Original post in /r/protonmail, where the CEO responds to the controversy:

https://old.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/1i1zjgn/so_that_happened/

Excerpt from Yen's comment:

This is not going to be a popular opinion, but on the specific issue of antitrust, Democrats fell short. In 2022, we campaigned extensively in the US for anti-trust legislation. Two bills were ready, with bipartisan support. Chuck Schumer (who coincidently has two daughters working as big tech lobbyists) refused to bring the bills for a vote. In the aftermath of this failure, great people like former Democratic rep David Cicilline left congress, leaving few strong voices for antitrust left in the Democratic party. In the meantime, at a 2024 event covering antitrust remedies, out of all the invited senators, just a single one showed up - JD Vance.

having s*x for the good of the relationship : redscarepod

DISCLAIMER: I don't mean non-consensual or obligatory s*x at all. Men do not have a right to a woman's body just because you're in a relationship. I am a woman and I do think of myself as a feminist.

I was just wondering what people in general think about the idea of having s*x even if you don't necessarily 'feel like it' for the good of the relationship because you love your partner.

In my experience, my s*x drive isn't that high and I don't get an impulse to initiate s*x very often. It's not because im not attracted to my partner or don't enjoy s*x, I think im seriously just lazy and need to overcome that to keep my relationship strong. It's like, when I do have s*x with my partner I almost always enjoy it, the idea of it just doesn't sound good beforehand. Separately, I also notice that if my partner and I have not done it in a while, our relationship gets worse and we argue more, etc. So when I realize it's been awhile and I see an opportunity, I'll just initiate even if I don't really want to in the moment. Or if he initiates and my first instinct is no, I'll think about why im saying no before I respond. If there is a legit reason beyond me being lazy that I don't want to have s*x, I say no.

When I read dead bedrooms posts or talk to friends in bad relationships who tell me they haven't had s*x in 3 or 6 mos or whatever I've wanted to bring this up and ask if they've ever thought about it like this but I worry this is some weird internalized misogyny or patriarchy thing that im just trying to justify. What do the people of rsp think?

Manlet wins a rap beef, what does that mean for anti-shorts

Unfortunate anti-short after effects of this beef

Unfortunate anti-short after effects of this beef

Is being a short American synonymous with size 7 shoes, your back against the curb, your pants ripping, and not being lit?

I'm asking this cause this seems to be a common theme levied at Kendrick as part of this beef.

I'm being told annoyingly by Tall Drake fans and some tall Hiphop heads that Kendrick is, in fact, a "pipsqueak" despite none of the listed being true. (Amongst other reasons)

I feel insulted personally as believe l there is more to being short and Hiphop than these things? It feels like a weird purity test.

I don't see kinda tall people as less tall.

Is it because he's shorter than average ?

We all know about the "top shelf problem."

Are Spud Webb, Kevin Hart, Darren Sproles, etc suddenly pipsqueaks?

One thing I don't like about this beef is that Drake has allowed non short people to question another short man's height.

A short man going to a store that sells shoes that run a bit a smaller is not "copium" or not accepting reality. This is the same as the disingenuous 'short on short crime' arguments that people bring up when we talk about short discrimination.

We have tall people openly calling a short man a 'pipsqueak."

Any thoughts on this?

I am learning to hate AI : r/teachers | Teacher shits on AI, admits it can write beautifully

I hate it I hate it I hate it. 90% of our student body relies on it to complete their work. There is near to no originality in their writing and work. We are nearing complete dependence on it from some students. AI checkers work sometimes but students just use AI then switch the words around to avoid this.

I know the upside that it has for us as a society, but we are losing creativity and gumption with every improvement. I hurt for them. I used to read beautiful student writing and didn't have to question if it was written by a program. Now I am forced into skepticism. How can we lose so much with advancement?
