This week, let's discuss Stardew Valley, the mediocre indie clone of a mediocre genre. Honestly, I don't get these games. I've even tried some of the Harvest Moons, and one of the Rune Factorys, but it's never struck me as an especially appealing genre. Maybe it's because I've actually had some experience with real farming, and find all the autism in these games to be entirely misdirected. Regardless, lots of :marseyarthoe8:, :marseychonkerfoid:, and :marseyfemboy: seem to find this game to be the best thing since uncut peepee, so I guess there's your audience. Stardew is an okay game but I don't understand the cult appeal. The numbers-go-up is fun for a while and then very abruptly isn't and you're just left with shame.

Going through the cycle of wattering plants everyday is so fricking boring and when I finally got the sprinkler it did practicaly nothing. I know you can upgrade it but nothing else in the game is good enough to make me want to keep playing
