Game to Discuss?
This week, let's discuss Hollow Knight. At one point I'd thought it was a 2D dark souls, but in replaying it (some) this week, it seems like it's actually a more typical metroidvania! Who woulda thought? It's shockingly well put together, especially considering that it's an indie game, with gorgeous art and a decent soundtrack. Enemies are pretty varied. The losing your soul on death mechanic is pretty annoying, and doesn't really make a big difference in how the game works, but there are few other missteps. I'm old and a sucker for a new WoW expack. It's pretty good much more alt friendly. Writing is still awful but black one armed warrior lady isn't quite as bad as a wheelchair dragon.
