So far I've beaten Black, HG, Pearl, and now finally started Pokemon Y. HG is clearly the best, in my opinion. The plot lines may be a bit weak but the amount of content and specifically post-Elite Four things to do is so much greater than any of the other games, especially Pearl. Black has an ok amount of post game stuff to do, like fighting Cynthia and rematches with E4 and your rivials, but the second half the map doesn't really add much and honestly I dislike a lot about Black/White that brings my overall opinion of the game down. HG's safari zone is the best I've seen in any of them. Pearl's post game is just more following Barry around in the Battle Island or whatever until you get the fire legendary who is so dumb looking it's comical. Kind of odd to make the endless battle zone a canonical part of the plot, but whatever. I think I would have liked this game a lot more if I had got Pearl. Shaymin is easily my favorite Legendary or whatever that I don't remember from when I was a kid.

Y really has a great selection of Pokemon from what I've played so far, especially compared to Black and Pearl. I probably could build a handful of different sets of 6 that I would be happy with moving forward with where I am right now where as in B and P I felt like there was often only one or zero reasonable options for a type if you wanted say, fire or water on your team, either for coverage or just HMs (why doesn't Seimitoad learn waterfall in Black? Or Elecktross learn any water HM?) i don't know what happened in Pearl with it's awful pokedex but at least in Black you can say “Oh, well they're all new so you gotta give them a little slack for not having all their bases covered.” I will say Pearl had an excellent selection of ghosts, which I've always liked.

Trading and then importing all my dudes forward into Home took hours, and very glad I'm done with that. The only pokemon I lost were an Arceus, Darkrai, and my favorite of my three Shaymin, all of which I got from getting undistributed items hehehe. DNS exploits work perfectly aside from those three.

Last time I posted about this, someone wanted to see my clear teams, so here's my Pearl and HG ones. My first and rematch clear of the Elite Four on HG were both the same, just second was grinding for Red. Side note, I'm like 99% sure my HG is a bootleg, which is great because I'm not paying $150 instead of $30, but every time I shut down the game, I have to soft reset the system to get back into my save and I can't use the game corner or the game crashes.

Humankind the "Civ killer"

I'll be honest I actually enjoy it more than Civ 6, significantly more I would say, and it's entirely possible it's not due to the honeymoon phase.

Biggest factor beingthe actually engaging combat, which is prominent in both games but in Civ 6 is super lame and boring (Civ 4 death stack were superior non ironically).

I really enjoy its core mechanics, combat, the weird culture combination you can do, the much greater freedom with city building than in later Civ's, and graphics style, that is maybe not superior to classic that is Civ 4, but is certainly far more pleasing to the eyes than that of Civ 6,

Now, the game is broken and unbalanced, so it's mixed rating is not only due to shitty release. To this day there are plenty of ways it breaks down if you do certain builds, narrative events are half-baked, and some of them are downright stupid if you think about what they are saying.

Also, my PC barely runs this game at solid ~10 fps, so that says how much I enoy the expereince.

I've been playing deep rock galactic. Also picked up vicky 3 @Cream_a_da_crop (very fun) and some of those classic ea games that dropped yesterday (also great).

Balatro is so Goddarn based and sticky. This game just owns so hard and is perfect for steam deck

Been playing deep peepee galactic: survivor. Its kind of a mid survivor game.

Rimworld and CK3 still.

Since the legends update my playthrough of CK3 has blown up, my notifications are unmanageable since I've conquered most of western Europe and vanilla has no options to dismiss all notifications. Think I might call it quits and consider this a total Dutch victory Not sure which total conversions have been updated yet but might try Elder Kings or that vampire one out.

I've been playing some Tactics Ogre on my Switch. I hate the level cap!

I've also downloaded Catherine and DMC3 but didn't start them yet because I'm occupied with Tower of Time - Indie RPG that uses a weird mixture of RTwP, tactical combat and dungeon crawling. I'm already quite annoyed at its length but I have to finish it!

Before the most recent patch that nerfed a bunch of stuff and """fixed""" heavy armour (it's still dogshit) I really loved Helldivers 2.

Saying that I just don't like how difficult they've made everything and I was really looking forward to using a tank build but alas that was not ment to be, so i've decided to take a break from playing and wait to see what the next big update adds, though I may check out the upcoming warbonds, but until then a I can barely stomach one ICBM length mission.

As to what i've been playing the most this week that would be Balatro. I still really like it!

Elite dangerous, finally getting around to engineering my ship so I can go be space trucker in VR and not have to worry about combat.

Beat rogue trader, now enjoying the new season of Fortnite

Beat cup head today was a pretty fetch game.

AoE2 when the game doesn't ban me for playing.

Slay the Spire a bit. I hate it; no skill, all RNG. Mid-game you just play your hand and hope you get a good hand.

Also a bit of Driftlands. Early game is fun, but lategame is just waiting for the hero Ai...

Looking for something new, now that I got banned from Paladins and can't grind Battlepass.

I saw the trailer for Death Stranding 2 and I decided to give DS another shot because I quit it last time after about 3 hours of playtime.

I don't know what happened this time but it's got me hooked completely. I've played it for about 6 hours today and I don't understand why I'm enjoying it so much. In essence the whole game is a fetch quest but it doesn't bother me at all and I even go out of my way to get all 5 stars and also help other players.

My only complaint with the game is that the combat gets too easy once you acquire the Bola Gun.

FF7 Rebirth. 30 hours. Chapter 8 of 14 i think. I gave part 1 of the ff7 remake a 7/10. Beautiful but wtf. For fantasyshit people, it's like Wheel Of Time. A different cycle of ff7. I give Rebirth 8/10 so far.

New action roguelite called Bore Blasters (so close to "Bussy Blasters" yet so far ) that's like half mining game, half your typical action roguelite "go on runs, shoot the monsters, level up in runs and perma upgrade between rounds." Excellent game, only had it for two days and can't put it down. The balance is a little off, it gets weirdly hard mid-game but once you unlock the third pilot and his ability to turn a wave of blocks into gems the game then gets really easy. And chaotic when you combine that skill with the powerup of turning mined gems into bullets. Like a billion little particles on the screen at once, surprised my computer didn't catch on fire.

Also playing various Command & Conquers since they were just released on Steam finally. I've played them a ton over the years but they're still just as fun as ever. I miss that era of gaming when the stories were mostly cheezy B-movie fun with C-list actors doing FMV cutscenes. Bring back FMV cutscenes!

It's alright game but got a bit boring towards the end, wasn't a huge fan of the final dimension with the messed up geometry and tanky enemies either. Overall it's weakest of the 3 New Blood shooters

It's because one of the major methods of bad faith apologetics for hate movements is the Tu Quoque: "They're just as bad".

But -- importantly -- the female-dating-strategy is not:

pushing their members to remove condoms to commit rape;

pushing their members to commit rape;

pushing their members to assault men;

pushing their members to murder men;

pushing their members to stalk and terrorise men.

Importantly, there are no mass murders committed by FDS adherents. There are no restraining orders that we're aware of that cite the FDS subreddit. There are no men on Twitter stepping forward to say that members of the FDS movement are bombarding them with unwelcome tweets and direct messages, sexual advances, and photoshopping pornography of them.

In fact we cannot find any credible evidence that there are any groups of powerful women who take over institutions of power to leverage oppression of men as a whole class.

So calling them anything like "incels" is comparing sour apples to radium poisoning.

Lies of P. Rather fun

I finally picked up Hollow Knight again after I got filtered the last time due to one hard boss and low attentionspan. I'm really surprised how I could've dropped it last time so early, it's really addicting now.

The lore is very sparse, which motivates me greatly in going forward and discovering more. It is a cool way to reward exploration, at least for first time players. That said, exploring is fun it's own way. The responsive controls and freedom of movement due to them enhances the combat and exploration/ platforming.

The only annoyance so far is that some bosses don't have checkpoints directly in front of them.

Still working on replaying Doom 2016, I've been touching grass a lot lately.
