"Very hard" mode. I'd do survival if it weren't for the lack of fast travel, and I'm here to play a game.

I'm level 14 on my new druggie playthrough of FO4.

I used to give myself drug and alcohol addiction immunity.

This time I am not even going to cure addictions. I'm going to suffer the withdrawal symptoms of anything I use.

I am currently addicted to Jet (-1 AGI).

Not only will this eventually erode my STR and lower my carry weight, but I will have to dedicate more carry weight to drugs to deal with it for missions and random encounters.

As a druggie, I will be allowed to lockpick but never advance in hacking terminals.

I will be expanding my settlements for the purpose of making money to make and distribute more drugs and alcohol and grind to enhance drugs use.

When I suffer from withdrawals I must use drugs to cope.

Whenever I am asked about why I wander the wastelands I never respond about my wife being murdered or looking for my son because I live for drugs.

Butt Creed odyssey

Butt Creed Odessey can have epic story moments, and then the writing can take a nosedive - like finding your dad is so hyped and then you find him at the atlantis portal and there is no fanfare and in 30 seconds the scene ends'

and ur like wtf - i would have expected a little bit more fanfare

instead the writers were asleep in that quest. point is dont play Odesey for the gripping plot - play it for the setting and spectacle

On the other hand there's great character moments in quests like when Testikles, the Spartan olympic champion 🏆 which you had transported to the Olympic games with great difficulty, suddenly dies just before the marches takes place and gets eaten by sharks 🦈🦈🦈 then your character has to pick up the slack and take his place

Space marine 2 has taken over 200 hours of my life so i decided to ween off it by buying darktide

Finished Kirby Epic Yarn and Return to Dreamland Deluxe a lil bit ago. EY is fun but i see no reason to ever return to it but RTDLD is great and I 100% even if extra mode could be a pain. Love that little freak magolor.

Taking a kirby break for now (only have triple deluxe, planet robobot, and star allies to do) and picked up FF6 (only have played ff7 remake) cuz it came to xbox and is a play anywhere title. I'm very bad but am learning and enjoying the story. I just got to terra waking up.

Picked up Zelda EOW cuz the gameplay looked interesting even tho I don't care for the other games.

Played Shadows of Doubt on the s*x box and it might be the most raw game I've ever seen released as a "final product". Tons of menu pop ups don't register, using surveillance cameras turns the NPCs invisible and the game's audio just stops working after about an hour of playing. It doesn't have these issues on PC, so I wonder whether the developer (some ) was contractually obligated to release it, because it is definitely not a finished, yet alone a polished product. I thought it was early access still, but apparently it is the 1.0 version and the dev thinks the current game realises his original vision. If you look in the comments on the latest post, there is not a single positive one, as everyone swarms around the dev and demands answers. The game feels honestly just 40% ready and yet the guy is already dropping the intensity of development and plans to focus on other projects. Feels like a shame, since it was one of the more ambitious titles in the immersive sim genre, using procedural generation to the advantage of gameplay. I personally had high hopes for it being a trendsetter among the indie community, but seems like the developer himself must've grown tired of it before that happened.

Ghost of tsushima. A couple years back i had a roommate that would usually stay in his room on his pc and I'd use the living room to watch random fricked up movies I'd find. Then he got this and the living room was his because that's where the ps5 was and after starting it myself i totally get why he got obsessed, great fricking game

This week I've been playing Timberborn. It's a lot of fun, I had been avoiding playing because badtides looked dumb, but they actually make the planning that goes into the game a lot more interesting. That's kinda it, besides a little more Gensou Wanderer.

After a few weeks without much free time, I've been playing Astalon - Tears of the Earth. I'm about halfway through and it hasn't grabbed me fully, I like the 8-bit vibe but it's pretty grindy for a metroidvania. Also, after all the reviews dropped for Space Marine 2, I noticed I had the first in my Steam library, probably from a bundle. My wife dragged me to family shit this weekend so I've been playing it on Deck while ignoring them. Runs pretty good, 60fps at 7W, but some of the text and UI elements aren't scaling right. Otherwise, it's a pretty fun game, I get why people were excited about the sequel.

Been playing Insurgency: Sandstorm for the past few months.

I don't want to pick up a new game any time soon because I've started building a social life since moving to a new city and I also need to focus on studying.

V Rising. About to kill Dracula

Completed a run of Rimworld with the Royalty ending. The other time I bothered beating it I built the ship. Is the Anomaly DLC recommended? From descriptions seems to me like it takes over your run more than the others i.e. I don't see myself ever turning off Royalty, Ideology, or Biotech, but I would chose to do Anomaly or not. If it's recommended then next time I feel like Rimworld I might do that ending.

I've been playing a lot of FTL Multiverse - very fun, but I don't understand the storyline at all

Pinball Spire was fun. I finished it in like 3 and a half hours but it was cheap and my foid will probably like it too. It's a metroidvania inspired pinball game.

Finished with Severed Steel's higher difficulties except the 1 health one because I'm not neurodivergent enough for that. Can't figure out what to play next.

Thinking maybe those Tomb Raider games since they're on sale and I'm a buystrag but idk

I finally got stealth camo for snake and raiden in mgs2 and couldnt be more done with that game...

Until i pick it up like 2 years from now and can start hard mode with camo lol

as someone who doesnt like mobas or overwatch, i did not think deadlock would be the game for me. To my pleasant surprise, i have been enjoying it way more than I thought I would and have played 165 hours over the past month and a half. I think the reason why I like it is that the idea of a moba is interesting, but i cant stand the controls, and overwatch is kinda neat but it has very shallow mechanics in comparison to a game like team fortress 2. By combining the two, you fix my issues with moba controls/perspective and you fix the blandness of overwatch.

I find the game extremely engaging as a whole as you're always trying to optimize every second of your time, but in particular the laning phase is especially engrossing. Securing and denying souls while managing your positioning and putting pressure on your opponent is a lot of fun. I thought this phase of the game would be really lame because why would i want to shoot at bots in a shooter but I think they did an amazing job at making this aspect of the game fun.

The midgame is well, the "mid"game haaaa. there are some fun fights that happen but a lot of it just rotating around the map and clearing camps which I think they could make more fun by at least having them move around or something. Id like to see them either make farming more interesting in ways beyond just figuring out the optimum way to traverse through the camps according to the current state of the game. This is usually where midboss starts being a relevant option but I wish it had mmo boss mechanics so that it feels less like a DPS check. Just make it do some "dont stand in the red" circle shit and it would be way more interesting. Overall, id say the midboss and the rejuvenator buff is interesting as an option, is well balanced, and serves well as a secondary team objective. I also think the ability for a team to steal the rejuvenator is really neat.

I love the late game as thats when your character is fully realized and the team fights are the craziest. If the teams are even you can have some really exhilarating back and forths where you take turns chipping away at each other's base. I do wish the objectives inside the base were a bit more interesting though. They serve their purpose but they don't really do much. Like even the walkers and guardians are at least somewhat threating. I also wish that the flow of end game fights in the pit were less "wipe enemy, spend 20 seconds shooting the patron" and more "try to kill the opponents while desperately shooting at the patron" . The patron is just not relevant enough to the actual fight and neither team really plays around it strategically.

I've caught Card-vid again so I've been playing the Card Incel demo and also blood rayne because it's the spooky month.

Wanted to play the new diablo 4 expansion too, my rogue was a cute coloured girl, but BIPOCs run on coloured people time

about 60-70% through WoTR act 3 I'm having fun but I've also been plotting out a trickster run in the back of my head. I keep getting stuck in a loop of "what build should i play? maybe a portrait would help me decide. what portrait should i use? deciding on a build would help me decide"

also I discovered while build planning that aeon is a spontaneous caster?! how tf is that supposed to make sense

It's cool I guess, but didn't really grab me. I guess now I know what it feels like to others when I won't shut the frick up about Dark Souls or Mass Effect

Final Fantasy 16 on PC is probably the best FF game I've played since 12 it's pretty darn good. They've figured out a good way to reintroduce using magic into the game. Story is obviously influenced by game of thrones but good in its own right.

Only negative is that it really pushes the hardware heavy and there's some areas that have low frame rates. Could be better optimized.
