Thammy was treated at a clinic where she was told she was at risk of thrombosis, and that she could have developed necrosis had she remained in the ice another minute.

Unable to put any pressure on her feet, she said she now gets around the house by being dragged around in a garden chair by her mother, who pushes her from room to room.

I'll preface this post by saying that it's not a political statement. I have no agenda here other than telling my own story, and I have no ill-will towards anyone in this community.

I'm detransitioning. I have many reasons – Some related to my medical health, some to my mental and emotional health, and some to changing feelings about my identity. I won't go into too much detail here, as I like to keep my private life private.

I will share that the medical issues testosterone caused me had to do with reproductive system health, blood pressure and cholesterol, undiagnosed polycythemia, and mental health issues. I'm not a doctor, so I'm not in a position to make any medical statements.

However I feel that I have the obligation and the right to share my story about how testosterone was harmful to me. Because of these side effects, and the psychological trauma I experienced due to them, I began to reconsider how I feel about my identity and my body.

I came to the conclusion that I'm simply a masculine lesbian woman. Transition wasn't the right path for me. So I've reversed course and am becoming the person I feel I was meant to be all along. My feelings of gender dysphoria have been resolved. Through detransition, my medical and mental health issues have also for the most part resolved, and I'm feeling much happier and more optimistic for the future!

That's my truth. Your truth may be different, and I respect that. Please take a moment to think before you send hate messages. I'm not putting any hate out here and I'd appreciate it if you all would meet me with the same respect. And no, my account has not been hacked. I stopped posting new work here because of what I've been going through, and because it started to feel disingenuous when my mindset about my identity shifted.

My intentions with this post are to share my story and to reach out so that followers who are going through similar things know that they're not alone and there is support. If that's what were happening I'd agree with you. However the 100,000x fold YoY increase in the usage of the words "Nazi", "Fascist", and "regime" to describe our democratically elected government suggest to me that reasoned discussion of government policies is not primarily what's going on. When subredditors describe what they're doing as "doomscrolling" that word seems to have a negative connotation, in my mind. LOS ANGELES — Former Vice President Kamala Harris stepped on the NAACP Image Awards stage Saturday night with a sobering message, calling the civil rights organization a pillar of the Black community and urging people to stay resilient and hold onto their faith during the tenure of President Donald Trump.

"While we have no illusions about what we are up against in this chapter in our American story, this chapter will be written not simply by whoever occupies the oval office nor by the wealthiest among us," Harris said after receiving the NAACP's Chairman's Award. "The American story will be written by you. Written by us. By we the people."

The 56th annual Image Awards kicked off Saturday at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in the Los Angeles area.

Harris, defeated by Trump in last year's presidential election, was the first woman and the first person of color to serve as vice president. She had previously been a U.S. senator from California and the state's attorney general.

In her first major public appearance since leaving office, Harris did not reference her election loss or Trump's actions since entering the Oval Office, although Trump mocked her earlier in the day at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

Harris spoke about eternal vigilance, the price of liberty, staying alert, seeking the truth and America's future.

"Some see the flames on our horizons, the rising waters in our cities, the shadows gathering over our democracy and ask 'What do we do now?'" Harris said. "But we know exactly what to do, because we have done it before. And we will do it again. We use our power. We organize, mobilize. We educate. We advocate. NAACP Hall of Fame

Harris was honored during the ceremony along with the Wayans family. The family was inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame in recognition of pioneering contributions to film, TV, sketch and stand-up comedy that have shaped Hollywood for decades.

Keenen Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans Sr., Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Kim Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. each were recognized.

Awards recognize L.A. residents impacted by wildfires

Image Awards host Deon Cole honored residents of the nearby Altadena neighborhood who were affected by January's devastating Los Angeles-area wildfires.

There are more than one million drones lawfully registered with the FAA in the United States and there are thousands of commercial, hobbyist and law enforcement drones lawfully in the sky on any given day. With the technology landscape evolving, we expect that number to increase over time.

FBI has received tips of more than 5,000 reported drone sightings in the last few weeks with approximately 100 leads generated, and the federal government is supporting state and local officials in investigating these reports. Consistent with each of our unique missions and authorities, we are quickly working to prioritize and follow these leads. We have sent advanced detection technology to the region. And we have sent trained visual observers.

Having closely examined the technical data and tips from concerned citizens, we assess that the sightings to date include a combination of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones, and law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and stars mistakenly reported as drones. We have not identified anything anomalous and do not assess the activity to date to present a national security or public safety risk over the civilian airspace in New Jersey or other states in the northeast.

That said, we recognize the concern among many communities. We continue to support state and local authorities with advanced detection technology and support of law enforcement. We urge Congress to enact counter-UAS legislation when it reconvenes that would extend and expand existing counter-drone authorities to identify and mitigate any threat that may emerge.

Additionally, there have been a limited number of visual sightings of drones over military facilities in New Jersey and elsewhere, including within restricted air space. Such sightings near or over DoD installations are not new. DoD takes unauthorized access over its airspace seriously and coordinates closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement authorities, as appropriate. Local commanders are actively engaged to ensure there are appropriate detection and mitigation measures in place.
