I'll tell you what im NOT playing! SPACE MARINE 2 BECAUSE THEY FRICKING RUINED IT!

They catered to whiny r-slurs that refused to learn how the play the game and now the difficulty is fundamentally fricked. There is 0 tension because you know that if you do take damage you can just spam parry for free health.

Play the erenshor demo. It's basically an offline mmo that has bots that pretend to be humans. It's such a cool idea. I love how random bots exist and farm but you can go up to them to say hi. You can even whisper them to follow you and they're like ookayyyy xD. What a genius idea for a game. The demo is actually doubling in size in October. If you give party members loot they'll actually put it on and say oh thanks i needed that or give it back saying it's not useful.

Got back into Bioshock Infinite. Good game.

Never played, only have a vague idea of what it is. Some jap shit. You know I feel about that.

Arnold Hendrick, the late boomer who made Darklands, for some reason has several hours of Huniepop on his Steam account. It's not known if this him or perhaps a family member. He died before anyone had the guts to ask.

Monopoly UK editon

I'm finally playing Warhammer Rogue trader which I bought a year ago. Pretty good so far in the first 2 acts

I played Astro Bot. Reminded me of super mario galaxy a lot at times. Fun if way too easy platformer, 8/10

Finished my playthrough of hitman blood money and currently going through hitman absolution.

Space Station 14 (they finally remade SS13 in a real engine). It's a pretty faithful remake which means it mostly has the same strengths and weaknesses as the original. If you play it for long enough you will create some absolutely amazing stories of the wacky bullshit that happens in this incredibly deep sandbox, but also you will waste dozens of hours because at it's heart the game is a directionless sandbox where you kind of just have to hope that something interesting randomly happens before the captain randomly gets bored and decides to restart the round.

The UI is a bit less terrible though so good work to the dev team.

Ace Combat 7 , and forza horizons 4

I was on vacation for most of the last week, but have been sick since coming back so I played some Pathfinder WOTR. The game is pretty decent but one of my companions was secretly a furry which would have caused problems a year ago but since becoming BFFs with the Daryl Davis of furries ( @Kang-PrimeTimeline ) I am more accepting of the smelly fox wizard roaming around with me.

Got back into playing Crossout. The game's in a better place than when I left it and the mecha legs update is a shitton of fun. Blasting a helicopter build out of the sky with dual Quasars is beyond satisfying. Apparently the paypig/whale tier has a problem with meta builds but that's a paypig/whale tier problem.

Also I'm checking out the update for Cursed 3 and it's pretty good. It's the perfect Halloween game, just running around a spooky haunted house and blasting supernatural boys and the update added some new jumpscares. the fake exit screen baby doll jumpscare got me good Though the forced hiding in your room when it's midnight mechanic still sucks. Also I remember the second half of the game shits the bed when It's revealed your a alien princess/god and you stop running around the haunted house. Still fun just not as fun.

Playing the new monkey ball, actually pretty good, it only took them almost 2 decades to make another good game that isn't 1 or 2

Lots of cool stuff came out this week I didn't have time to play all of it though

Firstly, Tiny Glade, which I had hoped would be more like Townscaper than it is. Still fun to put things together, but not as enabling of creativity as I'd hoped.

Secondly, Frostpunk 2 & Shadow Empire. I will have to give both of these more time, but they seem good, generally.

Thirdly: CK3's new DLC lets you have playable landless so I got that. The game as a whole is a lot of fun, but I haven't even had a chance to play an adventurer.

Finally, Against the Storm also has a new DLC, which is mediocre, I'd say. The new biome is interesting but I haven't figured it out yet.

Just finished May Payne and am currently on Max Payne 2, very fun games!!!

been playing a shit ton of the original deus ex. also sometimes playing disco elysium and this rhythm game called beat hazard 3 that just syncs to my music library. Next on the list is probably some cool point and click games I found on GOG

Picked up WoTR again like I said and I forgot how LONG the opening is, holy shit. I'm cheating through it and its still tedious I think its what made me abort my last playthrough

Sigh.... Space Marine 2

I was expecting a gears of war analogue and I hated it because it wasn't that at all. After about 10 hours or so I realized I wasn't playing it right. Now I love it.

The stuff that matters in the game is earned by playing it and the cosmetic shit can be bought if you like.

Hopefully it's successful and serves a lesson to Western devs. Just make a good game and the usual pay pigs will buy your cosmetic shit while the core players become loyal fans that continue to buy your games.

Project Wingman. Beat the campaign, not liking the Conquest mode so I'm bailing until the devs get around to updating. Trying to decide what I should play next now.

Tried to play the PoE gauntlet event. Just died to act 5 kitava

I found out the chrono trigger remaster has cut content readded. Been 20+ years since i played it so i gave it another try.

Game is still good but its shorter than i remember. The extra reptillian content is a slog of collection quests. Havent made it to ng+ to try out the other cut content but i dont have high hopes.

DBZ Kakarot

Some gems this week.

Anger Foot - Great FPS/3D platformer/beat 'em up with funny, crude humor. Reminds a lot of Mullet MadJack from earlier in the year. I love that there's a pretty big dirtbag/B-movie vibe in vidya lately. And in good games, too, not just in amateur throwaways. (and speaking of, about to buy Iron Meat which came out this week, another glorious blood and guts throwback)

UFO 50 - Even if you don't like a lot of the games, it's amazing what they put together here. 50 games that emulate the style and gameplay of early NES era through roughly mid SNES era. Some of the games irritate the shit out of me with purposely awkward controls and some are worth $5 or $10 alone. And I've only played like 20 of the 50 so far.

Cygni - I'm not gonna go too in-depth on it as I'm not sure there are a lot of hardcore shmup fans here (and I'm busy today) but this was much better than expected. Fast and chaotic and pure adrenaline but doesn't play like a typical '90s Japanese shmup, which always irritates the weebs.

I tried Abiotic Factor and was really disappointed by it.

Felt like it could have been a bit of a mix between half life 2 and system shock 2 but they added prominent crafting and survival features and I just don't care for that shit.

Also their lighting and sound is broken.

War Thunder (I have 'tism)

I've been playing Dwarven Realms and having a lot of fun. It's as if PoE and VS had a baby. Yeah, I know, another VS clone. But I feel this one has enough variation to the formula to make it stand out among the dozens of other VS clones. It was also only $13 CAD which I think means it's free in America dollars.

SRW 30 still. A bit too much side content and it really highlights the greatest strength of SRW is its weakness. The insistence on making Victory Gundam and Heavy Metal L-Gaim happen in the same world as Zero from Code Geass taking over the world but the EFF needs to fight the Wulgaru and Neo-Zeek x2 forces is too
