i got recommended a video about 100%ing cookie clicker and realized its the perfect thing to feed my autism until slay the spire is on sale. on day 4, at 170 HC/112 achievements. i was going hard nolifing & doing combos on the first 2 days but i ran out of steam and have been mostly idlemaxxing since then. depending on how i feel tomorrow i'll try and push combos to get 365 hc so i can do my first ascension. im pinging !g*mers since i was late to the thread because of hieroglyphs award

Ever since the Endurance update I have had idle fancies of doing a freighter-only run. Initially it was going to be one of the huge capital ships because those have the highest possible inventory and stats, but the regular smaller freighters come in much cooler designs and so two years later when I finally got around to doing that freighter only file I have opted for one of those; to my detriment, but there are much cooler ones.

After thinking it over for a few days, I decided on the parameters for the freighter only save file. It's permadeath of course (max stack sizes remain the only real challenge in PD, and they're more of an annoyance than anything). Freighter only does mean freighter only.

• There will be no other ships aside from the default Radiant Pillar which I will slowly upgrade to max slots and S class. Repaired crashed ships can be salvaged and scrapped for cash and tech though.

• There will be NO terrestrial bases at all including farms and mines (stellar extractors and cultivation chambers make these technically unnecessary on the commodity crafting path anyway).

• I will buy nothing aside from tech modules which can't rightly be acquired otherwise.

• No use of hubcoin or exploits.

• All transportation between systems is done via freighter. This is particularly frustrating because since Endurance, even otherwise basic freighter technology (i.e. the hyperdrives for different stellar classes) is only accessible via research with Salvaged Frigate Modules and these are an absolute nightmare to obtain. Even a Cadmium drive takes 6 of the frickers.

Around the 15 hour mark, the Radiant Pillar is B class, it has an almost maxed Positron Ejector which has so far proven to be adequate even for pirate dreadnoughts, though it will surely lose if it goes up against a Sentinel one. Will attempt that in 25k nanites when I upgrade it to A for higher base stats. Still handles like a boat even with a near-maxed pulse engine.

38m units, 5k nanites on hand (I have been spending nanites as fast as I get them so this is not accurate, I've likely had around 120k total so far. I prioritized cultivation chamber and some decor research for the freighter over utilities though this is now changing; 3 SFM down, need 6 more to visit red stars with the thing.

Almost done with Dragon Age 2. Not a bad game but the respawning enemy encounters that drag your party out to four corners of the map before siccing guys right on top of your squishy mages are aids. Also the reused maps

I've heard the dlc is better but I won't start it until I've done everything in the base game because the Xbox versions of the DLCs apparently have a chance of corrupting all base game save files

I kinda like the story of seeing Kirkwall change over time. Anders became my new favorite Dragon Age companion when he blew up the Church

Ive been replaying Ghost of Tsushima. It's a fun game, especially on Lethal mode.

Deus Ex and NIKKE

This week I finished Fallout 4, excluding Nuka World. Once I finish that, I'll probably put up a review of it. With that off my back, I've had the freedom to actually play other games, specifically Mini Airways, which is not made by the devs of Mini Metro/Mini Motorways, but is still a great game in that vein, with the twist that you're the ATC for a specific airport. It's a lot of fun, highly recommend if your autism is aligned. Besides that, I started another colony in Rimworld, and have been playing more Eternal Return.

I'm going to finally start playing RDR2 this week! First I'm going to upgrade my laptop to 32gb RAM from the 12gb it came with. I thought 12 was a pretty bizarre number, but I bought it anyway, because I got a good deal on the processors and SSD.

Just finished Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree. Great DLC with some kino bosses like Rellana, Messmer and Bayle. The Radahn fight was good and it took me like an hour and half to beat the darn boss but the fight is kinda ruined by the intense lag fest in the second phase with some of his moves mainly the holy orbital strike and the constant flashbangs. Also frick his near undodgeable double slash into cross slash move, shit is cancer. All in all really good DLC, love the light greatswords especially the Milady, backhand blades and the smithscript weapons are also fun.

The Knight's Lightning Spear incantation is probably my favorite faith spell in all of the souls games.

TF2. The bots are still gone and its tons of fun.

Been doing more of what I've been doing lately, playing older shit.

I was always a huge Final Fight fan but never really played much Captain Commando, its unofficial sequel, and it's pretty weird and bad butt. Not as good as FF but up there.

Metroid Prime Remastered looks and plays great.

Messing with some older Need For Speeds: Carbon, Undercover, Most Wanted. Most Wanted is basically Burnout Paradise 2 for better or worse.

The first Kane & Lynch game. Lots of fun. It's just nice to have a story and set pieces and all that crap rather than every shooter being a multiplayer arena battle now.

Also played some newer stuff, the just released free to play WH40K: Speed Freeks, which is seriously underwhelming, and a recent twin stick Metroidvania called Biogun which is getting better the further I get into it but the game engine is serious jank. If you have a browser open while playing the game, the game will likely crash.

Idle game autism aside I'm gonna try to get back into Lisa The Painful. Any advice from people who actually know what they're doing in it, cause I remember it being a weird jrpg style except you couldn't just grind out levels and there being perma death
