Development Update: Football Manager 25
We know this will come as a huge disappointment, especially given that the release date has already moved twice, and you have been eagerly anticipating the first gameplay reveal. We can only apologise for the time it has taken to communicate this decision. Due to stakeholder compliance, including legal and financial regulations, today was the earliest date that we could issue this statement.
We have always prided ourselves on delivering the best value for money games that bring you countless hours of enjoyment, that feel worth every moment and every penny you spend. With the launch of FM25 we set out to create the biggest technical and visual advancement in the series for a generation, laying the building blocks for a new era.
Due to a variety of challenges that we've been open about to date, and many more unforeseen, we currently haven't achieved what we set out to do in enough areas of the game, despite the phenomenal efforts of our team. Each decision to delay the release was made with the aim of getting the game closer to the desired level but, as we approached critical milestones at the turn of the year, it became unmistakably clear that we would not achieve the standard required, even with the adjusted timeline.
Whilst many areas of the game have hit our targets, the overarching player experience and interface is not where we need it to be. As extensive evaluation has demonstrated, including consumer playtesting, we have clear validation for the new direction of the game and are getting close โ however, we're too far away from the standards you deserve.
We could have pressed on, released FM25 in its current state, and fixed things down the line - but that's not the right thing to do. We were also unwilling to go beyond a March release as it would be too late in the football season to expect players to then buy another game later in the year.
Through the cancellation, every effort is now focused on ensuring that our next release achieves our goal and hits the quality level we all expect. We will update you on how we are progressing with that as soon as we are able to do so.

Anyway, I started the Dogtown part of the game (from the Phantom Liberty DLC) which is very good but the small area is a little too busy which causes some serious jank and framerate drops. The new car theft missions have caused my PC to crash a couple of times. Apparently the REDengine CD Project Red use is just not up to maintaining a game like this. They have already announced they're dumping it for future releases and rely on Unreal 5. I've had some shocking glitches while driving- cars appearing out of nowhere, falling out of the sky like that guy in Morrowind...
I even had a car spawn directly under me, catapulting my car 30 feet into the air. The game has avoided this from being too immersion-breaking by making almost every car that has collidedwith me driven by a woman.
There is a character in this game called 'Mr. Hands' who seemed to change his voice actor. This is controversial so I innocently googled "Mr Hands voice controversy"...
Yeah, they maybe should have checked that name before they used it.

About 10 people, including the gunman, were killed on Tuesday at an adult education center in what Sweden's prime minister called the country's worst mass shooting. But a final death toll, a conclusive number of wounded and a motive hadn't yet been determined hours later.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson gave a news conference in the aftermath of the tragedy, which happened on the outskirts of Orebro. The city is located about 200 kilometers (125 miles) west of Stockholm.
The school, called Campus Risbergska, serves students over age 20, according to its website. Primary and upper secondary school courses are offered, as well as Swedish classes for immigrants, vocational training and programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
"Today, we have witnessed brutal, deadly violence against completely innocent people," Kristersson told reporters in Stockholm. "This is the worst mass shooting in Swedish history. Many questions remain unanswered, and I cannot provide those answers either.
"But the time will come when we will know what happened, how it could occur, and what motives may have been behind it. Let us not speculate," he said.
Gun violence at schools is very rare in Sweden. But there have been several incidents in recent years in which people were wounded or killed with other weapons such as knives or axes.
Justice Minister Gunnar Strรถmmer called the shooting "an event that shakes our entire society to its core."
While Swedes read about such violence in other places, Strรถmmer said that the country previously felt it wouldn't happen there. Other tragedies in Swedish schools weren't to the extent of Tuesday's attack, he said, calling it "indescribably sad" for the community.
