Game to Discuss?

This week, let's discuss Two Point Hospital, the latest(?) and greatest(??) in hospital simulation technology. I was much more a fan of Project Hospital, released at the same time, which went much deeper into how actual hospitals actually function, but this game has undeniable charm, and the fantastic elements were always funny, with equally funny curative methods.

As always, discuss below, and vote in the pinned comment

Played it for a while back when it came out and liked it well enough. Has a good sense of humor and doesn't try to change things up drastically from classic Maxis type sims. Actually been meaning to play it again lately.

Aim to finish my F&H run and start a F&H2 playthrough, also play Andy & Leyley

I've grown kinda frustrated/bored of fighting games, will wait for the Granblue august patch and frick off from the genre when Granblue dies. Unless Project L pulls out a miracle (it won't)

I'm on integrated graphics so my selection of what to play is rather limited

I played a bit of F&H. It seems like a game where the whole thing is picking up map knowledge for subsequent attempts. That is allright but having death screens be minutes long is just disrespectful of my time so i refunded it.

I picked up the game for aesthetics mostly, pure mechanical gameplay is lacking (it is a Rpgmaker game after all). You can watch Worm Girl's vídeo on YouTube for a similar experience.

It has a few interesting mechanics, philosophies and a lot of details, but also a lot of bullshit.

I'm at 17 hours and on the later half of the game, so all in all its not like I'm wasting 100s of hours

There was some real skill progression in the game... that was pretty cool and fun.

I had most of the map filled in but I didn't find any quests in town

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

The game doesn't have some kind of quest pop up lol, you just do what people tell you to. Like, I played it some years ago and never once had trouble with finding things to do out of everything. It's decent but definitely a bit dated.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Yeah but no one told me to do anything except for the Radscorpion killing quest. I found one quest that told me to be ready a few weeks later or I found a quest for a faction that wanted me to go somewhere that needed a powersuit or whatever

Playing Borderlands 2 with @khaoskid664 and other friends. At first I didn't think it was very fun but then I got a gun that wasn't dogshit so I'm having a better time now. Also switched from the sentry guy to the Mexican.

I don't get the writing. Jack works because he's the villain but everybody else is too obnoxious to be likeable.

I replayed it not too long ago. It's a really fun game, although I hate that they never really added level scaling except for UVHM. And UVHM sucks because the ""difficulty"" is too high, which really just means everything is tanky as frick. Slag is mandatory, so the entire game devolves into "have some kind of sidearm or ability to slag enemies so you can shoot them with a normal gun and kill them".

We would've played through the DLCs, some of which are fun, except again no fricking level scaling. So when we go to start any of them the enemies are all fricking trivial which is boring af.

I haven't looked too far into mods but if there's one that tweaks UVHM and adds level scaling to all the other modes, I'd literally give it another playthrough.

what a good fricking game, it just needed time

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

I started playing it like 2 years ago and was really impressed. I thought the city seemed kinda boring and not cyberpunky enough when I was seeing clips of it, but when you actually play it, you get the full sense of scale and it's really pretty incredible. Also, it's the only first person open world game I've played where the characters you interact feel like actual characters instead of stiff animatronics. I definitely plan on going back to the game when I feel like I have time to sink into it

Played some gamepass games since I haven't used it in a while.

Payday 3 solo and offline since I hate playing games with rando gigatards, but darn the AI crew members suck. Also, even on normal difficulty the game sends waves and waves of piggies at me, like seriously hundreds per level if you wait long enough. And WTF is with the ninja cops with cloaking devices, when did this series get so goofy? It's still fun, just feels like it could be 1000% better.

Another Crab's Treasure. Since this is like superduperoverwhelmingly positive on Steam I figured it's a good gamepass game to check out, and I don't get it. The combat is clunky and the camera is worse. Doesn't look great. It's pretty mid. Do so many people love it because it constantly comments on le heckin' late stage capitalism? I thought Steam was chudboy central.

Not on gamepass and long delisted from stores, I fired up Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast on Steam last night since this sweet mod/fix pack was just updated for it: https://github.com/emoose/OutRun2006Tweaks/releases Also works with pirated versions, so go sail.

I played Celeste last week and it is in contention for the best game I ever played. The platforming is really well done and the game just hits that perfect pace where every challenge is just the right step forward from the last one and you constantly are getting better but not getting stuck on any one part. Also the graphics and music are 10/10.
