Temporary Protected Status or TPS is a legal mechanism that protects illegals from deportation. According to the gov itself, Homeland Security may designate a foreign country for TPS due to conditions in the country that temporarily prevent the country's nationals from returning safely, or in certain circumstances, where the country is unable to handle the return of its nationals adequately. USCIS may grant TPS to eligible nationals of certain countries (or parts of countries), who are already in the United States.

This is a godsend for illegals from particular shithole countries because it is a literal trump card :marseycarlos: when it comes to illegal immigration. As long as TPS is extended, the date in which you had to make it to the US to apply for it keeps being rolled down, and with shitholes like Venezuela who remain unsafe given their actual dictator in chief, the prediction was that it would be free from Drumpfs list of targets as they are neither accepting deportees or stable/safe/not committing human rights abuses :marseyflagvenezuela:

TPS as a trump card is legitimately insane and lawcels use it to a ridiculous degree to prevent deportations. Notably, TPS can be used during deportation proceedings to:

>petition the court to close an ongoing deportation case, with or without the support of a prosecutor

>prevent enforcement of an active deportation order

>appeal a deportation order to then close the appeal once you have TPS

Lawcels will effectively sneed at having a large amount of clients be outright unable to avoid deportation now, as will actual beneficiaries. The sneed from beneficiaries is also going to be monumental, because a TPS beneficiary qualifies for:

>protection from deportation

>work permits to work legally

>social security number

>housing benefits and numerous forms of welfare like healthcare, cash, student loans, food stamps...

So wheres the drama? Soon to come about as the news comes out pretty late night about a niche topic. NYT has confirmed they have a copy of a Trump Administration Decision to shut down the latest renewals, meaning Venezuelans will lose their protections in 2 waves, one in April and another in September and face summary deportation unless they beg to be placed in the enormous queue for a deportation hearing. Keep an eye out for sneed sometime between tomorrow and saturday (deadline for DHS Sec to announce if renewed or banned). Once the official announcement is made and this actually hits headlines beyond one outlet, we may get a surge in Dramacoin (or it will all be unintelligible bastardized spanish).

Sleep

Night owls. People who prefer to stay up at night until late. Are they real? From a quick research it seems there ain't much controversy to the idea of people who just naturally prefer the dark of night and it's not a new concept either.

Many things can affect your sleep schedule, like a bad diet, a sedentary lifestyle, too much screentime, and on... and a bad sleep schedule can affect many things about you.

But for me? I can't quite recall a single time in my life where sleeping wasn't a problem. Sometimes to a lesser extent, sometimes to a major extent. I don't recall much from when I was a kid, but one thing I'm aware of is that even before the invention of modern day computers and celphones, I had trouble waking up early, going to sleep at ''normal'' times and a general lack of energy during the day and excess of energy during the night. It's actually so ridiculous it's funny, I can spend an entire day feeling like I can drop dead from sleepiness at any moment, but comes midnight and all my sleepiness goes away.

During highschool, most students from my class didn't like waking up early, but they didn't have much trouble with it. It was more of an annoyance than anything. Meanwhile every day for me felt like an herculean task, felt like dragging my body throughout my house and into school. It's funny, as I write this I remember a day a classmate came to school completely hangover, and the state she was in was kinda how I felt every day (but less r-slurred).

And it didn't really get better as the hours went by, if anything it was WORSE. I had school from 7AM to 1PM, but during thursdays it was from 7AM to 5PM. Those days, during the last class, I'd be so tired I'd have to consciously try to keep myself awake. But that's not all, I would get home at around 6PM and sleep from 6PM to 12AM, obviously missing class on friday. So I had a choice: either skip thursday afternoon classes or skip friday classes. I was physically incapable of attending both.

But why am I writing all this shit?

Recently I tried to 'fix' my schedule. I was going to sleep at around 4 or 5AM and waking up anywhere from 12AM to 4PM. So yesterday I woke up early and stayed awake the whole day. Went to sleep at 12AM, only to wake up at 4AM and feel like a walking corpse. I was frustrated and obviously tired as frick so I slept from 8AM to about 3PM. I've been thinking about this and researching as much as I can about sleep cycles and nocturnal people, though researching this stuff is kinda aids.

Right now I'm thinking of saying screw it. Trying to fix in 'normal' hours feels like trying to force a cube into the ball hole.

blaming women for every crash is insane - but it is valid.

this is the natural conclusion of diversity politics. when you elevate foids and every other demographic to positions on the basis they are foids or whatever else, people become less trustworthy.

was this woman a competent pilot? probably, but it doesn't matter - diversity politics ruined any respect she might have.

i've been reading a lot of sirpings blogs and learning a lot from him, and I think he might be a genius.

Would you date a gay man inside a woman's body?

Not a :marseytrain2:; the soul of a gay man wakes up inside the body of a highly attractive and curvy woman. He retains all his memories and personality traits, just carried over into a female body and brain. Is it gay? Would you do it? Consider that this is essentially a woman with an extremely high s*x drive and is also willing to do anal and other freaky shit most likely.

indigenous woman who is also a vidya designer, on the "indigenous" section on CBC:

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1738535042xLgI-VGYUxwIwA.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/1736985021_Y0gDvOzFFprVQ.webp

Neighbor why are "indigenous" and "aboriginal" activist foids always like the Whitest motherlovers on the planet? :marseyxdorbit:

When the video game Custer's Revenge first came out more than 30 years ago, a successful boycott eventually caused it to be pulled from store shelves The controversial video game, made for the Atari 2600 by Mystique (now defunct), depicts indigenous women tied to trees and cacti and r*ped.

https://external-preview.redd.it/til-in-1982-a-game-called-custers-revenge-was-released-for-v0-6WyhtVQFAC-f5KhVztxZMVzJpBJRTfNOCrdRDnRRwb0.jpg?auto=webp&s=34f410f92f86a2bcdd3db36d7d54e8c1dae66a2c

When indigenous game designer Elizabeth LaPensΓ©e found out this game was again available for play online she took to Twitter to voice her outrage.

"The game reinforces systemic violence against native women," said LaPensΓ©e.

Daniel Starkey, a Chickashsha Nation game journ*list, was researching a story about Native American representation in games when he came across YouTube videos of Custer's Revenge. Starkey spoke with LaPensΓ©e about his find. The two of them were able to find several game-play footage videos on YouTube, but it wasn't until Starkey dug deeper that he actually found a playable link to a remade version of the game.

"I'm not in a position to go to that link, download it and play it. I don't know how far back that would put me in my personal healing," said LaPenΕ›ee from her home in Oregon. But Starkey did download the game to prove that it can be played.

"[It] made me sick to my stomach and brought me to tears," said Starkey. "I respect its right to exist, but it's almost impossible for me to figure out how anyone could consider the game of cultural value to anyone." :marseyfrozenchosen2:

IT WAS ALREADY BOYCOTTED WHEN IT CAME OUT

THE COMPANY THAT MADE IT DOESN'T EXISTS ANYMORE

THE DEVS WHO CREATED IT ARE IN THEIR 70S OR 80S IF THEY ARE STILL ALIVE

ARE YOU GONNA CALL FOR THE BOYCOTT OF SALΓ’ AND ERASERHEAD NEXT? :#bruh:

LaPensΓ©e is a former game journ*list turned game designer. Until now, LaPensΓ©e had not spoken out against violence against women in video games. The gaming industry has come under fire for its sexual harassment against women and female game designers and journ*lists have had their safety and lives threatened.

LaPensΓ©e said she has stayed quiet for this very reason.

"If anyone were to attack me in that way, I just don't have the allies in the game industry who would help protect me and look out for me, I have the native community too," said LaPensΓ©e.

For me stepping out isn't just about the game industry, it's about personal experiences and having to be the voice of someone who is part of a statistic, that a game like this is reinforcing what creates that statistic.

  • Elizabeth LaPensΓ©e, video game designer

LaPensΓ©e, who designs games that promote indigenous heritage and healing, said her decision to speak out now is based on her career's work.

"This has been my whole life's work, starting off as a g*mer and then looking at native representation in video games. And finding the places that we can step up, and step in and define our representations ourselves," said LaPensΓ©e.

"For me stepping out isn't just about the game industry, it's about personal experiences and having to be the voice of someone who is part of a statistic, that a game like this is reinforcing what creates that statistic."

In the last 24 hours, since LaPensΓ©e`s initial tweet and the follow-up Twitter conversation, several videos of game-play footage have been taken down. Starkey added the footage violates YouTube's terms of service by containing explicit content and uncensored nudity.

LaPensΓ©e said that even though a game like this exists, the indigenous community can change the narrative by replacing the content with positive messages.

"We can make games too. We're completely capable of it. The cowtools are much more accessible, the technology is much more accessible than it used to be," said LaPensΓ©e, adding a lot of her work is responding to a game like this.

Holy fricking shit, imagine sperging out about a game that was 31 years old (now 41) by the time this article was written, this is even more pathetic than the Brapzilian Pentecostal TV channel in 2011 sperging out against Duke Nukem 3D :marseyxdorbit:, this is like if Jack Thompson came back from the shadows and started to shit on Doom and Doom 2 30 years later :shyyt:
