Souls games are one of most platinumed games on psn profile. Since they are hard only for normies when in comparison to hard game as NG master difficulty or even hi-fi rush maximum difficulty are harder than souls game

I always wondered why the true achievements scores for those games weren't higher

I guess only people into souls likes and skilled with the genre are the ones bothering to boot them up

They're most often platinumed because they're relatively simple to do so while 95% of other games need you to collect 1200 mail letters hidden in trash or some suchb

Souls games have some bs collectables like often you can't get all weapons spells on one go and there are some very abstract timed quests.

But thing what makes souls no that hard is you can overpower the content by lvl up

Witcher 3 is harder than dark souls its also a lot longer game but as you see booth games request same amount of time

I have platinum for Witcher 3 but not for Dark souls 3 because I ain't going to play the whole game again to unlock a stick I never going to use

I've been looking for hard games like DS, and that series and Elden Rings is all I could find.

Different genre, but Faster than Light is a favorite of mine. Shit can be going great until one thing happens and everything spirals outta control within a minute. :marseyastronaut2genocide:

Souls games are not hard, they are tedious.

The only 'difficulty' is 'boss with instakill attack' or 'boss that is really hard to deal with cause there's 2 of them'. None of the PS games are conventionally hard. They just have spongy enemies/instakill attacks that make neurodivergentis go :soyjakwow: I finally managed to hit that perfect 2 frame window and chip 1/20th of the boss' health, 300 hours well spent!

I don't think it's hard. Just a bit dated and clunky when fighting multiple enemies. If you do all the side quests and level accordingly it's not hard. But I already played it multiple times :marseyboomer:

DS feels baby difficulty. Once you know all the poorly choreographed boss attacks and instant kill death traps, you can breeze through it.

It took me a while to get to Sen's fortress. It took me significantly less (2hrs?) to make it with a second character. Not difficult; just bullshit deathtraps and instant kill attacks. IWBTG/Cat Mario syndrome.
