I never said a gun is the only option just that it's one worth considering alongside other self-defense cowtools. If it's not for you, that's totally fine. But providing information for those who are interested isn't the same as telling everyone they must buy one. Either way, take care.

I shared my perspective (one that seems to resonate with a lot of women) on self-defense because I believe people should have options, not because I'm pushing an agenda or fearmongering

Fear isn't what drives people to own guns reality is. The idea that self-defense is just a marketing scheme ignores the fact that millions of people, including marginalized groups, choose to arm themselves because they don't want to rely on the government, law enforcement, or anyone else for protection. Owning a gun doesn't mean supporting gun manufacturers any more than owning a phone means supporting Big Tech censorship. It's about having the cowtools to protect yourself in a world that isn't always safe.

Me (cis f) and my soulmate (mtf) are having our son on Friday and we just finished her second lactation consultation today. She's been on a protocol of hormones that essentially mimics pregnancy and can trigger lactation it's looking like she's starting to produce a milky like substance which she got swabbed today during the appointment. Her breast development has also sky rocketed since the new protocol and she's really happy with that. She's just been glowing and I can see her confidence increasing which makes me so happy for her. If all is well she will be able to eventually feed our baby (we will both be breastfeeding).

The lactation consultant seems really hopeful and excited because there aren't many cases of situations like ours. There have been studies about trans women breastfeeding but what makes our situation a little different is that our baby is my fiancées biological son. I feel like in a way my fiancée will be able to help other trans women in the sense of providing the lactation consultant with this experience and further knowledge on MTF breastfeeding. Her lactation consultant has dealt with lesbian couples before, but not a lesbian cis/trans couple.

On top of that, my fiancée is so excited to be a mother and I know she's going to be amazing at it, I can't wait to see her hold and love our son and I'm so excited to start this new chapter with her. I love her so much.

Do you like the way N64 games and Morrowind look more than anything else? I do, and so I wishlisted Dread Delusion years ago before it was even in early access just from the screenshots. It released in full back in May and I'd been putting off playing it until recently because it couldn't possibly live up to the expectations from years of building it up in my head. But no, it actually did and it was way way way better than I even stupidly hoped it could be.

I even really enjoyed the narrative and worldbuilding, and I generally hate those things in games. And DD has a lot of it. Lots and lots of dialogue and ambient shit to take in. The premise matches the aesthetic and I was typing a bit about it but there were spoilers so I deleted it. Anyway it's a very novel postapocalyptic (fantasy world apocalypse) bit where the world is broken and this sick group that killed all the gods runs things now because the gods were all kind of evil and sadistic. But this group sucks too. Everything sucks. It's a world of suck and it's all so compelling and interesting.

There are airships and a mechanical kingdom run by an insane glitching machine king (soviets) and a kingdom where everyone can never die and they all desperately want to and a badass freedom kingdom (Americans) and a broken miasmatic surface world miles below these flying islands they're all so aesthetically engaging and varied and just looking at shit in all its 64 bit lovecraftian glory never gets old and is the primary driver of the game in my opinion.

There is no minimap and no quest arrows. There are a lot of quests. Locating things uses the tried and true system in the bottom of this maymay:

Except even more unreliable because this was made by one guy and sometimes when he says like northwest he actually meant east in another country. But that's ok because there's always shit to find and do and see.

"Choices matter" is an old buzz phrase but it's actually true here. There's almost never a right answer to things, just equally bad answers and maybe one is less bad. Like I let a little boy get eaten by a dormant god so this village's crops would stop failing. The kid dies. His mom is bummed. But I saved the town and it was cool to do so I did that and that was neat.

Anyway congratulations to Dread Delusion. You were full of exciting twists and letting me do things I didn't think I'd be allowed to do. You have flesh farms and god genociding and a town made of maddening clocks and weird abominations everywhere and I even enjoyed reading all of your strange little books to flesh out the world even more.

I had a staff meeting this morning where I had to present some stuff my team had been working on, so I had to sit up at the front of the room with my boss and the leads and PMs of other teams, so I couldn't play on my phone or hide behind my laptop.

It was awful. I think computers and phones have brainrotted me. I tried to focus on other teams' boring presentations but I couldn't make myself care and I was super twitchy. At one point I locked eyes with the cute guy I fancy who was sitting at the corner of the table near the back, but then I was afraid he could see my crazed animal panic at being denied stimulation for even a few hours, so I think I may have ruined my chances with him.

I tried to mentally review my slides to prepare for my own presentation - my own talk is more interesting because it involves me , and stuff I know/sort of care about - but I already knew all those slides because I made them, so I couldn't entertain myself. There was an analog clock on the wall opposite me and I kept focusing on that: it had one of those second hands that doesn't tick, it just makes a ceaseless smooth sweep, arcing through time excruciatingly slowly. It takes so fricking long for a minute to pass when someone is reading slides of text to you in an accented monotone.

I used to sit through hours and hours of lectures and classes at university. I used to have the ability to focus and take in information that wasn't immediately entertaining or useful to me. I think I might be fricked or need medication or to burn all my electronic devices and run away to the woods to live deliberately and murder living creatures for sustenance and entertainment.
