Me (cis f) and my soulmate (mtf) are having our son on Friday and we just finished her second lactation consultation today. She's been on a protocol of hormones that essentially mimics pregnancy and can trigger lactation it's looking like she's starting to produce a milky like substance which she got swabbed today during the appointment. Her breast development has also sky rocketed since the new protocol and she's really happy with that. She's just been glowing and I can see her confidence increasing which makes me so happy for her. If all is well she will be able to eventually feed our baby (we will both be breastfeeding).

The lactation consultant seems really hopeful and excited because there aren't many cases of situations like ours. There have been studies about trans women breastfeeding but what makes our situation a little different is that our baby is my fiancées biological son. I feel like in a way my fiancée will be able to help other trans women in the sense of providing the lactation consultant with this experience and further knowledge on MTF breastfeeding. Her lactation consultant has dealt with lesbian couples before, but not a lesbian cis/trans couple.

On top of that, my fiancée is so excited to be a mother and I know she's going to be amazing at it, I can't wait to see her hold and love our son and I'm so excited to start this new chapter with her. I love her so much.

Goat Simulator. I truthfully forgot about this game from the moment I last closed it (around 7 years ago) til about a week ago, when I'd forgotten whatever it was I'd originally wanted to say about Satisfactory. I have just under an hour of play time, representing a single playing session, and half-memories of the madcap mixture of genres, outright bugs, "bugs," and attempts at humor which probably come off as dated, even to the erudite and learned rdrama dot net. I guess there's also somehow a remaster of the game, which is if nothing else an indictment of our culture's inability to make anything new, instead preferring to "remaster" (theoretically) intentionally bad games. As someone with stretched ears (3/4 of an inch, so not huge but not tiny), the smell is entirely dependent on hygiene. I pull out my jewelry every day, clean my jewelry by hand, clean myself in the shower, and use an oil on my ears before putting my jewelry back in. By the time I'm pulling out my jewelry the next day, I never smell anythingSomeone who just wears their jewelry without removing and washing it daily will end up with that smell (anything worn continuously without washing and removing it will smell). Exactly, I've worn them on and off since about 2013 but it all depends on the person, their hygiene habits, and to some extent the size. I've only gone up to 00g but times when I didn't clean my ears for 1-2 days I'd notice it would start to have a slight dead skin smell to them. Granted, not a heavy one but slight, which tells me if I didn't have the natural cleaning habits I did I would've definitely stunk.The craziest part of all this is how people act like we should just take them out and never wear them again t since the majority of the population don't like them. Those had to go when I got a job. Where I am at now, doesn't care at all but it took several jobs during my career to get to this point. I make six figures because of those early jobs after getting my degree, they were stepping stones to where I am now. And unfortunately, it seems like the lower the pay the more oppressive the rules about dress code are. The only time I was ever reprimanded for dress code was when I was making $12/hour and it was my boss's fault I didn't have any nice clothes (long story lol.) So I advise caution. It's a horrible feeling to be rejected for being who you are. Choose your career carefully so you can find your people. The folks in this sub would have you believe it's rare... That was horrible. With the singular exception of the wonderful TOS time travel tribbles episode, DS9 never once exceeded mediocrity at its very best.

The entire thing was stupid. The entire thing was boring. All of the original characters (exceptions being Garak, Quark, and briefly Nog) were boring and one dimensional. It says a lot when the only actually likable, interesting characters are the two B-listers they pulled from TNG (O'Brien, Worf).

Avery Brooks can't act. None of the cast could act. It's like they were directed to play someone playing an actor playing their part. And then there's Avery Brooks who had to have been directed to play an actor overacting the part of an actor overacting the part of an actor playing Sisko, a man with a debilitating brain injury.

Sisko wasn't even the worst though, that honor is split between Jake and Kira. Jake would clinch it easily if he had appeared more often (though he still appeared WAY too much) and this fucking episode that Reddit ADORES remains the single worst episode of anything I ever remember seeing. Kira ties him though with the sheer volume of her appearances and how the writers were deadset on having her be this sexpot despite being an aging, fuck ugly hag with some of the ugliest hair ever to grace the 90s, a grating voice and an utterly hateful personality. The mirror universe episodes where she was always in leather are going to haunt me for the rest of my life.

"teehee rom sounds goofy but hes actually a super smart engineer" would have been a funny bit for one episode but they built large swathes of the later series around this. It wasn't cute for very long and Rom is insufferable.
