Darklands

I've been playing Darklands but haven't updated my LP for a while because there's nothing that would be interesting unless you're actually playing the game. I already showed how all the major systems work and I want to demonstrate them in action in the mid-game but I've accidentally let my party get too strong. There's a quest I want to do in Aachen but can I make it there in time? That's all the way across the country. Maybe if I buy horses (yes, that's something you can do in this game).

Anyway I still enjoy playing but there's not that much left to write about, just the main plot unfolding, which is really not a huge part of the game. Maybe when I'm done I'll write a little bit about the historical inspirations for the game. Or go on to Hidden Agenda, a game from the 1980s about being a dictator in Latin America (mostly based on Nicaragua & El Salvador) which I wanted to do an LP of before but I figured nobody would care. @Nightcrawler somehow both options would involve a lot of hagiography, the latter about St. Oscar Romero.

Factorio

As for what I'm playing just for fun, I came back to Factorio after a month and I have no idea wtf is going on. I remember building some of these mining outposts but why are they not connected to the factory? I laid down a bunch of railroad tracks so I could have two trains on the same line but I didn't put down any signals, so I have no idea how in the heck I planned it to work. Do they even need to be on the same track?

And wtf was I even trying to do when I quit? I see from the production graphs that everything was basically shut down because there was a surplus of everything. So wtf was my bottleneck? I think I was trying to build up my... something... on the home planet before I colonize others. What was it?

Anyway I can start really getting into the new space DLC content now.

after a mere 270 hours in balatro, i have finally purchased slay the spire. just won my first run on ironclad yesterday (immolate carry). i can definitely see what the hype is about, the dopamine is insane. i can tell i have my work cut out for me skill-wise compared to balatro. a lot lot lot more decision trees. a lot more hidden mechanics to learn. not sure if i'm cut out for beating a20 with every character but i'll give it gods honest try.

The second Ace Attorney trilogy

Not much gaming here but I was at the Comic Con (Stuttgart) and waited with my dumb r-slurred foids for almost every single BG3 voice actor. THE ENTIRE LINES WERE FILLED WITH FOIDS, MANY IN COSPLAY. AND THEY PAID 50€ FOR AN AUTOGRAPH. HAHAHAHA.

At some point I got annoyed so I waited outside the line with an almost naked tiny 2B cosplay thot who complained about creeps. Do you know how emby it is standing with someone half your height and prob half your age???? I spotted an insane Galaxy Express 999 cosplay and fell in love. It was probably a guy but who cares.

Anyway, I didn't even see much of the con because I was rushed from A to B because apparently all foids know exactly where they want to go. Apparently I also insulted a furry and a drag queen somehow and either I am out of the weeb game but 70% of these cosplay I have never seen before.

And then there was a massive audience for the BG3 voice actors on the main stage and it was full of giga cringe you wouldn't believe it like an obese woman (they/them) asking the voice actors to wish (and then sing) her happy bday.

Tl;dr weebmax and slay questionable young foids otherwise dont go to a con

ys origin: pretty good, but some enemies are fricking annoying. It's fun, but I'm pretty confident I don't to want to run it back as the other 2 characters. 8/10

valkyria chronicles 4: great. I didn't expect to like it as much as 3, but I really enjoyed it. 8/10.

Kirby forgotten kingdom: I enjoyed upgrading the powers, but other than that it just felt like kirby made the start of a transition to 3d it should have made like 20 years ago... 8/10

heaven burns red: a really funny yuribait KEY vn trapped in a shitty gacha game. 9/10 as a book, 6/10 as a game.

holocure: I had not touched it until now and genuinely did not expect this game to be this fricking good. 9/10

dishonored - death of the outsider: great, idk why people keep crying about this shit cause there's a black woman on the box or something, it's fun as heck just like every arkane game. 9/10

Mostly arcade shmups. Feeling the pull for something bigger though. Left 4 Dead 1/2 was always a Christmas classic for me, maybe I'll fire those up for some xmas nostalgia like I did with Super Mario World earlier in the week. Also got some bigger ones in the "Gabe needs a 7th yacht" sale this week: Red Dead 1, Drova, WH Space Marine 2, Wo Long, Homeworld 3, and a bunch of those recent Koei hack & slash games. Maybe I'll start one of those.

Does anyone own Witchfire? Trying to talk myself either into it or out of it. Game looks cool as shit but it's $40, $36 on sale, with no discount despite it being in early access for another year. But it's got a shitload of positive reviews so I guess it's plenty good enough already.

Tekken 8, too. The summary seems to be it's kinda shit online but good singleplayer (which is what I care most about), and nickle and dimed to death with having to buy extra stages and the like. Maybe @DestoryerCarbine or @CamNewton have an opinion on it?

Is the furry single player mmo that just released on steam any good?, been considering picking it up to give me something to grind after all my classes end

This week I've been going through my fall sale acquisitions. Cities: Skylines 2 is not as bad as it was on launch, still not all that great, but it does seem like a slight improvement over the first one, at this point. Otherwise I've been playing Factorio.

Not as much time for gaming as I'd like over the last little while. Finished Mega Man 8 and 11, 8 might be my least favorite in the classic series but 11 was pretty good. It's no 2 or 3 though.

I'm hot and cold with Astalon, navigating the map is kind of a pain in the butt and getting to a point where you have to backtrack a long way can be frustrating. It feels like a deliberate maze rather than an interconnected world like a proper MV but I also like the vibe a lot so it's been hard to drop completely.

Started Blaster Master Zero 2 but haven't gotten too far yet. Also started Crystalis for GBC but kinda regretting it. I heard the translation was better but the big sprites on the small screen are kind of a pain. Might restart it with the NES version. Also working my way through Doom Eviternity while pretending to listen on zoom calls.
