I'm convinced that rdrama has shit taste. Try to prove me wrong - Planescape: Torment
This week's entry will be Planescape: Torment
A CRPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons setting of Planescape in which The Nameless One, an immortal amnesiac, sets off on a quest across the infinite Planes and gathers a party of conflicted companions to find out who he is and reclaim his mortality. Throughout it, he faces the consequences of the horrors he committed in his past lives and tries to find the root of all the torment plaguing his companions and the Planes.

Finally started playing Cult of the Lamb, it's fun! Definitely love the style and music, combat is surprisingly good, and the game keeps getting free updates. I tend to dislike rougelites but this is more akin to Mystery Dungeon with runs expected to be won, not lost.

How's the colony side of it? I'm a whore for colony sims and the theme seemed cool

It's a pretty even split, too early to see how deep it goes, but you have to be engaged with both halves of the game so neither is optional. So far I'd say it has less depth than something like Rimworld, but far more than roguelites as a genre. I'd actually compare it to Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity in terms of constantly working towards new things that make you stronger in dungeons.
