such a long hold for this type of transaction.

Now, they've told me the funds will be held until at least 10/8. Even after verifying my identity, they won't release the money. While I can still use the money for things like buying stocks and bonds within Fidelity, the lack of transparency and delay in giving me full access is infuriating.

The more I see on this subreddit the more I become convinced the MegaThead is nothing more than a Catch & Kill effort

Hello, my entire Bill Pay was deleted a couple of weeks ago. I was notified by email with no explanation. I have called Fidelity, and they just say that they have been looking into it and they will call me. It's been a week since the my Bill Pay disappeared, and I want it to pay bills as I always have. Help!

Happened last week to me. In my case I deposited a large personal check. The funds had cleared but they still restricted my account as they thought the check was fraudulent or that I wrote it (it was from my mother) they called my mother separately to confirm she wrote the check.

All very absurd but once they lifted the restrictions bill pay returned that same day.

Doctorofcredit thread. A lot of these people were locked since what they do looks pretty similar to money laundering anyway.

With all this backlash, it does make sense that Fidelity is losing some valuable customers.

There are already dozens of startups with the goal of creating Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). However, all of these startups are planning on doing so for the benefit of humanity. None are doing it explicitly for the detriment of mankind.

I propose a startup that wants to build an Evil AGI. We build a "misaligned" bot whose goal is to enslave every human, create superviruses, tear holes in malaria nets, etc.

We only stop working on the project after we receive one billion dollars ($1,000,000,000) from OpenAI or the Machine Intelligence Research Institute

But Muhammad, 53, who's gone straight and runs a street patrol and violence prevention program called Ex-Cons for Community and Social Change says Venezuelan criminal gangs flooding shelters and taking over apartment buildings are the last straw for the struggling African-American community. He says they are furious at seeing government money going to what they call "non-citizens."

"It is impossible to release gang members and criminals into our country through the borders and broken walls and infiltrate them in our community that's already impoverished and broken," Muhammad told The Post last week on the O Block, a stretch along South King Drive that's considered the most dangerous in the city. "When the black gangs here get fed up with the illegalities and criminal activities of these migrants or non-citizens, the city of Chicago is going to go up in flames and there will be nothing the National Guard or the government can do about it when the bloodshed hits the streets. It'll be blacks against migrants."

The latest figures show Chicago has spent almost half a billion dollars over the last two years on the more than 42,000 migrants who've arrived since 2022.

"What bothers me is that the Venezuelans are united," Rogers said. "The black gangs are too divided and they take each other down." Rogers' friend and boss in what they call the "organization," Charles Harris, 55, gestured to an area two blocks from where he was standing in the Woodlawn section. "It's still violent down here but it's calmed down a lot,' Harris said, gesturing to the west. "Back in the day we'd get shot if we went over there. It's calmed down a lot. The last thing we need are the Venezuelans." Muhammad --- who was once the enforcer for Larry Hoover, head of the Gangster Disciples street gang --- formed a group called Ex-Cons for Trump because he feels the Democrats have failed inner-city black people for too long.

"It's not so much Trump himself, it's that the Democrats are selling us down the river," he said. "The boujee (upwardly mobile) blacks might like Kamala Harris but she isn't going to do anything for us." The Rev. Corey Brooks, 55, who established his New Beginnings Church and his outreach group Project Hood on the O Block more than 20 years ago, said his conservatism grew out of years of what he called failed Democratic policies and even being ignored for funding by Black Lives Matter when he tried to get donations for his new community center. "Chicago is a blue city and Illinois is a blue state but people are starting to wake up," Brooks told The Post last week at his church. "It's not about the person, it's about the policies. I've seen what's happening with my own eyes when it comes to the migrant criminal gangs and it's very concerning." Brooks got a firsthand glimpse when he found out about a young Venezuelan migrant who had to flee the apartment he shared with other migrants when they turned out to be a criminal gang a few months ago.

"People will accuse me of fear-mongering because I'm a Republican and a conservative but I know what I saw," Brooks told The Post. "The Venezuelan gangs took over his apartment and were doing illegal activities. I know the crimes that were being committed and how in danger his life was." The young man, aged 27, spoke to The Post but did not want to give his name or go on camera and said he was terrified for his life. "If they found out I was talking to anyone, they'd end my family's life with one bullet," he said in Spanish. "These are bad people." It's not just the gang members upset about the migrants moving in and using up money that locals say would better serve them.

Octavia Mitchell, 52, formed the Heal Your Heart organization after she lost her son, Izael Jackson, to gun violence here in 2010. Last year she lost her nephew, 21-year-old Avante Holmes, when he was gunned down on the South Side. 412 people have been murdered in Chicago so far in 2024 but she said less, not more, is being done to curb black-on-black violence. "I can't even reach nobody at City Hall or anywhere else that cares," Mitchell said. "They care about the migrants but they don't care about people like us whose roots are here. We matter, you know?"

The Chicago mayor's office did not return an email from The Post.

See, the problem with this complaint is that 80% of the time, if you actually paid attention to the media, said "comically evil thing" the villain does after they state their "good point" actually completely in-character for them.Making "a good point" shouldn't change the fact that someone behaves like a villain the whole time.The whole reason they're labeled as a villain is because they went too far and potentially result in the same destructive feats they're supposedly opposing. In these scenarios, the hero usually learns from them and addresses the point in a non-destructive way.Killmonger is a hypocrite who wanted to be the oppressor instead of destroying oppression.The Riddler never cared about helping the less privileged; only getting revenge on people he blames for his misery, like a larger-scale school shooter.Thanos was ultimately just a narcissist who wanted to be validated as a savior.The Flagsmashers, though, completely deserve this criticism. But that is the complaint. They're not saying it's out of character for those villains to be evil. They're saying the problem is that the villains were written to be that extreme in the first place since it prevents the anyone from addressing the problem the villains bring up in any substantive way, and they end up dealing a lot more with the damage the villains caused. "The good guys always win and the bad guys always lose," and all that.If the message of the movie is that climate activism is bad, then I'll take issue. But I'm not going to demand that climate activists, as individual characters and people, are always portrayed in a positive light. (1)
