Otherwise I cracked my egg and started playing Blazblue Cross Tag battle Now I'm looking at other Blazblue games and I drunkenly bought a RWBY game on sale though I've never watched an episode of that in my life

I am bored of games TBH, I thought about getting Palworld, but decided to just self improvement maxx instead.

Started playing We Happy Few. I remember it being one of those games that looked like they would never leave early access. Changing a lot of mechanics with each iteration, using proc gen for the game world, being extremely open to YouTubers playing it. In my mind, it was somewhat stuck in that ocean of indies like Hello, Neighbour and Sir, You Are Being Hunted - games that might have cool concepts but seem to have a disjointed development and little hope of fully realizing their vision. Although I saw it being officially released a few years ago, I didn't think much of it, knowing that DayZ also got plenty of official releases despite its raw nature.

The fact that it got recently added to GamePass and its Swinging Sixties aesthetic, which I am a fan of, are the only reasons I picked up We Happy Few a couple of days ago and I am definitely surprised how far the game has come since I last saw it. There is now a proper story and set pieces and what seems like even multiple characters available for a playthrough. At times you can see the proc gen world seams and remember the earlier versions of the game, but if you stick to following the quest markers, you might not notice that aspect of the game.

Tried out Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game.

Got bored of it 2h in. Uninspired writing. Uninspired interiors. Cool premise wasted.

I'll use the anonymity I have on this site to the full for the first time ever, and admit that I have played for some time, and finished this week, a weeb game. Atelier Ayesha The Alchemist of Dusk.

I was either extremely annoyed or bored by the characters and their stupid dialogue. But I like RPG's, and this game is an RPG. Stats going up, killing monsters with bombs made in cauldron (this is canon for the story, all items are crafted in a cauldron), getting money through fetchquests which actually require you to use alchemy to get the thing to fetch. It was satisfying, even if characters were stupid and cringe.

And the alchemy system was genuinely great, it absolutely elevated the whole experience to the point that I will probably replay this game someday. It felt like the right kind of crafting, and a central piece of both gameplay and the (alright) story.

Also, it has a time limit which I actually liked. Decision-making feels more impactful when time is a resource.

In summary: don't recommend its cringe weebshit of the worst sort.

But I had fun.

Cuphead music is fire

I have been continuing to play RimWorld, as is tradition. I've been sending drop-pods full of cats to an ally because my colony's ethos forbids the harming of cats, but simultaneously I need to keep a breeding population of them... and they breed so prodigiously that they threaten the food supply.

Me and my friend are still playing Grounded (I think it's been like half a year at this point) and I just want it to be over. We are so close! D:

I also played like an hour of Dark Souls 2 and bounced off of it immediately. The vibes were off. It's a shame because I was so into Dark Souls 1 and 3.

Got into Mount and Blade: Bannerlord recently. I'm really conflicted on this one. It holds so much promise but seems just unbelievably tedious. The things I didn't like about the earlier games don't seem to have been improved that much.
