Torment is one of the best-written games of its era and arguably still is, with Disco Elysium being the only real competitor. It is also the first time Avellone used his “amnesiac progresses through the game by picking up pieces of his former self” trope so it is still fresh. He would later re-use it for KOTOR II, Lonesome Road in New Vegas and Prey (2017), to the point that it is comical. It is a great plot the first time around, especially since you have to follow-up on multiple of your former selves with each having a distinct personality and a tie-in to the various characters or locations in the game

One of the better depictions of Sigil in media, although it is purposefully hard to envision without conceding to the limitations of your chosen medium

Seeps with ‘90s aesthetics and humour, similarly to the original Fallouts. Has plenty of raunchy sexual content - the Avellonian specialty. Includes a self-insert by the maestro himself, as a wizard who turned himself into a wardrobe in a brothel, just to get his hands ehh drawers on the panties of all the working girls at the establishment. Can perpetually sniff any article of clothing put inside of himself

A great game that is perhaps weighted down by the real time combat aspect of the Infinity Engine. Unlike the original Baldur's Gates or Icewind Dales, you don't get a full party until mid game, so early encounters can absolutely btfo anyone who doesn't know what they are doing

The isometric graphics are nice, but I always thought they aged worse than the Baldur's games or the original Fallouts. I think the character models are bulkier and occupy more space, so you can see the imperfections more clearly

Planescape Torment

i put like 150 hours into Elden Ring since Christmas

i'm still on my first playthrough lol. lot of time spent in co-op with my friends who also got it around then. beat the fire giant last night on my own.

tried a few different builds but now feeling pretty good with Dark Moon Greatsword Intelligence build wearing Blaidd's armor and jacking up the poise with Bull Goat Talisman.

hyper-armoring through invader attacks is tight

Malenia made me rage quit elden ring till dlc announcement, playing dishonored and hades till then.

Also Factoriocels is your game actually that addicting ? I thought it was a joke until i saw the hours played by its reviewers on steam

Finally started playing Cult of the Lamb, it's fun! Definitely love the style and music, combat is surprisingly good, and the game keeps getting free updates. I tend to dislike rougelites but this is more akin to Mystery Dungeon with runs expected to be won, not lost.

I'm playing Elden Ring... again.

Picked up Tekken 8 but it just made me depressed because I can't play for shit and my hands hurt after 5 minutes practicing Lee combos and I feel old

I shamefully admit to relapsing on MMO addiction and playing ff14 again. Got through the MSQ and will probs grind out some raiding if I can find a group until the xpac in June.

Still playing Elden Ring, beat everything with my Unga Bunga str/faith and started a new Arcane bleed/regalia abuse character. Whenever I get seethemaxxed I quit to desktop and play Noita instead.

More Sekiro. I beat Genichiro Ashina on top of the castle. Awesome fight. Rolling everywhere in Souls and ER always makes the player feel a bit weak. In those games, your enemies are much stronger than you and you need to dodge around everywhere waiting for the right opening in their 20 hit combo to slap them with your little R1. Meanwhile in Sekiro, almost every defensive move you can do is just as cool as your offense. Deflecting, punishing sweeps and stabs, etc.

Still playing palworld

Been playing Book of Hours, but have gotten to the point where the time investment is not worth it. Still no idea how to even finish the game.

Started Receiver, good for a game jam game, but still frustrating if you get a bad seed.

Pizza tower, it's pretty fun and charming, I can see where the hype comes from.

I've gotten to the addiction stage of Palworld. This game is stupid fun. I knew it would be great when I could pick up the Vulpix thing and use it as a hand held flamethrower.

I am still not playing Rogue Trader, but I am replaying Wrath of the Righteous for the fourth (fifth? I think it's 4 and a half because a run glitched out on me in C5 once) time after the sale on the 2nd season pass got me.

Also replaying Hogwarts Legacy because a vid of it popped up in my youtube recommendations and I felt like reinstalling Maybe I'll get past RT prologue before June
