Supreme Commander is this weeks game. For those unfamiliar with the game, it's an interesting RTS, with more thought put into it than most. The physics are detailed, small rises in the terrain can stop shots, and some lategame units can crush others underfoot. Honestly a lot of fun, vote below in the pinned comment.

I've played a few games, but not so much over the last few weeks.

I played a little GTA3. I was expecting it to be bad, but I had no idea it would be this bad. The driving stuff is fine but the on-foot stuff is awful, especially when combat is involved. And it's yet another game where the developers had no fricking idea what to do with the right analog stick, which is becoming a growing bugbear in my revisiting the PS2. Might play some San Andreas soon to see if they actually managed to refine things.

I also played Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Can you believe it's the first Castlevania game I've ever played? I like the tight combat and varied enemies but I'm not sure it's going to hold my attention all the way through. But man it must have been fricking rad in 1997.

Played more Skyrim, on a save I've been playing off-and-on since 2018. I've basically completed every quest outside of the DLC island, which I will start shortly. Last session I finally ran Ulfric through with my blade. I played Skyrim when it released and had kind of mixed feelings about it, but coming back it has firmly established itself as one of my favorite games - the kind where you feel a sense of melancholy when it's over. I really hope that that 'Skyblivion' port of TES4 into the Skyrim engine turns out well.

Started playing Songs of Syx. I'm still very early on and quite undecided at this stage. The tutorial was completely useless so I don't really know what I'm doing or what to expect next - perhaps that's a good thing. But the game is so slow paced that getting wiped out by a noob error would be a little frustrating.

Played some Age of Mythology Retold skirmishes. Shaping up to be my game of the year.

Played some StarCraft 2 coop missions with my friend. Pretty fun - I really had fun playing as Arcturus Mengsk. I just wish I could play Zerg better because throwing endless waves of fodder at my enemies is my favorite style of RTS play, but I can't macro well enough,

Also tried to play some Assetto Corsa. Qualified really well in a Ferrari 550 GT1 race car with 620 horsepower and no driver aids. But every time I set my rig up, my cat just steals the chair, so I didn't actually get to race. >:(
