I've always had an interest in Pynchon but his works seem too intimidating for someone with a nonexistent reading habit. I tried reading Meditations while I was obsessed with the Roman Empire but found it quite boring and never got around to finishing it.

Every other thing they say is, "ChatGPT said I should __", "well ChatGPT thinks __", "I asked ChatGPT" etc etc. I receive constant screenshots of their AI conversations. I get the impression they're beginning to neglect their actual relationships/friendships and are just funneling all their intimate thoughts into their AI and letting it "think" for them. Some don't write their own messages anymore and let their AI write messages for them. I know someone who sent a ChatGPT written break up message. It's all a bit depressing.
